    I recently purchase the NETGEAR Nighthawk CAX80 AX6000 Cable Modem Router. I had the Motorola MT8733 before I bought the CAX80 and that modem was a disaster. Dropped WiFi speeds on both bands, 2.5 GHz and 5 GHz and slow WiFi speeds. I couldn't be more happier with the CAX80. The NETGEAR CAX80 is a step up from the CAX30 which is $100 cheaper. It has the newest WiFi technology Wifi 6. It has WPA 3 security on both bands (2.5 GHz and 5 GHz), 5 Ethernet ports, including a 2.5 Gbps LAN port, and its compatible with Spectrum, Cox, & Xfinity.
    Easy to set up using the NETGEAR Nighthawk app which is a million miles better than the MotoSync app from Motorola. In the app you can update the modem's firmware, reboot the modem, set up your network names on both bands, purchase an extended warranty for your modem, test your network speed, and many other things you can do in the app. A free 30 day trial of NETGEAR Armor. NETGEAR Arnor protects you modem from suspicious sites and Malware. After the free trail its $99.99 a year.

      AX6000 is a Cable Modem Router. So you shouldn’t need a support wifi router at all.

    hey Bro! Do you know if this is compatible with European cable ISP? I live in the EU. My cousin, who lives in Rhode Island, wants to give me his one, since he doesn't use cable internet no more.

    How does this compare to the ax2700? My internet is spotty and my isp store told me to get one of these Netgear modems and I'll get more consistent speed

      The AX2700 is $349 whereas the AX6000 is $500.
      They both have the same features, Wi-Fi 6, NETGEAR Nighthawk app. However, the AX6000 has 5 Ethernet ports one being a 2.5 gbps which gives you up to 2.5 gbps speeds. The AX2700 only gives you 1 gigabit speeds.
      You only can stream 6 devices at once on the AX2700. On the AX6000. You can steen 8 devices.

      @@merciless41582 so the reason I'm looking into the two is because my ISP has drops in speed during peak times and it's affecting my work from. The person at the store from the ISP recommends I go with a Netgear as it will be able to provide a more reliable connection and I shouldn't experience dips like I do with their modem.
      I just don't see how that may make sense, both devices are running 3.1 and I don't know how the Netgear would be able to pull a more stable connection vs the ISP (cox)
      350 or 450 is a lot of money so I want to make the right decision here. Thank you for your reply!

      @@7HEREALDON You should just get the AX2700 if your current plan is 1 GIG speeds. They both are DOCSIS 3.1 with Wi-Fi 6 technology.

    Do you know if the 2.5GB port works with a 2.5GB switch?

    • @merciless41582
      @merciless41582  Рік тому

      I'm not sure but it should. This has a router built in so you wouldn't need a switch unless you have a lot of devices you want to connect via Ethernet.

      It’s because it was done through the NETGEAR app my Wifi is a lot faster than that if I conduct the test on SpeedTest or any other test site
