This is the best caramel slice on the internet! Also because it doesn't have maple syrup added to it! I used dark brown sugar instead of just brown sugar and I also added salt to the caramel to make it in to a salted caramel slice and OMG!!! AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can I leave a suggestion for making this recipe video: there’s no clear indication of how long and what temperature in the oven every time! That’s so confusing for someone who’s not familiar with oven 😖

Hi, Im not confident in the kitchen and not a cook ....I usually buy any slices, however I made this today.....my caramel is quite pale and soft.....I did bake it, but think I might have added the condensed milk too soon, it was only just simmering 🤔 could this be the reason ? The chocolate looks good, but I'm disappointed in the end result 🫤
I love Carmel slice, if I were to make it who would eat it with me? I only have one companion...I'd love to make some myself...question is can I freeze it?

@@sg30008 You may want to julienne or chop a favorite dried fruit like apricots or another fruit that might pair well with the chocolate and caramel flavors as an alternative.

Sorry for the late response, I wouldn't advise freezing, that tends to make the caramel taste funny
Half the recipe and use a smaller tin. They should also keep well for a few days.

You could probably leave it out completely. The base would then be a basic bar layer.
