I have mine 2022 Santa Cruz premium SE and it’s a wonderful vehicle that Hyundai said it would be.

My Veloster N had paint issues, actually had paint drips hanging off of the bottom of the panels, not only this, if you breathe on it wrong, the paint would chip. BUT, it was a great car and I now own the Santa Cruz SEL, fingers crossed the paint is more robust.

Looking forward to test driving one of these. Not yet ready to replace my Xterra, but if I were going to this is at the top of the list!

Bought the Santa Cruz SEL AWD base model. Saved $12,000 w/ the same safety features and most of the options as the premium and limited models. Aftermarket soft tonneau, class III hitch, etc. Better transmission too...

    It’s a sharp little truck !
I like it ! I was looking at the Honda Ridgeline … but this just might be what I need when going to the store and maybe a vacation with mama !

Cool video 👍 I’m waiting for one to get to the dealer this week- pretty exciting! The warranty alone is 🔥 lifetime power and trans- + 100k bumper to bumper and 3 years free oil changes / maintenance 😳

I hear so many complaints about the piano black info center surface and lack of buttons... Im working on a self-adhesive overlay, in colors and textures, with cutout where the buttons should be, so you can operate it by touch, without looking... MUCH SAFER...

Biggest problem is the hitch receiver should be installed at the plant instead of a dealership addon

Amazing video! Any idea if the 2.5t Santa Fe tow as much as the 2.5t Santa Cruz despite tow rating of only 3500?

Hi guys, someone know where is the main VIN engraving? Not the one under the sun glasses, but the one in right side.

Here's a simple question I have about automobile production. When they put the suspension components on the car do they do a four-wheel alignment? Or are the parts assembled such that they're already correct?

    • @TDTVGarage

The plants that we have visited have a station at or near the end of the line where alignment is checked and adjusted before the vehicle rolls off. Whether or not all four wheels are part of that has to do with whether there are adjustments to be made for each or not.

Hyundai was out the gate first with this Santa Cruz but losing ground fast to Ford if not already behind. Why reserve one without pricing? Also for a 5,000 lb tow rating it better have a tow package you can order ahead factory installed like Ford Maverick 4,000 lb tow package. Maybe Hyundai is only making a predetermined Qty of these and trying to figure out what price to sell for to maximize their profit. Too much demand a la Telluride and they can’t keep up. By year 2 they will have Santa Cruz dialed including better color selections. Not a truck but only comes in truck colors? All said I love this vehicle.

“Those on the early reservation rolls can start to get excited” Boy is that a joke. The reservation process was a complete joke and total marketing scam. The 4 dealers I visited to buy a truck were completely clueless. As of today nobody has any idea where my hundred dollars went.

I kinda like the Santa Cruz, its too bad Hyundai's marketing group are color blind... the colors are awful... Mauvey gray, washed out blue, olive drab, tan sand, or black or white (which are actually 'lack of color') These were the kids, that the first day of school, the bullies stole their colorful crayons.. :(
