So went fishing today with a new found friend and he was gratious to do a walkthrough of his kayak. These boats are pretty kewl. Would you have one?

That seat needs a redesign. There should be a stop on it at 360 degrees to stop it twisting up the rudder control. Secondly, the side rails for the back recliner need to be moved forward or made longer in a forward direction because there is too much incline in the rear position. Thirdly, the seat is too wobbly and needs strengthening of components and/a bigger base!
I just know when to stop and turn the other way for the seat and rudder,… I personally love the seat position, and thirdly I’d like to hear more about the seat “wobble” because I’m on mine at least once a week and mine is solid as a rock. How well does it do in the shallows for reds? I am in a Hobie Outback right now and I love it but I am interested in the bluesky 360 for another fishing platform just for being up high and ability to see but I am not sure how it would handle in the shallows. How does it pole and paddle?
@@EvansGoneFishing I feel it does well in the flats which is where I usually fish. It drafts very well and the drive drafts very well. As far as paddling goes I don’t have to do it much but it’s not bad at all, glides well being how most of the craft that’s in the water is just the narrow pontoons and the dagger/prop(which comes outta the water fully when retracted)you can paddle with a extra long paddle or a SUP paddle. The width puts a lot of people off but it’s been a phenomenal craft for me! Fits right in the back of my F-150 with a bed extension. Big but with the wheels built in you hardly ever feel it. PS.. I’m totally jealous you’re that close to the factory! 🤣Gonna make a trip up there soon! 😁

One day I’m gonna get me one of those I just think that it being so wide and making it so stable is worth having that bigger kayak or boat whatever you wanna call it. Because to me I don’t want to be in the water and that’s the thing about a lot of kayaks you’re so low I just feel like I’m going to turn over and on that one you can just tell how stable it is.

I know what this is. It's Blue Sky trying to compete with Hobbie for that top of the line fishing kayak. The price tells the story.
All kayaks are increasing there prices Old towns new flagship kayak is pedal assisted and on an older platform. they are 1000 more than a hobie pro angler 360. I personally don't think it is a competition on the hobie as this was suppose to incorporate all the features a catamaran's stability. These boats are especially good for heavier people. Can I put this kayak in saltwater
Absolutely! This is salt water that we’re in during this video. Just rinse thoroughly after use with fresh water!😀
What about if you get into a weedy area that you cant use the flex drive, im worry about the paddling performance since this is a tank.
I’ve had to paddle it when it got really low tide, and it actually paddles really well for a big craft because really the only two points that are touching the water are the two narrow pontoons, which makes for a pretty decent paddle.

@@EvansGoneFishing honestly don’t know but I do know I can honestly say without the Hobie “flutter kick” this drive is the shallowest drive I’ve seen or been on.
This is a noice looking boat but it’s too big. Need a trailer. I would imagine that you could get a good workout pedaling all day

This actually fits right in the back of a full size truck, no trailer needed. I pedal it all day long with no problem. Sorry for just seeing this comment. Any other questions feel free to ask.

Dropping nearly 5K would be the thing ill never get past.
I look at it this way…. Hobie Pro Angler is around the same price but I feel I get a bigger, better platform in my opinion! 😀

How does it hold up in strong current/ rough chop?
These are extremely stabile platforms i can walk all around it
It’s a wet ride on a choppy day but so stable it doesn’t make a difference. Thanks for watching!

can you add a second seat on this kayak?
I now have a smaller 25qt Orion Cooler with a chair back option from Orion that makes it a seat for the back porch! I love it for the kids! Hope this helps! 😀

if new they are pushing the 5k but i have seen used with trailer for around 4k
