It was so fun looking through your old patterns with you again, and hearing your memories about when you made them. And the vintage reproduction fabrics are just darling! Where do you order/buy your fabrics, might I ask? Happy Birthday to sweet Lillian...I'm sorry she was so scared of the fireworks...it just about broke my heart to see her trembling like that! Doug the dustbin cat wouldn't let a little thing like fireworks scare him, lol! He looked so comfortable, perched atop the load of trash! Does he have no shame? No sense of decorum??? haha. And Lizzy is so lovely and easy going. That was the fastest haircut I ever saw! The money you saved she can spend on more Haribos!

Lovely fabrics , I love the old patterns with the pictures ,I made my kids lots of teddy bear picture jumpers in the 80,S. I think I still have the Popeyes graphs to,a neighbour used to give me her English magazine .

That was so funny...the hair cut I mean...it did look absolutely fine though. My dog is the same as Lillian...shakes and shakes..tries to hide when she hears fireworks.
Paula, you should chart out James' tattoos and knit him a flesh toned sweater with his tattoos on it! lol I burst out laughing when you said, 'about this much?' as you started cutting her hair! lol You didn't give her a chance to change her mind! I use to trim my daughter's hair too. One of my very good friends is a hair stylist and she showed me if you take and trim one side then come across the top to the back bringing both sides up you will be able to cut the other side the exact same length. That way you don't keep going from one side to the other trimming until she's got a pixie cut! lol Gawd I love your videos! What the hell! I think is your new tag line! I think you said it 5-6 times this video! lol
I love the new fabrics, Paula.... they're really retro designs. Talking of retro, I also made the character jumpers for nephew. He was about 4 or 5, and sported a rather natty 'Dangermouse' one. I made another, but for the life me, I can't remember what it was. It was sometime ago, so I'll forgive myself as he turned 40 last June! Ah, poor Lilian! Was she shivering when you picked her up? ....it looked to me as though she was, poor baby. I think you were raher brave to take on Lizzie's hair cut - straight in with the first cut (is the deepest :-O ), no stalling, no hesitation, you were on it. I hope James has calmed down by now :--D,

The grey jumper that you called “interesting” is called Harmony by Martin Storey and I knitted it last year. In fact, I wore it on my podcast a couple of weeks ago. It’s a beautiful pattern.

I have a cat who growls at thunder and runs to the basement steps. our old dog used to cower during a thunderstorm, preferably as close to me as possible. We.could hear him.pace outside our bedroom door if it was during the night. The new fabric collection is charming.the animals look like they are out of old Golden Rule books, or Dick and Jane readers. sweet.

My dogs have always been afraid of fireworks, so I've started giving them Benadryl to help calm their nerves. You can Google how much to give them or ask your vet.
