Is it just me, or does anyone else appreciate the awesome upholstery from this era? Just seems so much more plush and higher quality. There’s no way upholstery in modern vehicles will ever last 20+ years and still look this good!

It is the truth. Been detailing for years and it used to be that the newer the car the cleaner it would be. But now, the newer the car the shittier the carpet is, the longer it takes. Like the soft side of Velcro now a days

Man from the start of the video this was already one of the nicest trucks from this era I've ever seen. Usually the driver door is hanging crooked and won't close and there's at least rust where splash guards would be. This one is in great condition!

This GMC Sierra is a darn good truck. This older example that was kept unwashed in storage took a lot of work to clean and restore to its original look and luster. I’m in pain, grumpy, and life altered for two weeks. And I’m thankful! I know a lot of ppl who did work like you when young and paying for it now. Yoga, Pilates, Chiro, simple stretches before and after detailing, and mindful while you detail goes a very long way! Take care and thanks to what you do!

One thing I love to do after I'm done shampooing/extracting is apply a couple very generous coats of Scotchgard (after everything has dried). Then future spills tend to be much easier for the owner to clean up themselves as they don't really soak in very well.

It is a rarity. I have a 96 gmc Sierra 1500 with 243xxx on the clock. I have light gray seats, and not a thin spot anywhere. They still have a ton of support in the foam as well.

I had a 1984 GMC Jimmy with vinyl seats and vinyl floors. You couldn't get it dirty if you tried! I used to use a garden hose and a shop vac. Yep, trucks aren't trucks without vinyl! LOL

I really dig seig older cars get detailed like this. The minivans, the family cars, etc. are all fine and good, and provide a good shock factor with a before and after. But older vehicles like this almost allow you to travel in time. I would really love to see older cars like this get done more often. Great job as always man 👍

Yes I know what you mean. I'm still waiting for a detailer to do a double plush, buttoned velour interior from an 80s American car. Preferably red.

Take a shot every time he calls this truck a car
... I didn’t mean it in a hateful or degrading way, I was just making a joke about how he was calling it a car. Call it whatever you want, I really don’t care
