Great to see you back! Those kits look really nice. Not familiar with the Maritaka kits. Those TF kits are a classic. Good builds too. As far as different subjects on the channel go, I enjoy all of the content you put out. I’m a plastic modeler mainly but I’ve also built balsa models so those projects are plenty enjoyable as well. I recently went back and watched your wood ship model videos as well. Found them very interesting even having never built a ship model outside of plastic kits. Happy to see any new videos, regardless of the topic!
Great to see you back, I've missed a good modeling chat. Fascinating wooden kits. I believe a crossover cost compared to plastic models might even out because of high plastic kit prices. That cowling is absolutely stunning. I'm kind of kiding however you could use Wheelie Yellows soda can technique to build some nice real metal panels for the Harvard , I've been watching him at his secret testing sight engineering his new van which I can confirm looks exactly like our USA Postal vans. My Albatross kit came in and it is excellent a fun kind of build like the " old days". I'm going to build it in the Jimmy Buffet livery. I'll switch the liferaft , which is quite detaild, over to a PBY kit. Both will need a little practice on paint mule and possibly water dioroma technique before starting. Happy Modeling, I hope it is getting warmer, Cheers Bob.
I always wanted to build the Top Flight Corsair. It's one of my favorite aircraft. I was gifted the Top Flite AT-6 Texan as a Christmas gift from my brother back in 1995. It's mostly built, but would need retracts and final finishing. I got into R/C airplanes in 1988 and stopped building plastic scale models. Twenty-eight years later I stopped building and flying R/C and went back to my first love of scale plastic models. Most of my R/C stuff has been sold off, but I have enough of it around if I ever wanted to get back into the hobby. The FAA here in the US has taken the fun out of the hobby for me, with their somewhat ridiculous rule changes they've recently implemented.
I wonder what you think about when you spend so much time building these things. Are you listening to music or just lost in thought? perhaps nothing at all?

Very nice aircraft that you have there! I like the Corsair. But I love the Texan! Look forward to your next video!

@@deonjansen I am leaning toward the P 40. I have the Robart landing gear and motor along with most of the bits an pieces to complete the kit.

Nice to see you again.👍👍
Had many RTF aircraft and helicopters about a decade ago.
Too much pain losing a built one.
I remember many hours practicing in RealFlight.
I agree, the warping is not visible on camera.
You can also try ironing the wood. I've gotten some pretty bad dents out of wood by wetting and ironing multiple times.
I do loke me a nice R/C model......i have a PC-9A in R.A.A.F. "Roulettes" aerobatic team scheme
would love to see that
@deonjansen it does look quite nice....even if i do say so.lol
I lived neat East Sale and never got bored watching them flying.
