I wasn't aware of that he did buy this car from a used dealer I don't know what number owner he is I will have to ask him but thanks for the information
It went away a little bit after that I took it on a test drive didn’t hear anymore, but the next time I work on it, I’m a hook it up to my scanner and see what comes up
Also I noticed on the start up it said you didn’t have oil pressure still is this because it’s a newly installed switch? I installed mine and started it briefly to see if it was fixed and it was still reading 0 oil pressure on start up so I shut it off immediately to stop any damage from occurring.
@@gabrielferrar6996 That's a smart way to think a lot of people always think the worst and most expensive problem first and then when it's not that they panic
@@h.a.bgarage1008haha ik wym but should it take a couple of minutes for the oil pressure to show on the gauge or something? Like I said he showed the oil pressure was at 0 and said “let me wait for it to get warm” obviously it shouldn’t have 0 oil pressure just because it’s cold so does it not read right away because it’s a new switch?
Anyone that had the same questions as me the only smart thing to do is put a mechanical gauge in the oil pressure switches place and see if it has any pressure. you could probably do this by cranking your engine with the ignition and fuel injector fuse pulled out if you’re worried about starting the engine and causing damage
Before I put the sensor in with showing it didn't have oil pressure switch off the computer that it didn't the sensor doesn't control the oil pressure it just controls the fact that the computer knows it has oil pressure so on the dash in the car the oil pressure was shown as very low
Nice we got more videos on this oil pressure sensor thanks bro.
Thank you 🙏🏿
@@h.a.bgarage1008 no prob how much you charge for a starter job.
Immensely helpful video. They wanted to charge me and my wife 400 bucks for this. Doesn’t look like a 400 dollar job tbh.
They charge you that much because they take everything off around it and then they get to the part
And thanks for watching🙏🏿🙏🏿
Beware guys the ls3 does not come stock with the filter I sat there for 30 minutes trying to get a filter out that was never there! Great video tho

Bro same I’m in the middle of this and I couldn’t find a filter lol
Correct. It’s only the model with an automatic transmission that comes with that little filter.
No it comes stick with a filter

Figured my whole pump was out, it wasn’t throwing any codes about oil pressure or the pump being bad so I figured I would try the sensor first

Does this sensor show the current pressure? I don't really trust it

Like the needle was barely responding that the car has oil pressure it was very lamp
Is this a v6 or v8 2010 ?
@@chadbair9265 thanks for watching the video and commenting but to answer your question it is a V8 2010 Chevy Camaro
How did you get the old filter out
Are used a are used a Phillips head screwdriver and stuck it in there and the filter came up

It funny he never show the socket he used
You are correct I did not show that but you can use a 27mm deep well socket that should work
