BATROUN, LEBANON - Batroun is a coastal city in Lebanon with ancient history and a vibrant culture - it’s known throughout Lebanon for its nightlife and energy. Today was a mixed day, we started by driving into the mountains to visit an amazing winery. From there, we headed back into the city to eat some local seafood sandwiches, and finally finished with Lebanese seafood at Colonel Brewery and Seafood Restaurant.
Sept Winery (goo.gl/maps/oonfdB6ns5GMUaJ3A) - An amazing local small batch wine produced in Batroun, Lebanon. The wine was fantastic as was the ambiance and food.
Georges Maalouf Kitchen (goo.gl/maps/jpAPmqfxAceDpqXf6) - Next we drove back to Batroun city and stopped for some Lebanese seafood sandwiches. The octopus and sardines were delicious.
Colonel Brewery and Seafood Restaurant (goo.gl/maps/7RHik1NSRNFBAF3x8) - An institution in Batroun, Colonel Brewery produces craft beer and also a variety of distilled spirits. They also have a seafood restaurant on the sea, and we actually had a table in the Mediterranean Sea (literally)! One of the unique fish we ate was lionfish, which is not native to the Meditteranean, but is an invasive species.
Accommodation in Batroun: Also, during our time in Batroun, we stayed at Villa Paradiso Batroun (goo.gl/maps/R451BhQJPVMj9b5f9), highly recommended. Fantastic boutique accommodation, staff, and breakfast.

Mark you are truly an ambassador of peace and brotherhood! This Lebanon series is so special because it is a rare view of the beauty, joy and immense hospitality of Lebanese culture, which is the opposite of the negative, hostile view of the Middle East that we see daily on the news in the U.S.A.
Im moroccan, I am 41yrs, I grew up in the mid 80's and 90's with my best friend Aouf Mohcine, he is Lebanese, his whole family was living in the same building in Casablanca, from grand parents to youngest kids.......we knew each other, lived together, ate together, studied together, grew old together, laughed and cried together for 15 years.....they were my second family for me....happy, generous, classy, well educated, sensitive people....these days were the happiest days of my life!!!!!! God bless this family....I think that is the best series that Mark ever did in my opinion....goose bumps....and wet eyes....thx Mark!!!

@@countvond233 Italian cuisine is up there, Chinese cuisine has many culinary techniques in their cooking so there's heaps of different flavours then of course turkish cuisine too but I don't know if Lebanese people are good with turkey 😂
