Thanks for the tips. When I sit at the dining room table I place a pillow to raise myself to be more comfortable but then the circulation is cut off at the back of my knees because now my feet are no longer touching the floor and it is difficult to even use the peddle. Just in case others have the same issue, I use an aerobics step platform, you know that piece of exercise equipment that has been laying around being useless (lol) it sits perfect under my work area and it has a rubber top so the sewing peddle doesn’t slip all over.
That’s a great way to raise your feet. I still have one of those steps as well. If you have circulation issues behind your knees , you may need to put another cushion behind you to allow for a gap between the front of the chair and the back of your knees. It’s always best to have 2-3 finger gap between the front of your chair and the back of your knees.
Thanks for posting this. I'm in physical therapy for a left torn rotator cuff and right shoulder impingement. The PT says it will take 3 to 6 months before I am pain free. I had NO idea how damaging quilting can be. I bought your book and watching your UA-cam channel. Also purchased a new cutting table and sewing machine table that rises electronically. THANK YOU!
