"we can fix anything but a broken heart" love these guys 😂😂😂
Thank you guys, for helping people. Whenever I'm hurting, I tune into your videos and feel the heart of what you're giving. Even though it's my knee that hurts.
This is exactly what I KNEEded right now! :D
Bob: how tall are you?
Hahaha ..me too😁
excellent
thanks for continuing to make new videos, I'll try these new exercises!
always learn so much from watching these videos! my dad has been having knee pain and I want to be able to help alleviate the pain hes having without the use of medication. Thanks for these exercises! :)
Great video!
You guys have the coolest intro on the internet
Thanks for sharing, guys. Just got diagnosed with meniscus issue and osteo arthritis. Starting rehab next week.
Thank you so much! I’m falling apart but you guys are helping me❤️
keep going girl you're not alone
I love these videos, I’m 35 and I went to several doctors and pt’s. I’m going to try that exercise and build up with 2-3 ankle weights. I have weak quads and minor patella tracking disorder.
My dad is gonna love these!
Youz guys are great
I love the intro
You are the best! Really helped me after Multiple Ligament Injury surgery.. Any suggestions of exercises after MUA swelling ? Cheers!
Great video! Why is it so bad to have the knee go beyond the toes, and what exercises would you recommend for torsional stability?
I think one guy is really tall and the other is kind of short. The tall guy doesn’t stoop and the shorter guy has to look up almost all the time. Good guys! I really appreciate what they share.
You guys deserve way more likes...I see almost 8k views but only 5 hundred likes
Thank you so much. I sprained my knee quite bad 5 weeks ago. ACL seems stable according to 4 different doctors. I have confirmed meniscus amd partial MCL tear. But it's the patellar tendon thats been causing the most issues for me. The swelling around it just won't go away so I'm wondering if my previous tendonopathy has come back in force
Bicycling is good too .
I need to tell you two that I feel so much better after finding your channel and doing some of the exercises for different areas.
I do have bone on bone knees and have for a long time, but is looking like I may be able to have surgery on the first one in a couple of more months.
Thank you for including exercises that can be done lying down...and those for more severe problems and older adults.
I also have fibromyalgia, but worse I was diagnosed with polymyalgia rheumatic several months ago. That caused me to be painful and stiff all over, but between the knees and the severe pain in my back and a problem in my hip, I could barely get out of bed and get dressed.
I do keep adjusting my diet to rid it of anything possibly inflammatory.
BUT doing the back exercises rolling the knees back and forth had helped immensely...as well as some others.
I do some of the knee exercises too...I might try the slight squat you show here to see if I can tolerate it.
I have already regained a lot of flexibility these past couple of months overall.
I still have a hard time taking care of the house chores because if I bend over, which I can do now with my back, my right knee pops in and out...that's because beyond the bone on
bone in it, my cruciate ligament was totally severed in my mid 20' S.
Do you have any ideas how I can relieve that till surgery?
I am single and in disability and cannot afford to pay for help in the house.
Anyways, thanks so much.
I told my doctors about you and your channel.
This is much better for me than going to a physical therapist in town...for one you explain how things are working and why to do the exercises, and give alternative ways as well.
Still working on figuring the hip thing out, but it is some betters anyways.
@@charlotteknight7891 for inflammation u can check out Erin Bakers channel on yt 😀n it will get better as u keep doing the exercises n strengthening your muscles ❣️
Man i love these guys omg 😂😂😂 when he threw that stick and he caught it...we didn't practice that by the way 😂😂😂😂
can I get the link to the research
Are these exercise good for Osgood schlatter and stress fracture
Would you recommend for patella femoral tracking pain to do the gliding machine device ?
Can you please show some exercises to strengthen hamstrings and an and adductors muscles for the femur?.
Thank you
TY GY after a stroke?
Wouldnt strengthen the knee muscles add unnessescary weight to the knee cap? Would this help with a fractured tib and fib?
Thsnks. One question: What about the individuals who suffer from both knee pain and low back issues? Aren't the exercises in this video somehow harmful for back pain? Making it even worse?
Lol loves the theme song xD
is it okay to do these when you have knee pain
I've had good results doing squats but holding the bar in front of my neck. I have bad pain doing traditional squats. No pain at all doing front squats tho even ass to grass.
Love the videos! But omg that intro song needs to be updated 🤣
question i do not have a meniscus tear but a left subluxation of the meniscus and it is now starting with the other one ortho surgeon says most likely born with this issue ....can you suggest some exercises to strengthen to help this so it could have a les chance of happening again
Do shallow squats provide the development of muscles?
How about a video for casual lap swimmers? It's a great full body exercise but easy to get hurt in the short term, so how do we avoid injury considering there is so much bad advice on the net, including on youtube?
how long is that goniometer you're using?
Is biking good if i just want to build muscle in my knee
Do these exercises work for femeropatellar syndrom ?
I tried doing this exercise and it's so painful right on the kneecap. Fo i still continue doing them in spite of the crazy pain. Thanks!
Emelyn Sanki if its causing crazy pain you should stop. It's either not good for you or your not doing it quite right and you dont want a literal injury
Now ok??
Hi Guys, I'm Jo's Pilates in the UK. You've helped me so much with various things, but I've had a terrible knee for almost three years, I think it started when I slipped off a flag bridging over a tiny stream, catching my inner knee. It wasn't huge pain at the time, but pain serveral days later flippant
Gosh my message disappeared. I've squats and calf stretches really help, and alignment of knee awareness and I could try your stretchy band with cuff. HOwever 3 years is a long time, and I find if I'm not 'on it' with the exercises and stretches continually, it returns. I avoid jumping jacks and forward lunges and froggy jumps, they're so bad for it. But because it's been so long and requires such a lot of attention and maintenance I wonder about getting a surgeon to look at it??
Sorry to ask, I'm a bit desperate
I have seen about 4 physios, 3 nhs and 1 private, all helpful, but I'm just not sure if I'm addressing the problem as thoroughly as I could. Obviously I'm a pilates instructor, so it's really important I get it right. Thank you, I htink you're so great.
@@jospilates5460 Hello!
Firstly I suggest for you to maybe send this message to them directly through private messaging, or see if they have an email. There's so many comments, I think this was lost amongst them.
I have a similar issue, I've been having constant right knee pain all day every day for going on 2 years now. It started when I was running around campus and jumped off a hill but didn't land quite right.
The past few months it was getting so bad, I finally managed to get it looked at thoroughly. The x-rays looked normal, but the MRI showed I had moderate chondromalacia on one side of my patella, signs of ACL sprain with mild edema behind it.
I've seen the orthopaedist a couple times and the physical therapist once, but they both didn't know what to tell me. (The ortho gave me a cortisone shot which didn't help much at all, while PT just gave me general posture and movement advice which is nice to know but is a bit too late for the level of pain I've been experiencing.)
A couple days ago the orthopaedist gave me a knee brace that has provided so much relief for my trochlear dysplasia. The brand is BREG Freesport, model Knee Brace Patella Support Wrap. There's actually small moments in my day where I don't feel pain now! Before this I've been wearing a brace I got off Amazon for a week, but it was quickly proving to not be much help overall. I'll be seeing the PT again tomorrow, too.
Anyway, this has been a long tangent, but I hope you find a solution that sets you on the right path to relief!
I think Bob and Brad tip a couple glasses before recording, lol
my knee cap dislocate last 2015, my doctor said i need exercise to go back my muscles..and i need brace, i have a question.. walking is a good exercise?
Only if its not paining very badly
I have dislocation knee problems
my legs are getting bowed out at the knees is there any muscles I can strengthen that would keep my legs in better alignment , thanks
Ya actually it's a quite common problem.
I just got a bout of patellar tendinitis from squat maxing 🙏
Poppy Sandal probably from your bar path and form of your back. squats are pretty safe
Where can I purchase the knee glider? Thank you Toni
What is the knee glider i'm looking for it as well
I don't know why but my sartorius gets tight and pulls the patella askew so I need to roll it then I'm ok
Where can I find the equipment that you used? I have knee pain.
click on "more" above", there are links to amazon
Is this same as leg extension exercise in gym?. Is leg extension a good exercise. Can you comment please.
Pranav sharma it basically is. Start at a low weight, and work your way up. Your knees shouldn't be crunching. If they are then you will need to start with the bands in the video rather than the machine
Ariel Banks my knees already crunch (but no pain)even without band. I have discussed this prob with doctor. He just told me to do cycling. He said that it is normal as sometimes bones get slide or slip.
Citation on the article, please. While I appreciate your clinical experience and love this channel, I am not sure about your expertise with research. I'd like to evaluate that study for myself (I hold a PhD and am therefore qualified to evaluate research.) And you should realize that one or two studies are not sufficient. They can get particular results by chance (there is a well-known publication bias: studies with positive results are far more likely to get published than studies with negative or inconclusive results). All one or two studies can do is offer evidence supporting a theory; they can't prove anything. How many studies support this theory? Any meta-analysis of a group of studies? Citing just one study can lead to misinformation and suspicion of science should it be supplanted by additional research later (are eggs good for you or bad for you?). Again, I do love your channel, watch regularly, and get many benefits form your advice. Thanks so much for the work you do.
I agree, they never cite their sources which is frustrating. and by the way, check out dr. michael greger's videos on eggs where he breaks down all the research. his organisation pores through every nutrition science paper published in the english language every year
I’ve had patella knee damage for nearly half a year now been doing all kinds of stretches for months and nothing seems to be working it feels like there’s cartlidge stuck in my knee everytime I move it idk what to do and I’m 18
Try rehab ur knee
Pain is a symptom.. That indicate a problem in the knee or hip. Actually we should treat exact cause. And become pain free. Iam a physio student, in my expierience i have patellar tendonitis 1 yr back. aNow iam pain free by correct stretches.
We did knee dips in the military well beyond 90 degrees. I see people doing deep squats in the gym. I think 90 degrees is maximum but what to I know.
Are they injured now is it BS?
Coincidence ye post this video after I just crashed my bike and broke my kneecap 🤕
I thought toes going over the toes are okay?
"We didn't practise that, that was ALL luck." :D
I was actually disappointed because this is yet another video promoting more gadgets that for several reasons I can't get. I noticed you're not answering comments so I would've appreciated if you'd mentioned if leg weights can be used instead of those bands because I own 2 sets of different weights. I'm going to try using them for some of the exercises anyway because recently my right knee began to "pop" and hurt a bit when I walk, probably because of the squats and leg extensions I'd been doing (before watching the videos that warn against them).
physicaltherapyvideo
Wow, I did get a reply! What an honor, thank you!
What happens is that I live in a rented small efficiency apartment and don't have room for more "stuff", a lot of what I do have is just lying around taking floor space. I'm hoping to move before the end of the year but that's a reason for me to conserve funds right now. But I'll take a look, if the bands are inexpensive enough for me I'll order them.
Thanks again for your time!
You can't outtrain a bad diet... I learned that the hard way training so hard and having poor results. Then I started following the Agoge diet, and I finally started seeing some amazing results.
Bob & Brad look like oku and vegeta
everyone else: don't do leg extensions, they're bad for your knees.
this channel: do leg extensions, they're good for your knee.
wtf
BlackStar Senpai light weight is fine for the knee, but when you started putting heavy loads on the machine it can get a little rough on your knees. I use a few light sets of knee extensions before my squats to get my knees moving and warm and havent had problems!
I thought knee extensions are bad for your knee. Your self made a video on it and even said it is not a functional movement
