What is wrong with being a Tik tok vet? Is it wrong to care about the welfare and health of an animals life? I just don’t get it... if someone has a pet wouldn’t they want to try their best to provide the best life for that animal or do people just not care? or maybe they say it’s too time consuming?, but then why would you get a pet? I just don’t get it!

The one where the person picked their ferret up by their stomach made me so upset :( Imagine how much it would hurt for you to be picked up like that. The thought makes me want to throw up! This is especially harmful for ferrets with insulinoma as it can cause problems with their pancreas tumors.

I hate that tik tok has so much animal videos that’s either cruel or misinformation. Then when you try to tell them that they’re doing it wrong, they call you out and yell at you
I’m annoyed. So I was walking our dogs with my dad and we met a man with an albino ferret and we had a nice chat, we held the ferret (he was happy to be held) and then the man who owns the ferret said that the park managers had told him he had to tell people that his ferret bit (which it didn’t, it didn’t even try to bite once) and I was just like ‘So they’re basically telling you to lie about your pet ferret, saying he bites and may be slightly aggressive?’ When I think about it, it’s like telling somebody that a shark kills with out a second though or that snakes bite straight away, things like that. Also he told us that the women who walk the dogs (only women apparently, being a female myself, I know he didn’t mean this in an offensive way) always say to keep the ferret in the crate because it ‘freaks the dogs out’ (when the dogs are probably freaking the ferret out, also my dogs were getting on fine with the ferret) and that the ferret shouldn’t be there. I feel like people are giving ferrets bad reputations just because of rumours, that’s why I support this channel. I just wanted to get this off my shoulders. I’m sick to the back teeth of people who say ferrets are bad creatures, when they are generally loving, sociable, energetic little cuties which deserve the correct treatment. I’m not calling anybody out or anything, as I said before, I just wanted to get this off of my shoulders. Stay safe

I think she is pretty annoying and just because i think she is annoying doesn’t mean I don’t like or care about ferrets 🙄 I watch other people that actually know a lot about ferrets such as Emzotic. This girl has to comment on everything. Even the things that there are nothing wrong with so to cover that there is nothing wrong with it she says that it can resolve in death or sickness. I just find her annoying. People can have their own opinions and I can have mine.

I have been wanting guinea pigs for several years but haven’t gotten them yet because I really want to be prepared and ready. I'm very glad I have found your channel because my mom (who's had ferrets her whole life, nothing against her, she just wasn't correctly informed how to care for them) took care of our family's ferrets ever since we got them and all of a sudden I've realized that they just weren't too happy and I decided that I wanted to do research and I wanted to make them happier and healthier and I found your channel and you seem to be very educated on this. I really am excited to make them a better home and make them healthier in general. but I want to buy ferret shampoo (my mom used dish soap, which I know is not good at all, and she bathed the probably once every 3 months, I'm guessing. Or just when she thought they were stinky.) And a blanket for my ferrets (they have 2 hammocks but I wanted to just give them a blanket so they weren't cold or anything.) Plus I think my girl ferret (which I may be wrong but I think is called a jill? Her name is Felicia and the boy is Fredrick) Would really like to have a blanket. My cage size is great but I'm trying to get them out of the cage for at least 6-8 hours a day but I have two standard poodles and 2 cats (one of my cats, her name is Mavis, are very well with both my ferrets, maybe even friends with them lol) but I can't let them out for to long because then I have to put my other cat away in another bed room(we call him fat cat, he's a bit plump) and my dogs are scared of the ferrets and my ferrets are scared of the dogs. I have _another_ dog, which I very much dislike, is ok around them, but she mind try to chase them, and she is like a grumpy old lady so I'm scared she might bite them. I also want to give them the raw meat diet, because I'm pretty sure the store bought ferret food isn't as healthy or something? Plus I know the meat diet has tons of pros to their health. I also want to get a little ferret leash for them so they can go on a walk outside, I think Fredrick would like it :)

The gates at 4:08 I have those to separate what my ferret could be around and it was successful.... until he learned how to jump. He is now free roaming every day and all day.

I adopted 2 six year old male ferrets in September of last year that weren't taken care of and I let them free roam all day they have been super happy since they have been with me and I get so scared when I pick them up

I honestly really wanna get ferrets from petco... I want to get 2 and I want to give them the best lives ever I want them to be happy and not sad in petco 🥺 I'm probably gonna do research for a few more months and then maybe try to save up for one or have my family help me out! (But yes ik about the hole mill thing for petco I just think all ferrets deserve a home no matter what 😔)

This was posted at 1 am in the uk but can I ask a question my Nan and grandad hate ferrets and I’m staying with them until tomorrow but they are really putting me down about wanting to get two saying they smell don’t get one they bite and are horrible just forget about it as they had bad pasts with them any advice if I do more research should I stick with my gut or leave one of my dream pets alone a choose another ????
I have a big question! My ferret, Ozzy, tends to scratch at his cage whenever I put him to bed, and I can’t cover his top floor (which is wire). Then I suggest you wait with getting ferrets until you can rescue some from a shelter / private rehome or adopt some from a reputable breeder

I have a baby ferret (2 months old) and whenever I look into his left eye it seems all wet and sparkly, then when he blinks a white transparent liquid gets on his eyelids

It might be worms a lot of animals get these and there white transparent small type of worms that wiggle around in animals eyes

Oh hush up. Smellybellys play pen was absolutely way too small! And she's not telling at anyone she's being pretty calm. The reason she's trying to stay calm is for people who let at her for having an extreme reaction. So, be quite you 8 year old.

Some give both but only yolk is the best for them as the whites leads to biotin deficiency that leads to hair loss. The yolk is the part that contains the nutrients.

It really just depends on the ferret. Mine have never been cable/wire chewers, but I've heard of a lot who are. If you don't know the ferret, I would cover or put up any exposed wires/cables. It's better to be safe, than sorry.
Hey, I might be getting ferrets someday but if I were to feed them kibble, what brand would you suggest or what should I look for in the food? I would rather do raw, but I think it would get so expensive.

@@avabanditapricot8835 they said that they cant afford to do raw?? i suggest a good food kibble is.. wysong epigen 90 ds MIXED with another kibble like orijen is good diet. it has lot of protein so best is mix. those food can get expensive. but there is other diets available.
@@avabanditapricot8835 it is what is recommend by many ferret owner. none of those are available in my country but i ask a ferret group on facebook. they recomend it for me they are american. I can send link if you want to discuss with them.... it is much cheaper alternative especially if havemore ferrets. do not shame for not doing raw diet.
People don't understand their ferrets at all. A strong bond between human and ferret is important. I know my ferrets nature. She gives me love in return. She is indoor/outdoor, never caged. She goes outside at night and comes back in the morning. She licks me to wake me up.

Umm correct me if I'm wrong but ferrets are actually solitary right? Their ancestor the polecat is solitary. Although ferrets are more social than the polecat they still don't require to live with multiple ferrets. They do however tolerate eachother in most cases.
No, they can get very lonely and depressed if they do not have at least one buddy to live with
@@bruhkent6895 by now i do have a ferret and i am convinced now its better to have more than one. However the one ferret I have now shows to be really happy and healthy. She just takes up alot more time because I have to interact with her way more than I would if i had two. I'm planning on getting her a friend so don't worry :) but i must say in my opinion you can have just one ferret as pet but you have to be prepared to invest a ton of time daily.

I have a larger Kaytee cage that they just sleep in is that ok?
[Mod] Hey Grace that Kaytee cage is way to small, even for only sleeping. It can work for road trips and more but it is too small for the ferrets. But if it’s open throughout the day even at night, it is ok to use for that.
