In my local home town in East Tennessee I recently learnt of a secret underground passage reportedly built for escape in civil war, since it led from a mansion(still standing) to the river bank. Therefore if the Union army came they could escape to river to row away. The thing is the walls of the passage are huge rectangular stones. Is there a way to gain information on if this was a possibility in that time period. Of course I am trying to disprove the current narrative whenever I can.

Phenomenal Brien. I am continously blown away by obvious examples like this that show megalithic connections with Lebanon, Turkey and Egypt. The fact that Travertine blocks were found inside the Temple of Karnak, and Aswan pink granite was found in Lebanon, proves that these ancient cultures were once connected deep in antiquity.

You do realize that Biblos is a seaport and not some inland trading station. Since Aswan is right on the Nile, the Romans could've easily just loaded the blocks onto boats, sailed them up the Nile and next to Lebanon, and dragged them a few hundred meters to their current day position using earth ramps and sleds. Ancient ships were easily capable of loading up to 30 tons of material so its very possible that they would've been able to move such large stone blocks using ships.

Byblos and egypt were big trade partners from the begining of byblos creation. Almost an egyptian extension then over time byblos the city and its people developes its own totally unique culture. Egyptians loves the great cedar wood that is found in lebanon. Whats amazing is that the ancient lebanese or canaanite or phoenicians seemed to have the same megalithic tradecraft as the egyptians. They built the temple mount and solomons temple as well.

@Brien Foerster. At time 6:30 in this video and along that same wall the secret is revealed. (I believe). You can see on the huge blocks where the plaster/stucco has fallen of the face letting us take a look inside the blocks revealing all the filler gravel they used to make them. You can see rough gravel but i think the dead giveaway here is the plethera of smooth rounded river rocks. Not that you cant cut a block from an old dried up river, but that would probably be a weak stone and highly unlikely. I have done a lot of construction so i like to look at ancient structures with a forensic point of view. So in my humble opinion im about 100% sure those are concrete blocks and not cut stone.
With all that said, im only going off what i could see in the video. I have never been there, wich is why i greatly appreciate your time and dedication in helping us solve these mysteries. You show us things we will probably never get to see and the mainstream will DEFINITELY NEVER show us.
    Thank You

Very interesting and quite right - most structures in Lebanon are usually attributed to the Romans, especially Baalbek! In the case of Byblos, it is beyond doubt that the Egyptians ruled the area possibly from as early as 1500 BCE - in fact, their area of control probably extended to about 30 miles north of Byblos. Around 1274 BCE they faced the Hittites at the battle of Kadesh, just 30 miles or so to the north east, so they must have known the area well.

Nice work. Any idea how thick those walls are and therefore how long each column/pillar section is? The presumption is they were columns that were somehow sawed into sections and built into the wall. It appears there are dozens or hundreds of these. They really are not that ornate, so I doubt that is the purpose. It would be much easier not to integrate them at all since they had to carve the blocks convex around them. I can't imagine that adds much strength to the wall?

The oldest reference to Byblos that I know of is the writings of Thutmose III who docked his navy in Byblos around 1450 - 30 BC. He was on his way with his army to attack the Mitanni who lived in central Syria. Aleppo was a Mitanni city in those days so maybe he went there.

the greeks where totally able to produce large pillars. You might believe they weren't cuz you saw the greek pillars consisting of many smaller pieces. That is because they obviously had to transfer them from very far. If the quarry was near what they were building they did not have to make smaller pieces.

What is the Greek building with large single piece granite pillars ? It isn't the Parthenon that's for sure.

    • @stephenphillips4984

Pompey's Pillar is made in one piece of granite and is 33.85 m tall and 2.7-2.8 m wide. It is the only column in Roman Egypt (Alexandria, about 298 AD) that was not composed of drums. It is proof that the Romans were, indeed, capable of carving tall pillars and columns from one piece of granite, although they rarely did so. Brien's generalisation is right in practice but wrong in principle. His belief that huge, single piece columns are always megalithic and could neverhave been made by Romans or ancient Greeks is just not true. Pompey's Pillar is such a counter-example.

@@stephenphillips4984 It should not be my job to sound like your teacher but you leave me no choice. You would benefit greatly from pausing occasionally, such as now, to do a little homework. You are suggesting that the Romans only built one single piece granite column in the entire Roman empire and didn't put it in Rome. Hardly. For starters there is Trajan's column in Rome which was built in marble from 20 pieces.
The truth is that Pompey's pillar was not built by the Romans and pretty much every history book says so. The general consensus is that it was built by Ptolemy III in around 230 BC as part of a temple known as the Serapeum but even that theory can be questioned. The Greeks did not build large single piece granite columns anywhere in Greece yet here is this one way over in Alexandria. How odd. The remains of the Serapeum of Alexandria are located right beside Pompey's column and contain numerous examples of Egyptian sphinxes, sculpture and hieroglphs suggesting that the site had once been an older Egyptian structure from the Middle Kingdom period which is from 2000 BC to perhaps 1600 BC although that date is argued. There is included on one of the statues the cartouche of Horemheb which dates it to around 1300 BC. Many of the statues were carved from diorite which is extremely hard making them difficult to both carve and polish to such a high standard. If either the Romans or the Greeks were capable of carving and polishing such high quality life like diorite statues why do we not see them all over the place ? The few known Greek statues made in diorite are of much lower quality than their Egyptian counterparts. It was for good reason that both the Greeks and the Romans preferred to work with marble.
Neither the Romans nor the Greeks possessed the technology to build Pompey's column which is older than both Ptolemy and Diocletian by at least 1500 years and perhaps more. The column is another example of the architectural recycling that Brien has been telling us about for years.

The Romans were great builders, no question about that. It is said they created the 'first skyscrapers' with 4 story buildings. Of all the ancient mysteries handed down by our ancestors, the megalithic monuments remain the most puzzling, especially given their exact dates and methods of construction remain unknown. Also unknown are the builders of these immensely spectacular stone structures.
Mainstream academia pretty much glosses over these megaliths that can be found all over the world, assigning their creation to the will of the people or slaves being forced to haul gargantuan stones weighing tons upon tons. Lost or buried in the mainstream arguments explaining these megaliths are the native or local histories that attribute their construction to a race of giants from a forgotten era.
The folklore of ancient Europe is full of tales starring giants who build massive stone monoliths and battle their way toward the Irish shores. The mysterious lands of Russia have also been slowly revealing their hidden ancient giant history with newly discovered megalithic structures being unearthed at a quickening pace. It seems there is an ancient mythological connection between ancient giants and the pre-historic megalithic monuments that stand thousands of years later as immense icons of a lost civilization.
From the Holy Lands and across the oceans to the lands of the Native Americans, all of humankind's earliest written and oral accounts speak of an advanced race of beings, commonly referred to as "giants". Mainstream academia teaches that giants, cyclops and other cryptozoological beings are nothing more than myths and the bones that ancient humans believed to be giant bones were misconstrued, being nothing more than prehistoric animal bones. -
That is the official (and end of) story for the establishment when the topic of ancient giants is discussed. But there is much more to this story, perhaps a bit too much more than many in high academic positions are prepared to admit (especially when doing so could jeopardize their livelihoods).

The reason for the end times biblical Prophecy is that there is an ancient planet alignment that is cyclical in nature.
The Ancient Indians East and West and Egyptians and other ancient cultures recorded this alignment using Astrology Charts, Hieroglyphics, Picture-charts and stone carving which contain symbols to understand it meanings!!!
If you were an ancient astrologist you could keep track of this cycle.
Like Nostradamus did. You see Nostradamus had access to ancient astrological charts that kept track of this alignments and many others that is how he was able to make such accurate predictions.
The book of Revelations is a recording of what happen to Earth during one of these cycles.
You see what happens during this cycle is that this planet alignment creates an Electromagnetic grid in the shape of a Two giant squares, Referred to as the Red and Blue Kachinas, so when the Moon and Earth travel thru this grid it slows down the spin of the earth.
After half way thru the grid it speeds back up and possibility faster then average, this also causes the Moon and earth to continue to wobble, in the past during this cycle the earth and moon would wobble closer to the asteroid belt and the earth and moon would get hit with asteroids.
When this alignment occurs it takes about 14 years from end to beginning. December 21 2020 was Peak or Middle of this cycle which meant were half way thru that cycle.
In this wobble cycle I have found that the Moon started to wobble in 2010 so for me this cycle should last about 20 years.
There is a very good video by Praveen Mohan called "108 the key to life" I think that is the name of the video if you don't understand the relationship between Earth and the Moon and how when the Moon moves away from the earth like getting hit by an Asteroid or comet it creates a wobble and the side effects of the wobble is flooding along the equator of the Earth, as the Moon gets closer to the Earth it causes Earthquakes and Tsunami !!!
What I find most fascinating is my research has led me to believe that the ancients create megalithic stone structures around the earths equator to counterbalance this wobble during this cycle so we have less of a chance of getting hit by Asteroids-meteors.
The Pyramids and other stone structures create a refuge during this cycle.
I would say that this ancient planet alignment that is cyclical in nature is the major cause for mega stone structures around the world.
This is the ancient history of the Sea People Worldwide that came together in ancient times to help save the Planet from this cycle!
Here is a Link to a Ted Talk of a wonderful video about Mega structures along Earths Equator viewed from the space station.
The Unusual Earth Orbit Circling Above Our Ancient Past ua-cam.com/video/_HytJn6uaRk/v-deo.html
After I watched this video I could see how what I described above makes sense to me.
