And dont pretend you watch him week in week out either, you're probably judging him solely on this one clip where he makes a mistake. (That save is harder than it looks as well, it had some weird spin on it which made the goalie think it was goin the other way). And some people are saying he got a concussion earlier in the game, which justify his mistake.

It’s sad that meslier is actually a solid keeper and now because of that mistake his confidence has decreased massively and may not play as many games.I genuinely feel sorry for him
Who says his confidence has decreased? He looked very rational and I think he's committed to learn from that mistake and keep his concentration for the full game from now on. His performance has been excellent for 95 minutes. I'm sure an individual who plays at the second highest level possible is pretty used to deal with pressure... he'll recover, God willing.
Can’t say I’m not gutted. It’s a freak of a moment. Have to say, considering our injury woes and our thread-bare subs bench, we made current top of the league look very average on their home turf (besides the first ten mins they were electric), but we were very dominant, we completely controlled the game and once again we rue the missed chances we had, and there were a fair few. A disappointing end to what was arguably the best collective team performance I have seen from Leeds in a long time. If we keep playing in this way, we’ll be absolutely fine. Such bad luck though.
@sttrory not many he got a few last season that was mainly due to our defence if you look at his save percentage last season it was only 60% where as Leicester Ipswich southampton keepers all on 75% plus do you not remember the prem when our defence was abysmal and he faced alot of shot and we conceded the most goals in prem history 2 year on the bounce he's not good enough never has been
This is no excuse. If you feel like your're not 100% as a goalie, then communicate that to the coach/medics and probably get off the pitch. It's also his responsability with his team. This is nothing new, I ermember Karius had the same dumb excuse in the CL final
@colachofcb its not an excuse, it is a genuine reason. When you're in the heat of the game you dont realise you have a concussion. Some dont even remember what happens 30 minutes to 1 hour after their concussion, let alone being aware enough to realise you have one in the first place, especially not in the heat of the game. It's not as simple as "Oh, I have a concussion, silly me! I shouldnt be playing! Take me out coach" For example ederson when he got a concussion last season vs spurs, threw a tantrum at pep for subbing him out because to him he felt completely fine and ready to go.

Yeah, the ball definitely took a strange hop, as if the grass there had a divot or was uneven. This happens quite a bit in baseball when infielders misplay the ball. Looks like Meslier expected a gentle, higher bounce straight into his chest, and instead the ball made a low bounce to his right and he couldn’t react in time.

However, I do recall the overconfident touches and poor distribution that has cost Leeds points since his time at the club. Clean sheets are mostly attributed to the defence and tactics, rather than the bloke between the sticks. Meslier is far from becoming World class. I doubt that will happen, but I’m no soothsayer, I just see what’s there, right in front of me. Meslier couldn’t even do that tonight.
Said for years our fabulous gk costs us on average 9 points a season which may I add is very, very important if you want promotion. But oh well we keep playing the dope for some mad reason, I mean he can’t even catch a ball and that’s his job haha. Oh well 2 down 7 more he will cost us somewhere down the line. MOT.

As an aspiring keeper i was taught from a young age, get in front of the ball and keep my legs closed. Dodgy bounces will happen from time to time so this will help limit the chance of the ball going in
