- #5 This is a review of the Hustler Fastrak and why I picked this machine for my mowing needs. Are light commercial zeroturns the safest machines for homeowners? I explain the benefits of going commercial over residential and show you how these handle the hills much better.

I bought me a hustler fas trak 54 inch a month ago. I don't know how I really got by without it. It's a God sent blessing.
Great Hustler review! I ended up going with the Raptor XD 42", but I only have 1/3rd acre so even that is over kill. Picked it up this week, can't wait to try it out tmorrow!
Congratulations! You get a lot for the money with those machines.
I have a 2016 fastrack that is nothing but a beast, it has 748 hrs on it and still cuts like a pro.💪
That’s great to hear it’s holding up well!
I use the Big Dog Stout 54” which is the sister machine to your Hustler. I use them for my commercial properties with little to no problems. Mine is now 4 years old and wouldn’t trade it for anything.
I will definitely check them out.
Thank you. In the process of getting one here in Ontario. Can. Have hills as well.
You won’t be disappointed. Awesome machine
I have 2013 FasTrak with a 54” deck. It’s been a beast so far. Started making a noise last year and one dealer told me I needed a right side hydro…$1800! I took it to another dealer and it was the cooling fan on that hydro…$120. Beware of unscrupulous dealers or techs that don’t know what they are doing. Glad I got a 2nd opinion.
That’s great to hear. How many hours on yours?
@@cabinviewventures ….the hours are pretty low for being 11 years old. When I bought it we had 2 acres to mow. A year later we moved and only have a 1/2 acre residential lot….so 375 hours. When the local Ag-Pro dealer told me I needed a new right side hydro I about crapped! This was after they replaced all 3 deck bearings that they thought were the source of the awful noise. That was $300. When that didn’t fix the noise they told it was the hydro and since it was not locked up and working fine to keep using the tractor until it did. 🤦🏼♂️ I took it to another dealer an hour away and here the bearing for the cooling fan on top of the hydro was bad…$120. Ag-Pro received a “glowing” Google review from me…🤣🤣
Bad service is very frustrating. Fortunately I have a good dealer and have bought several products from them because of their customer service and service facility.
I found a 2013 in my area with 300 hrs for about $1700. Is that a good price?
@@poltad …Yes! I was offered that after it was fixed by the dealer who fixed it if I bought a new one from them. I paid $5500 for mine new and they are $8,000 now
I wish they would put a better seat on the fastrak
Guess a 48" deck is out because of that 3" wider rear track. 54" looks close enough.
The 48” deck model has 9.5” wide rear tires vs the 11” on the 54 and 60” deck models.
Just got quoted today this mower 8950 ain’t no way this is crazy
I got mine for $7,000 a year ago. Shop around
@@cabinviewventures i definitely will do that
3 extra inches makes a big difference. “That’s what she said” 😂😂😂
I have heard these use a lot more gas than the raptor models. What do you think?
It might be a little deceiving because it has two small tanks. I can get about two hours out of each
It will use more fuel per hour, but notice it's cutting more acreage pet hour
Thing is a warhorse 🐴.
It really is!
Those tires suck….
Yes, yes they do
Why do they suck? I’m looking at buying this mower this week
