Ancient Skills was my favorite release and find of last year, and I think the biggest thing with these guys is that they've improved a lot over time. I believe Ancient Skills improves massively on this album and is much more mature and focused (they seemed to build upon the very best moments from this albums such as the outro to Nausta), the vocals are much better as well, but going back further this album is actually a huge step up from their first EP 🙏 all of that to say, I think it's awesome to see where they started but the future is definitely where the gold lies for these guys :) after hearing ancient skills I would really say the sky is the limit for them, I would even say Flying is my favorite song ever...
(Also it's time for you to be blown away by the first Agent Fresco album 😉)

Ancient Skills is such an incredibly unique EP. I can't wait to see what they come out with next. And I have a list of like 12 new albums that I have to catch up on but you can bet once I get through those I'm going to check out more Agent Fresco

@@coreyclip1 you're gonna love the first Agent Fresco album. it's less immediately enjoyable than Destrier because it seems to take more risks and it's more raw (a little bit heavier as well). The album is about how the singer lost his father one summer and the process of isolating himself from everyone while grieving until music was able to help him push forward again, which definitely makes sense when you hear how intense and emotionally charged the songs are. Some songs were written during some of his first gatherings with people after his father passed when he and his friends/family would just start singing and stringing things together, and there are definitely some parts of the album that I didn't understand until I learned what the album is about, so I think knowing that going into the album might help you enjoy it more 🙏 (there is a vocal hook that repeats constantly throughout the title track with this driving bass drum that I always thought was a bit odd and uncomfortable until I realized that was the whole point. In that part he says "Skylines drew lines under my eyes, how the chime came quickly," basically talking about the amount of time he spent alone looking out at the sky and up to the heavens when he was grieving, and I now think of the bass drum in that part as his heartbeat, or maybe the hours/days passing by him. You'll see what I mean when you hear it, but it's quite a deep album :)
