Not actually Y (that is for using your tool). But, either way, I usually send over a bunch of tools at a time and find just opening the notebook faster than doing it one by one. :)

Are you in seedling mode? The medals dont sell for those prices in normal mode. Also you do have a journal for saving while in the tent, its amongst the books on the left side of the tent. It's also not a good idea to put all the makes together, 1st it creates lag, 2nd if all your makers are in one spot on your farm, your going to be doing ALOT of running back and forth. It's better to put similar makers together but in various places on the farm (lumber in really wooded areas, ingot makers by the mines, animal product makes by the barns, ect.)
I was told, yes. Seedling and Normal have different prices for the medals, but the point still stands that they are a good source of extra money early on. I mentioned putting the makers together as grouping them together based on what their produce ends up being as it saves much more time than just placing them however. When you start customizing your farm, you wouldn't place the wood makers in the forested areas since you will end up losing them and changing them for orchards and since the good resource points are actually unlocked OUTSIDE of the farm and you respawn from returning from those places closer to your house than you do the other parts of the farm. So, the placement was made with that in mind as well.

That's actually false. There are only 3 color indicators (which is something you can check in the notebook in your house/tent): Red, Blue, and White. There is no green or yellow fish.
@@IAmVianca You are right, there are only 3 colors of fish, but bar also changes due to the fish or whatever but when the bar is yellow the fish is still white. Idk if its glitch but I do have a picture to show you what I mean
I cant figure out how to decorate in my log cabin/home, theres only one area highlighted and no buttons i push move that around to place or move items. Is this a glitch? Do i need to unlock something else?
I'm enjoying the game but they barely explain the bare minimum. I let my livestock out on sunny days but they still seem to eat fodder if it's available. What's the point of the silo? To store fodder but not auto feed? Chickens don't lay eggs if eggs aren't collected daily or are they just overwritten?
Well, the thing with this title is that it's not like Friends of Mineral Town with how the fodder works. The animals will eat the fodder if you have them placed, from what I can tell. That's why I only put fodder in if the weather is bad.The silos need to have the Auto-feeder installed in barns and coops to auto-feed. As for the chickens, the eggs get overwritten if you don't collect them daily.
Do you have to get the breading kit to open up the other 5 locked slots in the Big Barn? cuz I can't find a straight answer on how to get all 10 slots open ...
Breeding requires you to have a high level in the livestock (forgot the actual name) skill as well but you should be able to use the other slots for purchased livestock just make sure you're really putting them in the upgraded facilities.
Thanks for going through all these tips! I'm still totally confused as to the different colors of stamina! I see a pale orange and a pInk I'm just lost
I have to go and eat all the foods first before I can answer that question for you, haha. That's one of the things I haven't been doing in my playthroughs.
Wonderful starter guide~! I just picked up the game and am enjoying it so far. I think Trio of towns is still my favorite, but it's nice to have a console one that is similar!
Glad you think so. Trio of Towns was fun (and challenging when it comes to balancing your time). The marriage candidates there are interesting, though.
@@IAmVianca Thanks for replying! Yeah I agree with you, I miss having Three unique towns and I miss all the events for sure. I do notice that the gifting dialogue isn't varied well in Pioneers so far.. but I like the music and I find the characters nice still! What are your feelings about dialogue and characters in Pioneers? I didn't play very long so far.
I share the same sentiment as you. PoOT leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to dialogue. It's, sadly, so limited and repetitve to the point where even festivals end up being a chore and bland. I think they've updated some of the dialogue, though, and added a bit more to them, but (from the perspective of someone who has dabbled in game development) I think they could have added more variety and changed dialogues up depending on how many years you've played.
@@IAmVianca Nice answer! So you dabbled in game development, is it possible you have ever thought about making a harvest moon inspired game? I have been developing some elements for my own game someday, so that's why I'm curious. I actually did a few dev interviews on my channel in the past and would love to talk to you more about this if it's something you are interested in. :)
I have planned on working on a game like that. I actually had the story all penned out and some elements planned out, but the thought of having to do all the sprites and graphics had me putting it on hold, considering I'm also working on a JRPG that's inspired by PS1 JRPG titles.
So there is no farmland map in this game? I tried to find everywhere but nobody mentioned it. I really want to know which seed I planted on the map like in FoMT.
You just place the next fence perpendicularly from your other fences. It's how you place fences in Animal Crossing as well, if you've played that game. Or Stardew Valley.
Do you know how to make coffee on story of seasons pioneers of olive town? It's not showing up as a recipe even though I already have the coffee beans.
@@Usagimoon75823 Yes, if I remember correctly it's either you need to drink the item to unlock it (via one of the two restaurants) or you have to level up your cooking skill. I have to go back and check but, at the moment, I don't have my copy with me.
If you haven't finished the Town Quests, I suggest you keep 1 High Quality Wool (Wool+). If I remember correctly, it is needed for the last one. I usually just sell them as is, since the quality doesn't really matter in once you used the makers for them. If it's the golden crops, I sell one then use what I need to make more seeds out of them (since they give more than the normal crops). If you want to cook high quality meals, then keep some on your refrigerator as well.
@@IAmVianca Yay thank you! I just downloaded the game 2 nights ago and I'm so hooked! I love the game but the only thing I noticed is that the game's time runs super fast haha Also, do you advice to purchase the DLC? ☺
Yeah, I think it's one of the fastest clocks in a SoS game. You really have to plan your days in advance, lol. If you want more marriage candidates and some story content (along with, from my understanding, new places to unlock and costumes to wear), then it is a good purchase with the on-going sale. But if you think you're fine with the marriage candidates in the game already , then it doesn't really take away much from the game if you don't get the Expansion Pass.
I just got my copy so I haven't gotten past day one. Since we don't get the water bucket right away should i wait until rain is in the forcast to plant any seeds??
@@sethhobson3025 Oh sweet thank you! I confused the two. I haven't watched alot of gameplay on this. Not like i did friends of mineral town lol so I'll have to watch some videos. And play more!! Thank you for the help!!
I have a question about the game. I bought a rug for my home and placed the dropped item in my log cabin home and the next day it disappeared. What happened to it?
Did you press Y to decorate on the highlighted areas inside your house, or did you actually just drop the item? Dropped items, and the items you don't pick up because you have too much in your inventory, does disappear in the game the next day as part of the game's mechanics.
Hi i bought poot physical game it doesn’t included expansion pass Now i want epass and im planning to buy it at eshop is it ok my game is physical and my epass is digital? TIA
@@wisconsinbound2123 Like, exit the game? Once you've saved, you can just press the + button on your controller and select Exit to Title. If Exit the game completely, then just hit the home button on your console and just close the game there.
I so hate the makers 😒 they take too much space cause you need such a huge amount of them, look ugly and that "one item - restart" system is nothing but annoying
It's not as bad as Portia's though. But I do agree with the whole one-item only processing. They could have done much better if they allowed us to process, at least, a maximum of nine items per maker and just adjust the time it takes to complete the process by the number of items being processed.
I love love love the game so far but the makers are kind of annoying. I don't want to run back to them every six minutes to reset or have a bunch of the same kind overrunning my farm. It doesn't feel like a farm but a production factory.. If I can make 10 ingots then let me make 10 and have it take however long to pick them all up. Instead of running back for 1 ingot each time. They need an update for that but everything else I love. I actually had to Google where my darn tools where?! Lmao I felt so dumb that I didn't realize it was a separate tool bag.
number 19 you are wasting time that way you might save a small amount of money but just put 10 fodder in it they will only eat 1 a day still and that way you dont have to waste time putting fodder in it each day.
@@IAmVianca ok was just saying it saves time but i did notice something else I just went to bed at 1030pm in the game and I did not wake up with full stamina I was missing one heart of stamina when I woke up. So I am guessing it has to do with time you go to bed and how much stamina you used that day.
Yes, you have to go to bed before 10 if you want to refill all your stamina. Same goes if you have a full stamina but you choose to stay up past 2AM, you'll still wake up with a depleted stamina bar (something I tackled in the fishing video).
@@IAmVianca oh i was not fully paying attention sorry looked at your video again i saw the 10-11 and did not notice the before 10pm before it sorry about that.
As of the moment, yes. Who knows somewhere down the line? They might release it on the Playstation or Steam like they did with More Friends of Mineral Town.
Well, if you have a PC or a laptop, then you can just download Steam, then purchase the game from there since the PC versions are always cheaper than their console counterparts...
I wanted to make it through to the end of the video, I really did. However, all the shouting WITH. A. SLIGHT. PAUSE. BETWEEN. EVERY. WORD. is just too much for me. Really helpful info though.
It's not, really. You just play at your own pace. These tips are just here to help guide you. You can listen to it or not, and just play the way you want to play. :)
I think what you gave are not tips and tricks, it’s actually more like a walkthrough. Most of the stuff you said are under obvious gameplay. An example of a tip/trick is using the touchscreen when arranging items, because you wouldn’t know about it unless someone told you.
I beg to differ considering how well-received this video is. Most of the people who watched didn't know about these either and it proved helpful to them. And that is the whole point of these videos, to provide info and help.
@@IAmVianca my point was, you are not giving tips and tricks in this video, but providing a walkthrough of the game. That doesn’t negate it being a good video and helpful to others. It only means your content is misleading- for example, I was looking for actual tips and tricks, that’s why I clicked on your video, but found it gives a walkthrough, which wasn’t what I was looking for. So you should just be careful about your titles being consistent with its content. For me “20 Activities You Should Do Everyday” or “Olive Town Walkthrough” should be the title of this video or something along those lines. Anyway, good video nonetheless!
I think people tend to forget that...as well as the fact that SDV was inspired by the old school Harvest Moon games of which SoS games are the direct successor of after the Natsumi Split.

I'm glad you think so. Thanks for watching! :)
OH YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LOL, I don't know why but your comment made me think of Austin Powers. Hahaha, thanks for that!
Thanks for going through all these tips! I'm still totally confused as to the different colors of stamina! I see a pale orange and a pInk I'm just lost
Which colors of stamina? Are we talking about your character's stamina?
@@IAmVianca yes! My character’s stamina I noticed turns orange/coral with certain foods or at least the color changes
Oh, those are buffs. Certain food give certain buffs (like extra stamina, slowing how the stamina drains, etc,...).
@@IAmVianca oh really?! I wonder how you could tell which buff you get
I have to go and eat all the foods first before I can answer that question for you, haha.
I don't think there is, unless it is hidden behind another town upgrade that I haven't unlocked just yet.
Ok this might be a stupid question but how do you turn your fences? To make a square. All I can do is make a straight line with them :(
You just place the next fence perpendicularly from your other fences. It's how you place fences in Animal Crossing as well, if you've played that game. Or Stardew Valley.
Love this and learned a lot! Tysm!! 💜💙💜
Glad to hear it! :)
Great video! Very helpful:)
Glad it was! :)
Do you know how to make coffee on story of seasons pioneers of olive town? It's not showing up as a recipe even though I already have the coffee beans.
Do you already have the Powder Maker unlocked and built in your farm? You need to process the beans there to get coffee.
@@IAmVianca yeah I made the powder maker but the recipe still didn't show up maybe it has something to do with the level I'm at on cooking?
@@Usagimoon75823 Yes, if I remember correctly it's either you need to drink the item to unlock it (via one of the two restaurants) or you have to level up your cooking skill. I have to go back and check but, at the moment, I don't have my copy with me.
@@IAmVianca ok awesome thank you!
I like your voice, first time I watch your vids
Thank you :)
awesome tips ^__^
Thank you for the tips! So clear 😃 l like it!
You're so welcome! :)
Ty!
Wrong prices there, unless you play easy mode, wich should not be the reference for pricing, other than that great video
What do you do with ultra quality produce? Do I hoard them or do I sell? 😅
I love the game but the only thing I noticed is that the game's time runs super fast haha
Also, do you advice to purchase the DLC?
I love your name it’s different and so pretty 😍
Ahaha, thank you! :)
I just got my copy so I haven't gotten past day one. Since we don't get the water bucket right away should i wait until rain is in the forcast to plant any seeds??
The mayor will give you a watering can and seeds around the same time. The bucket is only for clearing puddles
@@sethhobson3025 Oh sweet thank you! I confused the two. I haven't watched alot of gameplay on this. Not like i did friends of mineral town lol so I'll have to watch some videos. And play more!! Thank you for the help!!
Also, just to add: the Bucket is also used on those small horse-shoe shaped ponds you can find in Area 2 to uncover treasures.
@@IAmVianca Oooo sweet!! Thank you!!!
@@IAmVianca ohhhh yeah I dropped it thinking I can grab it later. Like in animal crossing. I didn't know. Thanks for telling me.
If you dropped it, you may be able to get it back if you head to the Earth Sprite Village, talk to the Boss Sprite, and select Lost and Found.
Can I play this on Switch with full touchscreen compatibility?
Not with 'full touchscreen compatibility', no. The touchscreen is limited in this title.
Hi i bought poot physical game it doesn’t included expansion pass Now i want epass and im planning to buy it at eshop is it ok my game is physical and my epass is digital? TIA
Yes. As long as it's the same region. Also, the Expansion Pass is currently on 15% discount up until April, so now is a good time to get it.
Good video thank you !
You're welcome! Glad you enjoyed it. :)
@@IAmVianca Quick question please. How do you exit the game when finished playing for the session or day?
@@wisconsinbound2123 Like, exit the game? Once you've saved, you can just press the + button on your controller and select Exit to Title. If Exit the game completely, then just hit the home button on your console and just close the game there.
@@IAmVianca Thank you. I have been doing later. Press home button then close game X option. Was not sure if there was different way
Can we change the face apparence of a avatar during game ?
Yes. But you have to finish a couple of Town Requests first to unlock the Salon.
@@IAmVianca Thanks you 🥰
I want to upgrade from a tent... but those rings wont buy themselves
Rings?
@@IAmVianca jewelry rings, for the affectionings
You don't really need them? There's a much more cheaper and easier way to increase villager affection than that.
how to get big crops?
You can get those by increasing your land and seed quality, which is a topic for another video.
@@IAmVianca thank you! 😍
I am deeply struggling on how to make mortar. Does anyone knows how to make a mortar 😩
@@IAmVianca agreed. I liked how the maker house was done in story of seasons. You could set a bunch of items and call it a day.
Lmao I felt so dumb that I didn't realize it was a separate tool bag.
yea when i found out the makers only make 1 at a time i was like oh this is going to annoy the crap out of me real quick
number 19 you are wasting time that way you might save a small amount of money but just put 10 fodder in it they will only eat 1 a day still and that way you dont have to waste time putting fodder in it each day.
Not really. You still have to tend to your animals, plus you need to raise their hearts (which letting them graze does faster).
Is this game only on Nintendo switch
As of the moment, yes. Who knows somewhere down the line? They might release it on the Playstation or Steam like they did with More Friends of Mineral Town.
I do own any of the of those stuff but this game want me too buy one😂😂😂😂😂
Well, if you have a PC or a laptop, then you can just download Steam, then purchase the game from there since the PC versions are always cheaper than their console counterparts...
For noob. How to save the game?🤣 Thank u.
You can save using the diary (large brown book) or by pressing the + button.
I wanted to make it through to the end of the video, I really did. However, all the shouting WITH. A. SLIGHT. PAUSE. BETWEEN. EVERY. WORD. is just too much for me.
Really helpful info though.
You must be playing seedling mode be my tokens sell for 100/500, I haven't gotten gold yet.
These seems…overwhelming 😢
Not even gonna tell us how to increase heart count
Because that is in the next video as it is a part of another topic as a whole.
Some of these are not tips lol taming animals and fixing the barn and coop is not a tip
Stardew Valley is better imo.
well you can't really compare these two games since both are aimed for a different age group
I think people tend to forget that...as well as the fact that SDV was inspired by the old school Harvest Moon games of which SoS games are the direct successor of after the Natsumi Split.
So why are you here? Lol
