Yes!! And the harder I to be graceful and elegant, the greater the chance that I will trip over my own feet, or take a corner too close and bang my hip on a counter. My dad used to call me “The Destroyer” because I left a path of destruction wherever I went. Tangentially related, has any SD (or any tall type really) ever felt acutely aware of their height/size as compared to others? I’ve worked with a few ladies who were very petite (one was 4’11), and man! They’d just be stomping around in their high heels, and slamming cabinets doors and stuff. No one thought a thing about it, and honestly, it was incredibly endearing. But as a plus-sized 5’9 woman, I go WAYYY out of my way to be as gentle as possible whenever I’m walking around or closing cabinet doors. With my imposing stature, I feel it would read less as cute and more as aggressive. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I LOVE Godzilla, but I don’t want to BE him! I’m more of a Mothra fan anyway. ☺️ All joking aside, this was a fascinating video. Love your work and thank you!!
Something I noticed with a few of these is how they will come off so elegant/graceful while recounting a story or explaining their thoughts, but then there will be a moment where they smile or laugh and it's almost like the veneer breaks and they come off shy and girlish for a second, and have to recollect themselves. So charming.
You describe the Kibbe types absolutely beautifully. I love that I found your channel. I’m a Soft Dramatic, almost stereotypically so lol 5’ 10” with the long limbs but very clear curves. And full facial features. And oh my god, I absolutely relate to this video. You’re very perceptive. We’re def very inward when thinking about what we’re going to say next. Also certainly friendly and expressive, but we’re quite reserved as well. I think Sofia is just very outgoing naturally given her South American cultural influence. My boyfriend is Brazilian and his entire family is super boisterous and fun. They say it’s because they’re South American lol which makes sense to me. Sofia is without a doubt the most outgoing SD I’ve ever seen. But I do relate to her mannerisms still.
Wow thank you :) I love hearing from the examples I refer to, thanks for your insight :) And yes, I have many South American friends and I can confirm that they have a very vibrant, vivacious culture, I love it!
I do the exact same thing with my eyes (moving them as if I am searching for the right words in my head)when I am trying to tell a story. I didn’t realize until I made a UA-cam video and saw myself. This is all so interesting to me, thank you for sharing. ❤️
As a SD I relate a lot to Monica Belluci in the way she talks. I definitely have heard that I have a „seductive“ expression when I have a resting face! And I am definitely more reserved 😋 Thanks for the explanations as always!!
this was so cool thank you! I'm stuck between SD and FN at the moment, can't quite figure out which fits best and how much of my self perception is just skewed, but this was super interesting to see because this is exactly me in mannerisms was also cool to apply an astrology lens to it because the captivating side feels quite Leo, whereas the energy going inwards feels more watery, especially Scorpio because there's a magnetism when they're doing that, or Aquarian in a way, and the softness feels very Venusian love this analysis
Wow, lovely to see this. I went back to look at my videos and I see similar characteristics in myself. Wonderful that you have brought this to our attention. Very unique observations. Thank you.
that is really awesome to hear :) i may have to go back and do another round of these using the old hollywood stars and their acting/stage persona movements
@@thealignedlover ahhh that would be amazing! i feel like the old hollywood women represent their kibbe types perfectly, especially the lovely sophia loren
Honestly Sofia vergara struck me as some sort of natural always, and her mannerisms is so similar to soft natural. Sofia carries her self so differently from other soft dramatic.
Interesting! I just happened across this series, and despite writing off the dramatics for myself... in terms of body language I found this was much closer than SN for me.
@@thealignedlover it is. I'm absolutely SN, but I have a lot of Ethereal type of drama. Kibbe doesn't use Ethereal. I chock it up to being an enneagram 4 Sx and INFP more than body type. It's an interesting concept, and quite possibly true in many cases that similarly would occur simply because of how different types of bodies naturally move. But I don't think it's a decisive factor in and of itself... more than likely a byproduct of the combination of body type, upbringing, genetics, personality, need values.. . For example, someone with a lot of Dramatic will probably also have deeper drama in their personality in part from genetic makeup and the person's background. People see drama, interacting with it, and the individual learns that drama will get certain types of results. Someone with a lot of Ethereal but little or no drama is dramatic differently, in that no matter their size, they came across as delicate... more easily breakable. People treat them differently, so they act differently. Someone with both, like Tilda S is seen by many as a juxtaposition of strength and delicacy. Her movement is a combination of the two, and so is much of her costuming. Naturals are seen as athletically strong whether or not they see themselves as having an athletic bone in their bodies. I don't consider myself an athlete, though I appreciate athleticism in others. I only have two or three N answers on the Kibbe test, and if one of them wasn't my height, I'd be R. But I'm 5'6.5"...completely R outfits all of the time would be ridiculous. My personality is romantic, creative, slightly rebellious, usually peacemaking, occasionally quirky, and a bit competitive (due to being intimacy - first for my needs). I'm also highly disabled. So sporty is the last anyone who knows me would describe me as. Anyway, I just thought it was interesting, how for many people, your theory Would work for, but also that there would be exceptions. 🤗
I think I want to be a soft natural because I'm not good with hair and I like their clothes better 😂 but I definitely seem more soft dramatic in expression.
I am a shorter SD at 168 cm or 5’6. However I wonder if I am really a SD or overweight D 😅 I am not sure I appear to others but I do think I relive memories and moments when I am talking about them. I do have that “it’s my experience and perception” gestures and thoughts when I am talking. But I also have that definitive gestures too 😅
Oh yep, we sure are graceful ~ *hides all the bruises from furniture corners and accidentally whacking things whilst gesticulating wildly*
Hahahaha :] made my morning
💖
I get told I am graceful all the time, yet my nickname used to be "trip" because I can't walk without running into something 🤦♀️

wow this really confirmed for me that I am an SD, I really do use similar body language.
such a charming type 💕💕

Fascinating and very intelligent analysis.

I feel even more Dramatic know.I use so much sharp hand gestures like them.Amazing video.
So cool to hear that!
please do the mannerisms and body language video for SOFT NATURALS!! and maybe flamboyant naturals as well

Mix and match, life is too short to limit yourself!
I am a soft dramatic amd I do exactly the same gestures as Sofia. I am Mexican but we are also very Expressive with our hands.

I actually talk like sofia.. very expressive and smiley 😊😊
Have you studied psychology you are so good at this. Love it
I talk. like Sofia and want to be like Monica
Not that it is the bad thing but I am overly expressive
I will have a video talking about...how to talk in the future :)
@@thealignedlover I would love that 🙏💙
Bellucci reminds me K. Stewart (N) in her gestures in that interview
Funny! That was exactly what i thought by watching this video right now 😂!
Can one be a SD but with different mannerisms?
Of course. These are just patterns observed. These are not meant to type anyone.
In fact Eva Mendes is FN...
What about tyra banks how can you forget her she is so text book soft dramatic from her body to her mannerisms.
That really looks like me
very cool :)

how cool!
