WAY back in the early 1980's when I was 20 years old, my best friend had a 1970 2nd gen split bumper Camaro. I couldn't begin to tell you the number of hours we spent cruising our local strip in that car. Also I was along for the ride, and met my share of pretty ladies whose heads he turn with that Camaro, I was always so envious. It's been one of my top three favorite muscle card ever since. I always said I'd get my hands on one some day, but then of course life takes hold, marriage, kids, mortgage, etc... I still keep in touch with my old friend, and man does he ever kick himself for getting rod of that Camaro. I'm just here to say thanks, fellas, for putting together one of the nicest Camaros I've ever seen. Every time I see one of these beautiful works of art on the road, it tames me back to my youth. Well done on this bad boy.
Im not sure what year it is , but I'd love to see y'all restore a maverick! I fell in love with one of those at the drags one year . I thought it was a nova II . THAT SUCKER WAS FAST NOW!!
great job guys - very impressed with this 2nd.gen.camaro - i love the old school vehicles with the new school look and technology - you guys are very impressive - keep up the great work!!!!!
In the middle of building a 2nd Gen. Funny how much my project overlaps with this project. Ride tech all around, Gen v lt1 swap, currie 9", tanks Inc tank, wilwood disc all around. 😂
I've never entered to win anything however after seeing this car I had to pay the 8.95 to enter! You guys created the best vehicle I could ever imagine! Good luck to all of us who entered
so badass! .... two questions... 1. when idling or in a traffic jam, do exhaust fumes get in the car or trunk? I noticed the exhaust ends in the middle of the car and fumes usually rise when standing still. 2. love the big brake conversion, but how small of a wheel can I put on it? personal preference, I like a bigger sidewall on the tire.
No, this Camaro is air tight and we've never noticed any fumes in the cabin at a stop or otherwise. These are Corvette C5 brakes, so you'd need to run a wheel that's at least 17 inches.
Yeah unfortunately we ran out of time as the date we scheduled to do it got pushed back; can confirm at 700HP the Dyno results would be around ~625+ though!
I honestly would love that car because for one I'm literally in love with camaros and the first one I ever had was my dream one Which was an all black, drop-top, convertible 2018 model and honestly for a non lucky person that is a dope ass car I'd feel unstoppable in that 🥰🦇🦇
Question about the wheels. Chris said 19 inch wheels. What is the width and offset for both front and back? Also, tires are 245 front and 275 rear? I’m curious because I have a 2nd gen Firebird that I am starting to RestoMod
Will it clear a speed bump? Looks very low. Our church parking lot has many; signed Esmerwellda Wimpinpooper. This will be perfect for our holy water delivery service.
I hope I win. I could really use a car and Covid has not been making any of this easy for me and my family. I can only hope for the best right now. The car looks so beautiful . I would love to own my dream car
Gorgeous and truly classic, dream car..
