To the person demonstrating this video....your precise explanation on the fly is very good and in my opinion ...you should be doing more, in fact all of these videos....certainly if not voicing then the scripting. Well done sir. An experienced user demonstrates things much better. Clarity in words is paramount...this video got it for me. More? Please? HDPro...users need it. The forum users demonstrate anecdotal use on subjects they have fumbled thru predominantly. Too much bad information compounds the frustration. This video on terrain is fantastic. Finally someone who knows this hot dog stand.
Agreed. The tutorial videos are annoyingly impractical. We need more like this where you are telling us how to achieve something. Your manuals dont seem to say any decent information about the process of bringing in a surveyors plan and yet this would be a crucial first step in most house and landscape design!
Why designs a house without the terrain constraints?
Im using the home designer pro 2020 version so it appears that the Advanced Layer Mapping is not supplied with my version? A bit annoying. (Would be great if you mentioned that in the video)
The narrator refers to " in a related video" It that comment is followed up with a number or date people might be able to find that "related video" more easily.
Great video - for someone like myself seeking accurate demonstration of the software key terrain modelling features - I feel like I have just won a lottery.....I'm using HDPro - but the content I ink is the same. Where are the rest of your videos please. I have this ongoing confusion with the terrain modeller...I am yet to grasp the functionality in regards to a building design insertion. Thanks again.

Sorry to say that these videos do not tell the story for me....they are rather out of place for me....there needs to be a better explanation of this feature...'terrain modeller' and this is not it. Its a great tool but Im past fumbling around with the basics...and the videos done by other users are just woefully basic. Someone needs to demonstrate the power of his tool properly - using a surveyor file as the basis

Also, is this based upon importing this survey before you create a new building plan? What about importing after you have built the house?
You can add your terrain before of after you create your building plan.
Can you please give a link where you trace a dwg survey? I can't find it.
