Type A:normal(pressure and compliance) Type As: Otosclerosis or malleus fixation (normal pressure, non compliance) Type Ad: Ossicular discontinuity or lax/thin tympanic membrane (normal pressure, infinite compliance) Type B/flat curve/dome shaped curve: Fluid in middle ear/Otitis media with effusion Type C: Dysfunction of Eustachian tube(reduced pressure and normal compliance)
Hello sir, i have a question for you if you can help. I have a son whom is 3 years old. His doctor said us that show him to otolaryngologist. We went to see the doctor and he send us to take tympanometry test and then he started him to use antibiotics and some of medicines about allergy. And after 10 days of using antibiotics we went again for control and he said one ear even went worst and the other a little better. Thats the test results; Left Ear : Volume 0,46 Compliance 0,43 Pressure -256 Gradient 0,16 Right Ear :Volume 0,43 Compliance 0,63 Pressure -116 Gradient 0,29 The otolaryngologist said my son may have surgery about putting tube in the ear and we dont want that. What would you suggest and could you please look at the results and say your opinion. Thank you
It is really informative, but my question is regarding compliance and frequency, do we use 220hz frequency for all age groups if yes why and if not which all we use with specifications ? Is 6 cc normative for compliance ? I would like to get information regarding these aspects. Thanks

Very good sir awesome 👍
In type B compliance is low?? In book i found flatter compliance in no change in compliance but low pressure
what if we have first peak (-238 daPa), then another one (-180 daPa) and third one, more flatten?
Veryy gd video ...contains so much information thank you

good morning sir...
does fluid in the middle ear/ flat tympanogram cause hearing loss...? thanks
Yes. Fluid in middle ear causes conductive hearing loss.
@@learningent2571 mostly what degree of hearing loss is conductive sir...?? can it causes profound degree of loss... thanks
🙏🙏🙏👏👏👏👏👏
Average compliance is .6ml not 6 ml. Would u plz give reference?
I never heard 6cc being used as normative so surely an aspect to be addressed..
