Hey Jacob that right down my alley side scan 👍! I’ve got a hummingbird solix 12 g3, I thought this was the greatest thing I’ve ever had when it came out, I can find fish and than just cast at them, don’t need FFS. You taught me a lot, I’m still trying to identify the species. Just going to take practice. Great stuff, I’m still learning watching how the bass are reacting to your baits , just don’t like fishing with it. I took my son on a guide crappie trip with FFS , neither one of use liked it. I couldn’t tell I had a bite, the guide had to tell me you got one, I said I couldn’t tell I had a bit! LMAO! So we went and both bought a hummingbird 12. We love them! Keep it coming! Thx for sharing your knowledge! You are DA man! 👍🥸🙏
Great video. Really appreciate you taking the time to lay these out. I think your the first one to ever show what a ledge looks like on imaging, that I've seen.
So I looked up the sea clear power cables for the unit .. I found some around 400 bucks lol .. do you happen to know if it's possible to get them at a cheaper price somewhere ? I probably won't get them for awhile .. I still have a lot to learn first but I did notice that there is some lag .. and I also need to learn how to adjust the touch screen sensitivity, .. it seems like I have a lot of lag while using the touch screen ... idk. Lots to learn.
Kudos to you for deciding to leave the bridge alone when a guy was fishing it... instead of making an annoying video of argueing with another fellow angler like every other youtuber seems to do lol
@@pgm1970 they are underneath the mount you can see them when you look straight on. Boatlogix has gage relocation spots for when you install the mount.
What if you're in 100 feet of water for lake trout? At 100 feet or 120 feet you only see the water column and no structure.... do you adjust then to let's say 160-200?? Thanks!
Great video but when you do a video on certain "views" then have it only in the screen. The others are not needed for the video and it's hard to look through the steering wheel. Again great video, Mike
good morning, I would like to know if the sidescan scan takes place clearly even at a depth that goes beyond 30 meters, for example 60 meters, I await news thanks

Thank you I appreciate you watching! I'm happy to share!
Thanks Jacob. That cleared up a lot on how the screens work, and exactly how to tell the bottom differences. Nice job.
Not a problem at all! If you have any other questions feel free to ask away! 👍😁
Awesome video! Those Lowrance units are crazy!
Thanks guys! They are such an amazing tool!
Great stuff, Jacob. Thanks for sharing. I’ve been trying to spend more time learning to use sidescan to locate fish.

Just got a hds live unit .. and I'm a newbie to fish finders in general so this video helps a lot. Thanks for posting this video.

Thanks for your help.
Not a problem 👍
Jacob who installed your electronics and where are they located please. Great instruction. ty
I had the guys at Sea Clear Power do it! They are located near Pickwick
What mapping was that?Ive got the new 12” carbons with navionics

Nice video. What bracket are you using and can it be swung to different positions? I like how it’s right in front of you
I use a Boatlogix mount. It can't be swung but you can adjust the angle of it

I've never used it for scanning the bottom that deep but I don't see why it wouldn't work.
What map are you using?
@@Rubo7 navionics
@@jacobwallfishing is there different navionics maps? Yours is more detailed?
Sidescan = Range - Depth So If the range Is 100 and the depth Is 10 then you are looking 90 ft. Left or Right.
Exactly 👍🏼
Wanted side Imaging, better if you cover one topic at a time
