I love turtles and the way that you showed how to make a bezel setting for the stone. Your instructions are very helpful with details of materials and tools used. I appreciate your calm approach and the way you get information across without excessive commentary. 👍
Those turtles are so beautiful!! Thx so much for this! And I'm glad you had the little mishap with the solder because this is something that would happen to me and I never thought of cleaning it up like that wit the burr tool, so thank you!! Sometimes we learn even more from our mistakes 😉🙃😊
Great! I love the sea turtle! I always fail at the sawing... went through so many blades I finally just let it go and moved on to something else but I love this work and doing this... watching others do it makes me happy and reminds me how much work some things really take while others don't really understand the amount of time involved with crafting things individually instead of in a factory... keep up the great work!
There’s definitely a learning curve with sawing! Some days I still break blade after blade! What helps me is using one size thinner blade than what is recommended when sawing detailed things.
@@SaltyBoatStudio I really did just give up on it. I bought some shears...looked at lazor cuttors..and well, started playing with clay instead..I still have my silver and tools but I just look at them most days and sigh. :) I love designing but hate sawing. I am not fond of polishing and filing either...muhahaha. :) love your work though keep it up !
What kind of soldering board is that, and what size is it? There are so many kinds to choose from, but I like that it is a substantial size. Thank you.
You stated you used laser gold 6/0 saw blades , it doesnt exist by that name amazon(for those of us looking for the tool since you did'nt specify where you got it from) I found it looking under the name jeweler saw

Beautiful piece
I'm enjoying your videos! The wheel burr is a great tip, I've just ordered some to try for cleaning up inside bezels.

Thanks for watching! And yeah definitely try a wheel burr. It’s so useful for grinding out excess solder inside bezel settings.
