It’s so funny to see different perspectives, I am from Brazil, and I have been searching about Malta in videos with people from many different countries.
The perspective about prices, trash, Maltese working mindset, are completely different depending on the background you are from.

Hi, thanks for the comment, we actually did the same exact thing when planning to move to Malta, and when living there the people will also have different perspectives about the topics even between Maltese themselves 😅😊

Maltese wash their floors and what do they do wirh a pail of water that remains. They
throw the water in the street in front of their home. This way they wet the ever pesent dust. preventing the wind from blowing it into their home.

I remember having the larger collection bins (we used to call them skips) in the streets - with the Maltese heat it's impossible to have waste waiting there for days before it's collected. The amount of insects and rats that they attracted was horrendous. Not to mention the smells.

      @WeAreHarvestingdreams  3 роки тому

Thanks for the comment and the information, we didn't know that Malta had skips before 👍

Hi guys, first of all I wish you are still enjoying your stay in Malta. I have to add that what you are experience is the Mediterranean culture. You will find this in other nearby Mediterranean countries such as southern Italy / sicily, greece, south of spain and even south of france. And to add to all this, Malta is very very dense/small, and the heat through out the year will amplify everything.

Hi and thanks for the comment and watching the video 😊 we have now moved on to a new chapter in our lives, but we enjoyed our stay in Malta nevermind all the culture shocks 👍☺️

Sundays in winter are perfect for exploring the countryside. Just grab a bus, pack a picnic and go exploring Delimara, Bengħisa, għar Ħasan, Wied iż-Żurrieq, għar Lapsi, Fawwara, Dingli cliffs, Buskett, Mtaħleb, Landrijiet, Ġnejna, majjistral park...
Don't stay at home watching videos! :)

Hey there! The phone service providers asked you for your ID as it is now an EU legal requirement as far as I heard. This minimises the risk of anonymous phone calls/burner phones/phones used to trigger explosives etc if the police need to trace you down. You have the option not to register on the public phone directory though so only in extreme circumstance you will be identified! (and you should use this option).
If you need anything drop a msg ;) (I live full time in Gozo and part time in Malta).

Great video as always, thank you. Did you know there used to be a window tax in the UK, that's why the windows on older type properties are very small.

@@WeAreHarvestingdreams there have been some strange laws and taxes over the years. Anyways I had to watch again as my wife came in just as you where finishing, she said she was somewhat disappointed this week as you didn't answer a subscriber question! I suggested if she wanted a question answered she should ask one. So here is the question from Rowena. What are your jobs? She's very inquisitorial my wife is. 😁😁😁

    Hi there,
I love your contents, they are always really interesting.
A little detail though, could you do something for the sound quality please ? Like some small microphones that you could have on you both. It can be complicated to hear properly what you're saying sometimes.
    Keep it up dudes

Hi and thanks for the nice comment and feedback :) we actually already have a microphone added to the camera but sometimes its not enough with the noisy Malta :D we have been thinking about getting some lavalier microphones, so hopefully future videos will have even better sound :)

In Malta 🇲🇹 they don’t have heating at all, it’s fucking freezing 🥶 i never froze more in my life like here!!! They think our countries are cold because of snow or winter, but our houses are so nice and cozy, here is freezing 🥶 plus humidity is so high, your bones 🦴 are freezing, and that’s why many many people have artists 🧑‍🎨 after certain age!!!

Nice to hear about the "Positves". Re- "Negatives" hope the respective authorities are watching 👁‍🗨. As to (without sounding defensive) : Throwing washing water onto the street, it's actually "Illegal" ; Garbage bags problem I believe the 'problem' is being looked into by respective Minister 🤞; ID requirement to obtain a Mob phone SimCard is for Security /'Crime Prevention' reasons and one finds this is the practice in a lot of Developed countries like say Australia ; and finally re a lot of Shops not opening on Sunday is because of the old "Religious Sabbath" 🤔. BTW, PLEASE don't lock yourselves "inside" in Winter - go enjoy a nice refreshing coastal or countryside WALK. Thank you 🙏.
    Cheers 👍 🇲🇹 ♥ 🇪🇺 ™

Yes, the amount of trash or garbage on the streets is indescribable, whether in bags or not.
Compared to Belarus, where every city or village is super clean, this is still the most shocking experience after our relocation to Malta.
