the show at the garage, in london, england is interesting for a few reasons. karl remarks "the garage was insane...on the verge of technical disaster at all times...longest set ever?.... 2 song encore! (a first?)..." the band also whipped out what appeared to be a spontaneous 15 second cover of old school metal rockster's iron maiden. apparently the crowd got really excited because after the cover according to the band "too many of you people know that song...its a bad thing really." as thet set continued several weezer-rabid fans kept yelling "jamie! jah-mie! jay-mee!" so the band finally complied with playing jamie along with tired of sex as encores.
The gig was bootlegged and released as an unofficial CD titled "Back in the Garage" by Trade Mark Of Quality and Y2K Entertainment in 1999. (thanks to Joel-G for the CD rip!)
This is a reupload with a better CD rip source, which now sounds more crisp than the "old" rip.
I've remastered by speed-corrected and balanced the left-right channels, no EQ applied.

at 0:49 someone (matt i think) says "It's like a holocaust to the boss when I toss," which is a line of Ice Cube's "The Bomb" which Rivers covered in 1992 and you can listen to this on Alone I. I don't know why I knew this and why anyone would want this information, but im just puttin it out there.

I think Matt says it, but if you listen to what rivers is saying, he's also singing lyrics to the bomb.
He always sung the lyrics during the talking part of the sweater song during the pinkerton tour.
It's more noticeable in the Germany bizarre fest performance

This was my first Weezer gig. I remember the crowd was singing "Jamie" before the band even came out.

The historic event notes also noted this recording as "this was the firstshow from the pinkerton tour to have known to be bootlegged by an audience member and widely circulated (although poor quality)." while this is a very good quality bootleg, i'm pretty sure karl referenced this (ua-cam.com/video/o4ZMlDVYsVM/v-deo.html) as a poor quality bootleg

This recording is waaaaay nicer than the one that was going around back in the day. It's possibly/probably the same source, but the cassette I had from the late 90s sounded much worse, maybe it was just 10th generation. Sound quality was like a B-..... This is a straight A!

maybe it's just the quality of the image but the headstock on Rivers's strat looks bigger than usual (CBS style), wonder if anything had happened to it

I think it's just the angle of the image that makes the headstock look big, the headstock looks normal in the bizarre fest video (the gig just happened 4 days earlier before this show)

That is definitely a CBS neck on the blue strat.. It looks exactly like the neck on my strat. I don't even think the angle of the image would make the normal headstock look that large.
