Netflix can pick up from where paramount left off then with Both Father Acosta and Kristin Bouchard in Rome, and Ben can come from time to time for them to do “Assessors work” It would be awesome😄😄😄👏🏾👏🏾
Honestly, the drastic character arc for Andy really turned me off. It felt straight-up character assassination when he had just saved his daughter's life to then turn around and fuck some dumb bitch. At that point in this season I realized they were just giving up. Also, the jinn didn't even make sense. What purpose did it serve aside from wasting time and meandering side quests style storytelling? The finale didn't feel compelling at all. It felt like a typical episode. Maybe I just didn't "get" it.
I believe these are things that wouldn't have been thrown away had they been renewed. The Jinn would've been a great storyline especially knowing his dad suffered the same situation. Andy could've had a redemption arc bc we all already knew Kristen was emotionally cheating and that she is a killer etc. So many things could've been added. I wasnt too mad at Andy for cheating tbh bc I figured they'd work it out later. Just like they did with the mom.
They could have ended Andy's character in a more respectful way to take him away from the screen to open space for the Kristen and David romance they clearly wanted to do. The best ways I think they could have do it are or by full killing him with the poison that he almost gave to his daughter, like leave him in the hospital for a few scenes and kill him in a heroic way later leaving clues for Kristen to find it out, or leave for him to be found as a victim when Leland´s place gets investigated by the police
I agree. His part seemed almost like a distraction that had no sense, theory or story of its own. It was as though he was just a fleeting idea of what her husband may have been like, but didn't have an actual identity. There wasn't enough of him in the storyline to even give us a chance to bond or care about his character...
Holly wood hates fathers in the home. Especially talented capable ones that trust their wives the role of mother...so they had to dunk on him ever since episode 1..

This was such an AMAZING show!!! I'm gonna miss it!!! The actors and actresses were fantastic, the ploys were clever and engaging, and the character portrayals were wonderful! But there are unresolved character story arcs that would be an excellent segway into the program being renewed. BUT the longer a series stays off the air, the less likely it is to get renewed or picked up elsewhere.
The show would constantly drop the ball on interesting plot points to then explore a seemingly random subplot that wouldn't really go anywhere itself. The story had a ton of potential, but the writers were far too scatter brained with their ideas. Also, it was clear the writers did not have much knowledge in the realm of Christianity, Islam, demonology or the paranormal. With such deep potentials on all those subjects they only explored them on a very surface level which prevented it from becoming more interesting. Many episodes seemed unresolved or the finish to them was weak and had little impact. There was also no real risk or development to the main characters. Even with Kristen being a cheating murderer who was being influenced by some evil force, there were no real consequences for any of it.
Honestly, it was clear from the start they wanted to make a Kristen x David end romance game, since they always found excuses to take her husband away for long periods of time. I think a lot of fans got disappointed by the way the narrative ended Andy's character. It could’ve been done more respectfully and in a more satisfying way if the show: 1 gave him a "heroic" way out by fully killing he almost gave poison to his daughter, instead giving it to himself, we could have had him in the hospital for a few scenes with him eventually dying, with his wife found about what really happened later in the season, or 2 make him go missing, only for Kristen to find what happened to him when grandma set up the trap that gets Leland´s place investigated by the police, make Andy be one of the victims they found in Leland´s house, instead of two random people I think these two option would give him a more impactful end for Andy

...so...the baby at the end...did it imply that a baptism wasn't necessary anyway because he was meant to be Evil all along? Or, did it just prolong the inevitable Evil crap? Didn't make sense...
I think it was canceled bc it literally explains how demons have taken over the world. And the lead character lady is just ridiculous and not a good person. She has seen enough to believe in more than what is. But like any female lead today she’s just written horribly and not portrayed well. The actress thinks she’s better than what she really is. Like the character. It’s fittingly ironic. Everyone else minus her annoying kids behavior is amazing. I love the Nun who sees the demons. David and Ben are phenomenal though Bens denial is a little hard to deal with when you know what he’s seen. But still good.
There is so much more that could be or could have been to this amazing campy horror. Question for everyone: Would you be ok if a revival takes place on a previous timeline? For example, instead of a continuation of the current timeline, the next season would be before those 4 "final season" episodes. Like we forget they ever existed, and come back to Season 4 ending. Probably 1 or 2 more full seasons to actually give it a proper wrap up. I would definitively be on board with that. I hated how quick the 4 episodes were, and I absolutely despised the final episode. I would be happy to pretend they never existed and go back to season 4 finale. Then to start season 5 right from there. Make it "Netfix's Version" if you will. Update: I wouldn't even mind if they make a list of everything thas was left in the open after those 4 seasons, RSM fertility and Ben's Jynx for example, and have episodes that resolve old stuff.
Like they need to do more seasons bc where they left off I feel like was not a great approach to end the tv series like there has to have good ending like we want to know what happens does baby be come the Antichrist
I’m pretty sure Netflix had Evil in the beginning either season 1 or 2 I remember it being on regular tv for a season. Seemed like it kept getting cancelled every season until paramount picked it up for the last 2 seasons
It was on CBS for one season. Then CBS moved it to Paramount+ for seasons 2-4. Netflix has recently picked up previously aired seasons but not the rights for new episodes beyond this season. That could change if they thought it would push subscriptions.
It wasn't supposed to be the final season, but during production CBS cancelled the show. They did give them 4 "extra" episodes to wrap up the overall story.

Lol
I love this show. I just began watching it
Yo I was so mad at the last episode wtf
The show was great. Bottom 5 all time series finales.
Too many things to list.
I thought it was clever the show writers also called out the shortcomings of the Catholic Church. And who the men and women running it are also responsible for doing bad things to others.
Hell, even Stephen King made a tweet about this show
What did he say?
They might make a movie?
I hope😢
Bummer. Did it hit to close to home? How much time do you spend with ur tech device as opposed to family friends. Hmmmmmm??????
Yeah keep thinking that😂😂😂
it was always the last season, know i read it was before it came out for this season.
It wasn't supposed to be the final season, but during production CBS cancelled the show. They did give them 4 "extra" episodes to wrap up the overall story.
Potential and manipulation is what it's full of
