- Following in the footsteps of Lance and Andy, two metal detectorists from the series the Detectorists. In a bit of a homage to the endearing show, I visited some of the landscapes of beautiful Suffolk, England.
In this lighthearted comedy, the background is as much a character as the main protagonists. And I wanted to capture some of this onscreen magic for myself.

Superb video, and photography! I love that series and this was a great commendation of the setting and atmosphere they created and discovered. I’m also a photographer and so your assertion that the two hobbies have similar characteristics rang very true. Well done!

The area of coastal Suffolk where this was filmed is a beautiful unspoiled area. I thoroughly recommend a visit if you can.

SO glad to see you back. I always enjoy your vlogs. Lately I've been geeking out on taking macro pics with my phone camera - flowers, insects, tree bark. Do you like macro photography and if so do you have any suggestions other than flowers, insects and tree bark?

I assume that you had landowner permission... or is this open to public.
Yes. Stayed at the camp site. Lots of paths to walk around and tracks to have a wander. Maybe not on an endurance race day though like my first day there!
