Depends on the game, for Warzone nothing beats the Tygr 300R imaging wise. But for Apex or Fortnite that have more vertical gameplay, HD560S is better. I just dislike the harsher highs/treble of the HD560S, I protect my hearing. Haven't tried the SHP 9500.
I'd really hesitate to use Philips headphones for fps gaming. They flavor the sound quite a bit. You either like the philips sound or you don't. I've got akg 702's. No bass. Big soundstage. Clean highs. And they suck the joy out of everything. Not even lying. Missing an entire layer of sound on the low end is strangely traumatic. And not enjoyable. The Tygr's do everything well. Gaming, music, movies, all that. They are also built better than the gamer style headset 38x. Tygr is the correct answer.
@@doublecrossedswine112 I do mobile gaming. And TYGR doesn't support mic and because it also does not have detachable cable so won't be able to use mic like V-moda boom pro. But yes TYGR is a good option btw. Thanks ☺️
My microphone doesn't sound like this at all. It is extremely quiet even when I go into properties to set the volume to 100. Did you have to boost the mic? That was the only way to hear mine.
I love the headset, but as headphones they are decent so is a really nice all rounder, so good that I put them on the same side as k712 pro an tygr300r, and since is a headset I just drop a qudelix 5k and finish (or aptx adaptive on phone) while something like the k712 does demand a good amp and the 96db/mw sensitivity of the tygrs puts them on a delicate place.
Thanks for the awesome review. I know it's a completely different price but how does this compare to the dt1990 gaming wise. Is the imaging and positioning as good as the 1990?
For some reason that escapes, me, these headphones have been out of stock on Amazon, in Europe, for months now. And these are German cans, like, even on Germany's Amazon site they're out of stock, so what's up with that? I like your review, as you tried to be as objective as possible.
Just got these and theyre my first open back headset and I'm not a fan. While they sound pretty good they just dont have a full enough sound and not enough base. I defintely prefer immersive sound over all else, so these are a no go for me. I prefer my hyper x headset by far and that's even bluetooth, while these are wired, so youd think they'd be superior.
Switching to an open back after using closed backs for a long time will do that to you since you're used to hearing the sound of the closed back. You need time to get used to the open back as well. Try the PC38X for a week or two. If you still don't like it, then I guess it's just not your preferred type of headphone
The PC 37X offers up less sub base, even rolling it off earlier, more base. It has a dip in the mid range, and is identical in the highs - and that's with the default pads.
That HD58X set up is about more than double of that of the PC38X. If you're going that route, you might as well skip the HD58x and go for the HD560S for significantly superior imaging
Try bending the top, you might be surprised how durable Sennheiser plastic headbands really are. You can do that to reduce clamp as well. Also, how can the 560 S be too much in Bass Mids AND Trebel? That's just too loud of volume... . . . Maybe you meant that the 560 S has too much Dynamic range, so the louds are too punchy/harsh? The PC38X is a bit more compressed than the 560 S.
So glad you're putting up reviews again. I was starting to worry!
Honestly one of my favourite channels.
That’s the most detailed review I have ever seen so far. Great work man! I was looking for a deeper look on that pad difference for a LONG while xD
thank you for the kind words and for checking out the channel.
Thank you for the mic test.... Most reviews dont include it. So i will give u a like for that!
The best video on this, well done 👍
I really appreciate the objective analysis that most other reviewers tend not to do. Good stuff.
Thank you so much for the kind words. I appreciate you checking out the content.
Man!! i miss you I've been waiting for this cans to be reviewed by you!! Thank you again man! more power and keep safe!
Good to see you back!
Best review that I've seen so far, thanks a lot!
Good to see You are back at it... I'm waiting for Tarkov headphone video ;)
Please review the DT 900 Pro X
How are these compared to the Beyerdynamic Dt770 pro 32 ohms? Which sound better? Which are bettee for gaming?
Very underrated channel
Interesting to know that these have an angled driver because that is what I felt always made the Audio Technica AD700 such a great gaming headphone.
so i havent been using the y cable it came with, would that be better to plug into my soundblaster x3.
Can anyone help to choose which one is better for gaming (footsteps), I am confused among TYGR 300 R, PC38x, SHP 9500?
The one with the less bass...so shp9500
@@pc_decisions8764 It's not as simple as "least bass"... not to mention if you want to lower the bass, you can just EQ that.

Love mine but be aware, the volume knob is prone to failure

According to DMS the pc38x has as good imaging as the HD800. How would you compare the imaging of the pc38x to the dt 1990?
You should try the HD700 for gaming

Bought these and loved the sound but the mic came defective
Is it better than the Sennheiser GSP 600?
What is the best of the best for gaming wallhack performans?
Thanks for the awesome review. I know it's a completely different price but how does this compare to the dt1990 gaming wise. Is the imaging and positioning as good as the 1990?
Let say that 1990 is like tygrs but brighter, so is really on the fight
Hi i already have pc38x . İts good but if i want better for competitive headphone which one is far better? i dont want paid alot for small diffences.

Harmonicdyne zeus! many tells its a gamechanger

Someone in another video also mentioned this but he said that they had some “break in “ period which sounds weird

Please im professional fps gamer and i want the better imaging headphone?
Thanks
kinda hilarious how PC38x is more accurate than a studio headphone dt 880 lmao
I was far from impressed with the 37x i got from Drop. I wonder how much of a difference the 38x and the 37x are.
Great review!

Sennheiser HD58x + Mod Mic Microphone + SchiiT Hel vs Sennheiser Pc38x what is better for gaming ......
sennheiser 560s
That HD58X set up is about more than double of that of the PC38X.
If you're going that route, you might as well skip the HD58x and go for the HD560S for significantly superior imaging
You should test the Astro a40s and a50s to compare, they're probably 2 of the most common headsets for Ganers.
Try bending the top, you might be surprised how durable Sennheiser plastic headbands really are. You can do that to reduce clamp as well.

there's a big annoying hiss on the background of your voice, hope to see better voice quality in your upcoming videos! Great reviews so far!
gaming yes, but music its horrible.
