I knew Lee Sklar was good, but God, this man can make a bassline for everything! Let´s face it, Steve Bailey didn´t prove himself as good as people thinks he is. In this video, he got to solo twice and every time Lee topped him with his musical abilities. Kudos to him!
True, on both counts. Lee S is a master at establishing the bottom, even without a drummer there (and the crazy thing, is you don't miss it). I've heard Steve Bailey play live twice and both times I contemplated taking my '96 German Warwick to the pawn shop. It did make me woodshed more though.
I'm really impressed at the quality and sound of Warwick's Rock Bass series. I have two - a Streamer Fretless and a Bootsy Collins (the purple star-shaped one!). Features include a quick release strap lock system, and very quick and easy truss rod access plus the truss rod tool which is so much better than fiddling around with allen keys.
I have a 5-string Rockbass Streamer Standard with tiger stripe ebony board. I changed out the strings to Rotosound flatwounds as the board was getting marks on it. Also I like the sound of flats.
hello like to know about the regulation of bass arm warwick corvette basic 5 strings made in China. some people say they have problems with the tensioner to adjust the strings. thank you!
I wanna know if the star bass could pull rock/metal. I've always wanted a 5 string in that 335 style, but it needs to be able to work the hard stuff!!!
I have true german. Bubinga body ovangkol neck and fretboard by wenguè corvette std. 8 years have. Its new wit mec pasives novv actives cause impossible cutting that wpods now. Thanks. Warwick. My. Best. Bass
Loved Lee Sklar here. Nothing fancy, just doing what he's gotta do. On the other hand, I think I'm going off Steve's playing. I t always sounds the same to me
always prefer the bass to be full and sweet if the guitars are going to be highly distorted, the really crunchy basses add to the noise but not the music IMHO - but nice demo, pro musicians, great exes
The streamer and the star bass are the only basses from warwick that looks good. Everyone has their own opinion. But the corvette, thumb and especially the dolphin look horrible.... Sorry.
Honestly the way I see it is that the "Warwick Look" is mainly coming from the Corvette style bodies. The Corvette ones are what made me fall in love with Warwick. It's just wacky enough to be cool, but not out-there enough to be too weird. I'm also an Ibanez SR player as well (BEST "bang-for-buck" basses in the industry, period), and I do LOVE the modern look of those as well, and of course I think the Elite models of the Fender J's and P's are absolutely stunning (I prefer a more "modern" "progressive" style look, however). But yeah there's also something about Warwick's that make feel like I'm playing the BMW of bass guitars (yes it's mainly just a silly bias I give it because I know it's a German company; but it's all about what makes yourSELF happy/into it!)
I think the Star is cool in it's own way, like, artistically. But I definitely FAR from prefer it. And another interesting point on perspective, is that I completely dislike the Streamer and Star body styles. So it just goes to show that there's no "right or wrong" to how something "looks." .... Sorry. ;)
the basses are fine. but this is beyond cringe. that guy with the glasses, the endless sale pitch, the bad acting. man...a simple presentation would've been enough
Wake up fellow musicians can these old men even read music Does it all depend on how you bash the strings and what pedals you have its bollocks my 6 albums are way better
Wow, Lee Sklar is so good to watch and listen to.
Sklar isnt playing anything complicated and at the same time it sounds so peaceful and beautiful.
I knew Lee Sklar was good, but God, this man can make a bassline for everything! Let´s face it, Steve Bailey didn´t prove himself as good as people thinks he is. In this video, he got to solo twice and every time Lee topped him with his musical abilities. Kudos to him!
I love Sklar, but Id say I actually prefer Steve Bailey!!
OneWithJah I do as well. I only spoke about this particular video.

I could sit and listen to you guys all night. Stunning skills speak for them selves.
So nice to see Gandalf playing so well!
Lee Sklar and Steve Bailey on those starbasses was just amazing to listen to
Fred Durst has come a long way with his bass playing. Good for him.
that last jam is awesome .... it just proves a fact that you dont need 10000$ instrument to sound good
I know this comment is 2 years old, but the amps are actually just around 1500 USD give or take, for the whole set up of the head+2 cabs.
If they were actors they would definitely Starve!!! jajaja
Man, need to buy a Warwick soon! BEST COMPANY EVER!
lee sklar number one!
yeah
Got to meet him earlier this Year. He's a cool Guy.
Leonardo Serra - he’s all groove and tone... the fucking best
I love Lee. He doesn't have to go crazy to know he's a great bass player.
Leland the master !! Genius
My god, I could listen to Lee Sklar lay down those smooth lines until Gabriel blows his horn, that is just smooth as can be

Oh, men, it's perfect, what a great pleasure to listen
That star bass has my heart!!! I can only dream of having one...Maybe someday.
Steve Balley playing a fretted bass?
I'm SOOOOOOOO in love with the star bass... I just need one!!!!!
I have a 5-string Rockbass Streamer Standard with tiger stripe ebony board. I changed out the strings to Rotosound flatwounds as the board was getting marks on it. Also I like the sound of flats.
If there was ever an opportunity to do "big bottom" by Spinal Tap, this was it.
playing with Lee looks... intimate
I did not know Panoramix was a bass player! XD
HEAVY METAL IRVINE!!! xDDD
i thought i would never see that...
Check out his upright thrash video, he puts distortion on an upright electric and goes for it! it's amazing!
I would love a chance to do one of these Videos!!!
hello like to know about the regulation of bass arm warwick corvette basic 5 strings made in China. some people say they have problems with the tensioner to adjust the strings. thank you!
OK, Lee really IS the bass god. Simple as that.
Steve Bailey is a short dude!
I wanna know if the star bass could pull rock/metal. I've always wanted a 5 string in that 335 style, but it needs to be able to work the hard stuff!!!
What does the star bass sound like with flat wounds? I have been looking around for something with that classic vintage tone.
awesome play ay the middle and end
1:08 that moment its sou hilarous, like a tv product comercial haha
I never realized Steve was so...smol
I have true german. Bubinga body ovangkol neck and fretboard by wenguè corvette std. 8 years have. Its new wit mec pasives novv actives cause impossible cutting that wpods now. Thanks. Warwick. My. Best. Bass

Loved Lee Sklar here. Nothing fancy, just doing what he's gotta do. On the other hand, I think I'm going off Steve's playing. I t always sounds the same to me
Steve is perfectly in tune...!
+Dyshof TV Finally someone who notices. Wish someone prohibited him from getting fretless, because on normal bass he actually seems really good.
Any Rock Bass Fretless with lines painted on ? Passive/ tone switch ?
Steve quoted Scrapple from the Apple at 4:06!
+James Nadien bird!
Nice gear!
where cud u get these in montreal
bought a streamer fretless rockbass for 250 bucks, it honestly doesn't sound bad, and plays good
My very first bass was a Framus Star Bass. I would think--and hope--the Warwick is a vastly superior instrument.
Weird seeing steve on a fretted.
Are they better than Lakland And Bongo?
So sick
Epic beard!
Great!!!
damn santa lost some weight
Thank you.
Warwick is the best of the best. the rich sound and the most beauty full sexy body form for a bass in the worldwide
Sunshine of Love 6:18

Steve looks soooo tired- must have been pulling a double and suffering jet lag
steve bailey....playing a fretted instrument...*whipes eyes*
Lee !!!!!!!!
ARH-WOOOOOOOOOOOO
Wake me up when it's over....
Love that Star Bass ! If u have nothing good to say about the players don't write anything .
That attitude is why freedom of speech is suffering.
The goblin genius with the gray beard is not the bassist of Phill Collins ..!?
I was drawn to Bass because my hands are like shovels
steve bailey in highC tuning.
I need a new bass!
+Lasse Huhtala Replying to myself because I just bought a Warwick Robert Trujillo signature, which is like butter!

Great acting there. Any more corny and I'd ask for seconds...
Give me one of those basses pleeeeeeeeeeeeease! :D :(
It's about money, nothing more!
Ваще крутые !!!

Steve Bailey is looking rough... Wonder if he got hooked on something, sure hope not.

Dang, seems so much younger in the other videos...
Paul Johnson he wears sunglasses a lot

Tobias TK and they copied spector for the streamer.

I could nearly fully agree with you, but I actually love the dolphin bass...
shoot me now...
Bailey looked baked!! The dude with the pick added nothing. Frustrated guitarist lol!!
A few more lessons and that guy with the long grey beard could be quite good.
Haircuts anybody?
Nope I think I’ll pay the extra money to get a German made Warwick, doesn’t sound like a Warwick
Just wanted to see a review... Not two bass players... So pointless!
My rockbass - ua-cam.com/video/z8pdP3XcL7o/v-deo.html
It's nice you have a budget line but "Rock Bass" is a dumb name.
.... affordable???...really??? 500 to 900$ is not affordable HAHAHA
jake fromstatefarm They have some at 5000USD, so well... yeah
read my post again i said that 500 isnt affordable lol
I know, that's what I'm saying, like it's not, but then again if you compare it to 5000 it's like dirt cheap lol
well yeah thats way different lol
+jake fromstatefarm 500 is pretty affordable
1:53 oh god how cringe
The players are in a balance with this cheap stuff.
Haha cringey af
that guy with the pick is absolutely awful
Thanks Alv gotta say your punching the bass sounds terrible and choice of notes even worse
Jesus what a racket who are these nomads ?
+Ward Nine retarded comment seriously
Sweet Jesus Rick I play better than these old men with my toes
+Ward Nine we would love to see a video about it.... or at least one...
Wow ward nine. Your mouth is amazing.
if you say something like that, i can only conclude that you have no experience playing in a band, and no knowledge about harmony and rythm, at all.
Dream ahead, Big Mouth
hahahahahhahaha, nope
the basses are fine. but this is beyond cringe. that guy with the glasses, the endless sale pitch, the bad acting. man...a simple presentation would've been enough
boring.
