Great review, Sofyan! The interior of the Pacifica looks very upscale! The Pacifica definitely seems like a force to be reckoned with in the minivan segment! 👌 The exterior is also very sleek, and luxurious looking. Eventhough, the proportions are on the boxy side. Keep up the great work, Sofyan! I cannot wait until I can get my hands on one of these Pacifica's to review, too! 😃 -DriveAndBeDriven 🚘 "The Quest To Record The Best!" 📽
Keep up the great job!! Your reviews are always very thorough, thoughtful, relevant, and practical. You actually adapt the review/feedback to the vehicle you're testing.
The Pacifica was not based on the Mercedes R-Class. The 2004-2008 Pacifica was based on Chrysler's minivan platform. The Pacifica used Chrysler transverse mounted V6s and a Chrysler Transaxle. I say transaxle because the Pacifica was a fwd with awd being optional. The R-Class used Mercedes Longitudinally mounted engines and transmissions due to it being rwd and awd being optional.
05Forenza But in all honesty, when the rest of this car has Audi like fit an finish, solidity, and material quality, who really cars how the door sounds when it's shut?
Am I the only ones who can't wait till they have kids so they can get a minivan? I swear these things are fucking awesome and they're usually fast as shit.
holy shit this was done today... nice work finally got to the new Chrysler minivan 9:05 is fucking awesome missing gen 1 and 3 though .... even with the new Odyssey this may be the best new minivan going.
Unfortunately we know, in 6 months of ownership, we had to repair/replace 2 bumpers and these computerized air shutters that break off when you scrape the front bumper. Cost us over $2000.00 to fix both times. This last time the shutter thing rubbed through the air conditioning condensor-we have no air conditioning. Don't buy if you live in a hilly area! Or get a lift kit for it!
I know just why Americans are going for SUVs/Crossovers. Three words: All Wheel Drive. If the Pacifica had that, I would go for it, but now, I'm going for the GMC Yukon XL Denali.
Question soyfan or anyone. The safety tech that Chrysleruses is it still part of the Mercedes benz group part sharing? I noticed the blind spot detection is the same as used on Mercedes vehicles with the yellow than red triangle when someone approaches.
Good job Redline like always. What's weird is that this van looks like a feminine vehicle while the Town & Country/Dodge Caravan looked more masculine.
Wild thought here, but I do wonder if Town & Country is more of a title than a vehicle. Ie. crossovers/SUVs are the big trend now, and I wonder if the FCA released a crossover called the Town & Country.
Should have kept the town and country name instead of pacifica imo.The name sounds more classy or upscale luxurious as this minivan is inside. Love how chrysler does interiors as suppose to the more tech looking interiors in odysseys or Siennas
Limited is running 50k with options but with all the rebates like trucks have (thanks Trump for the "American" car deal, this car is made in Canada) It really lowers the price. Got mine for $27,500
Sure, 3.6L v6 pushing almost 290hp. 4300lb car with a 6.8 0-60 time. You can burnout at the lights. You won't beat much but v6 challengers, Mazda/Fiat mx5/124 spider, and most economy cars. This thing is just heavy but has an amazing engine
OMG Nice piece of art for a Dad to take your kids to ball games all thought, i think this guy is over complaining (the Sterling Wheel being a little sporty?) i mean it's f awesome that way.
you mean the toyota product that has 3 or 4 recalls on the Sienna since 2015's minor remodel? or the Honda Odyssey with the rather large failure rate of transmissions?
Like how Honda and Toyota has? Has Honda even found a fix for their third row seat magically unlatching in an accident? Has Toyota found a cure for that pesky sliding door opening while driving? You can add them up, but since 2015, Toyota Sienna alone had more recalls than the Town and Country. Honda odyssey is not doing much better either. Don't take my word for it, go look it up.
Don't you have anything better to do in life besides being a bitch to people with different opinions online? Go deal with your daddy issues somewhere else you waste of space keyboard-warrior.
Dented hood which I think was Redline Reviews fault because you don't see it on certain clips,Probably his camera fell on the hood. The door sounded really bad when he shut it but yet still he says ok (IF it was a Toyota that did that he'd be saying "typical Toyota"or some BS).Those seats aren't even real leather. These vehicles don't last,it's going to fall apart in 3-5years. These are the same guys like Redline Reviews & TFL who said the Chrysler 200 was the next best thing & better than the Accord & Camry but the 200 turned out to be GARBAGE & is now being discontinued. This guy is bias towards certain brands & as a reviewer I don't think that's right towards his viewers.
It's all in knowing and identifying a product's intended mission, see if it stands up to it and then make the review. This guy is always trying to compare the handling to Mazda, or make a complain about the plastics or engine choices. What if X or Y vehicle never intended to have Mazda's handling, or soft touch plastics, or a powerful engine? Well you know who's going to complain about it. If you care to know why I'm still here, is because there's still a lot of positive things about Sofyan's reviews, like the thorough exterior and interior reviews, and the 0-60 reactions are very much priceless! Also, check out AlexOnAutos, I think his reviews are the most objective in UA-cam.
I came from a Mazda CX-9 to this Pacifica and can tell you, it is not a Mazda in handling, but pretty darn close. Better planted than a Sienna or Sedona. I also owned a 2010 Mazda3 hatchback.
No sure why I feel you slammed all the moving parts of the minivan and made loud horrible rough noise... driver side door, folding third row, and even the lower drawer under the center console.... It could be your microphone?
Great review, Sofyan! The interior of the Pacifica looks very upscale! The Pacifica definitely seems like a force to be reckoned with in the minivan segment! 👌

This vehicle is awesome. Love what they did the second row features. 8 Seats is the way to go. Excellent review.
Love this - as an artist a minivan is my top pick for a vehicle.
Me 2!
This is the best looking mini van in the world
yeah, alongside with ford s max 1 after facelift (2012):
pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plik:Ford_S-Max_2.0_TDCi_Titanium_S_Facelift_front_20101002.jpg
Interior as well. Has everything an S class Mercedes does. I'm quite impressed with my 2020 Pacifica limited
This is the best currently on the market. Highly refined. but still gives the Sto-N-Go features!
This guy has the best job ever, test driving cars all day.
Main takeaway from this review? You don't buy minivans to go drag racing.
The cubby hole Easter egg has an evolution of Chrysler minivans! That is pretty neat! Even the boxy original.
The Pacifica was not based on the Mercedes R-Class. The 2004-2008 Pacifica was based on Chrysler's minivan platform. The Pacifica used Chrysler transverse mounted V6s and a Chrysler Transaxle. This, and they didn’t share any engines or transmissions with each other. Similar looking vehicles, but different cars all together.
That V6 sounds really good!!
Changed it up and drove through Seven corners :-). I like it.
I heard the 2018 Odyssey Touring Elite will be around $47,000!
These things actually do haul ass surprisingly
9:43 "school bus vinyl" LMAO
Beautiful Van.
"Now Shutting the door......(pflifffgckt) it sounds alright..." lmao. Also, this is just spectacularly bad. I just can't warm up to it.
05Forenza it sounded like shit lol
there are no rattles either... unless you have something in the bottom side pocket. I own one of these.
05Forenza But in all honesty, when the rest of this car has Audi like fit an finish, solidity, and material quality, who really cars how the door sounds when it's shut?
adam lol you must’ve never been in an audi. this fca vehicle doesn’t even come close .
This is a tip to anyone who has these: IF YOU HAVE KIDS DONT LET THEM PUT CRAP IN THE DOORS IT WILL MAKE THEM SOUND LIKE FARTS
They need to bring this into Korea. The mini van market is insanely huge here for some odd reason.
Am I the only ones who can't wait till they have kids so they can get a minivan? I swear these things are fucking awesome and they're usually fast as shit.
@Redline Reviews Can you guys do a NEW Honda Odyssey Full depth Review. Another video of comparing top two minivans.
holy shit this was done today... nice work finally got to the new Chrysler minivan
9:05 is fucking awesome missing gen 1 and 3 though
.... even with the new Odyssey this may be the best new minivan going.
I like your reviews, but the Pacifica has a multi-link independent rear suspension.
It doesn’t show the gear your in on the dash? My Chrysler 200 did our bronco sport with the rotary shifter
Unfortunately we know, in 6 months of ownership, we had to repair/replace 2 bumpers and these computerized air shutters that break off when you scrape the front bumper. "This car will parallel park itself perpendicularly" XD
omg I been waiting for you to do van
I cannot wait to rent this car in Hollywood beach!
I know just why Americans are going for SUVs/Crossovers. Three words: All Wheel Drive. If the Pacifica had that, I would go for it, but now, I'm going for the GMC Yukon XL Denali.
How are these after 100k though? How much in repairs in that span?
Odyssey owner here looking for AWD capabilities but do not like the sienna.
Thanks
But will they still eat transmissions every 30,000 miles?
I want this car for my big familiy!!!👌👌
Question soyfan or anyone. The safety tech that Chrysleruses is it still part of the Mercedes benz group part sharing? I noticed the blind spot detection is the same as used on Mercedes vehicles with the yellow than red triangle when someone approaches.
Please get the new Odyssey soon so you can compare the both!
Tech Defender there both good cars the odyssey is just quicker
Good job Redline like always. What's weird is that this van looks like a feminine vehicle while the Town & Country/Dodge Caravan looked more masculine.
Joshua Johnson Dodge Caravan was the OG minivan. Dodge better make it great again.
I don't know if they will bring it back. Haven't heard anything from Dodge.
Serkan Ister troll
Yes let me hear that sweet exhaust 😻😻
I want Sofyan to review the Limited Pacifica.
My son loves it!
lol they gave you this car with a dent in the hood lol
At 2:13?
D-tay94 I think it’s used maybe

This van seemed pretty slick though.

great review
Nice job.
My dad has a chevy venture extended van lol I push down the roads like it's stolen.. nice review though
Please review a 2017 Nissan Armada platinum
Nice! Great car for drag racing!
I so want one of the loaded models🤔

When I heard the door shut I was like "wtf was that" FCA really need to learn from the Japanese on how to make a solid van or car
you mean the toyota product that has 3 or 4 recalls on the Sienna since 2015's minor remodel? or the Honda Odyssey with the rather large failure rate of transmissions?
william ingram jr just wait till they recall all of this for some huge problem...like all of their cars they make.
Like how Honda and Toyota has? Has Honda even found a fix for their third row seat magically unlatching in an accident? Has Toyota found a cure for that pesky sliding door opening while driving? Panicking
DO A REVIEW OF THE DODGE CARAVAN 2017 .AND DO MORE MINVAN REVIEW.
Can u do a review on the glc
you did a great job as always. what do u think, odyssey or pacifica?
Alpha_Trion odyssey, this will break after 60,000 miles while the odyssey will run strong past 200,000 miles
+John Frantz That is if the transmission doesn't blow.
+Joshua R Nah it'll be fine, the odyssey doesn't use the ZF 9 speed transmission
John Frantz The Odyssey uses the 9 speed in LX - EX-L trims, For 2018.
+Joshua R Well then buy a sienna I guess lol
Awww man there’s no blue mood lighting in the back
20:08 sport mode is "L" on the gear selector.
sofyan can you do the toyota avalon limited plz
Your essentially driving around a first class Boeing 747
This dude would marry Honda if he could lol
They should have called it the town and country and should have made a Dodge version of this.
Shame you have to get the limited to get HID's and that full LED's are not offered. I have a feeling Honda will win this generation.
sDeezyeazy Well I have a feeling you're absolutely wrong, you ass wipe
Don't you have anything better to do in life besides being a bitch to people with different opinions online? Go deal with your daddy issues somewhere else you waste of space keyboard-warrior.
Christopher Bitch have you seen the new Odyssey
I put LEDs in my Touring L plus Pacifica.
Yeah its not a deal-breaker for me since you can buy led bulbs on amazon for $50-75
Next time you review a family car, try to put a infant carseat in the back seat then see how much room you have.
Actually not a bad idea whenever I go car shopping these vehicles always look huge until I put the car seats in
There's a dent on the hood already? 2:20min
Anyone know what color this is?
That door shut sounded like it's broken.
You rii .. Door sound cheat but is depend .. How he close it
Future reliability nightmare. What a POC!
hey honda. wheres your response for this lol
yea thats getting old. besides i mean by techs
The new Odyssey is coming out.
Yeah, reliability is getting old. The Odyssey will be the one of the two to actually get old before you have to replace it.
Cooled seats are on limited
Looks nice but this is the kind of vehicle you want to be completely trouble free for a ten year ownership plan. My money would go to the Sienna.
i actually like this one - and you won't hear that from me about american cars...
Who from Polang
so the liscence plate is bill nye.....
Good review but this guy uses the word "NOW" way too often
Lol these people are blind. Can't you see that was a bottle of mints that rattled on the side door. Watch the video.
good car for soccer moms but that's about it.
not true. I have 4 kids... so it is good for them too :)
I have no kids but lunch break parties always gravitate towards my Pacifica for super Nintendo, Netflix, and music
Sloppy shifts out of that ZF 9-speed. It almost sounds like a CVT with simulated gear changes.

They don't use plush soft leather on the armrests because they would look like shit in about a month.
Lmao the door pfffgghhthtttt
you go too toxic on minivans and SUVs just because you're an enthusiast, which makes for biased reviews
