Everything is easy to replace until you come to the strap buckle with the speaker. The speaker buckle is glue dead and I have no choice as the spare straps I ordered didn't come with the speaker so I ended up ripping off the speaker wire from the buckle. And then the frustration begin, no matter how I try to pry open the speaker buckle, it just won't come apart. I even tried blowing hotair into the buckle to heat it up to try to melt the glue, it still doesn't open. Damn Samsung for using a type of glue that just won't melt. Ultimately I poured lots of alcohol into the buckle plate gap and it finally came apart.
I need battery for this model
I got the exact same yellow replacement shell and also happened to make the exact same mistake of ripping the speaker wire, but it was an easy fix and thanks for suggesting that the speaker cover is glued shut!
Also, I suggest not letting the rubber gaskets touch any cleaning agents, as when mine touched alcohol, the rubber stretched for a while until the liquid completely dries.
I end up replacing my battery, as I have the pure luck of having 2 scrap charging cradles for Galaxy IconX and the battery just happen to be exactly the same as this one! Sure it's still old battery but it's much younger, and I replaced the battery and my battery life doubled.

I add the same also. I never understood how to open the "buckle" where there is the speaker. After unloading the four screw, I was never able to unlock it, and so did the RIP speaker also. Do you suggested that this part is scelled? And if so, how to open it though? I want to make the same fixe than you did inside.. but never able to unlock.. (and don't want to break it as I can't find it again online ^^)
any thoughts? Thanks in advance.
@@valentinsalmon533 The proper way to open it wouldve been applying lots of heat to the buckle and rip the top lid off and then slide the speaker out. You will then need to desolder and resolder. This is more elegant than ripping the cable and then jump wire over to reconnect
@@kztech1319 I am so sorry, I think it's because of my level of english, but I still don't really understand. I think you tried to explain to me how it would have been better to do it. But Now that it is ripped, I still can't open the part where the speaker is located, even after unscrewing the four screw. The way he do it at 7:13. Did he do it with some alcohol or dissolvant because it is scelled?

@@valentinsalmon533 At that part he needs heat to soften the adhesive and then slowly rip the cover off by carefully yanking on the hinge part. Heat to just about too hot to touch to soften the adhesive without melting the speaker

It's a easy fix you just need proper tools a screwdriver and a double tape is enough
