I watched your last video and used your tips, after getting skunked the last 3 weeks I was amazed at how quickly I picked up 2 bulls. Thanks so much! Subbed!
Hmmmmm.....hate to say it but it seems like spinning tackle would be more effective in this case. This looks a heck of a lot like how we go after smallmouth on the fly. I may try walking a weighted fluke when I come up there. Maybe swap the trebles on a couple crankbaits and jerkbaits for single hooks. That's pretty much how people are going after trophy browns in the tailwaters where I live.
@@Torinfnp glad you think so! Some fly fisherman are purists. Most of the time all I care about is that the fish are released healthy and I caught them on a rod.
I am loving your stuff! I can’t wait for this snow to bug off so I can get out and try your tips! Care to share where I can try to catch one of these beauties?
Hey , i found i spot today with like 7 big bull trout all in 1 big pool. i could see them, 1 was over 3 feet long. And the rest 2 to 3 feet. I tried everything but they would not take my fly's . Any advice?
I’m going after Bulls in Idaho in Sept. has anyone used mice patters at night for Bulls ?
Man u lubed that knot like kenny p.. lubin the deals
😅
pretty awesome vid! keep in mind double hook is illegal in BC but not Alberta
Thanks for watching!
I would like to know how you tied the knot in the middle? The knot on the smaller streamers hook?
Just an improved clinch knot. :)
Nice video. I just hit the jackpot for fishing gear but don't know how to use it properly. This helped.
Glad it helped!

@@Torinfnp Tight lines
@troll oftheyear you are.
I have a 5wt with 4x 5LB test. Do you think this is ok for some bulls
I think it would definitely be fine but you might want to buy some 3x tippet just so you can throw some bigger streamers

Lots of luck both ways! Each to their own!

@@Torinfnp still going to try this technique btw...just may bring a little bass tackle too.
Thank you so much for the video man!
Haha totally agree with you. I think just getting out in nature and enjoying the time is what matters. Appreciate the support! Tight Lines.
Awesome video dude! Subbed
Thanks for the support ben!
Great video man!! Just found your channel. Keep up the great work!!
Do you use a sinking line? What speed? Are you using a trout or spey at all to cast?
Depends on the river I fish. This can be done with floating line, or even a sink tip. Typically the fish I'm after will be within 2-10ft of water.
Great video keep it up man
Great video
Glad you enjoyed it

Torin Hofmann that’s right!
I caught my first Bull in August! Was a cute little guy. I’m looking forward to catching his burly Uncle Hog soon! 😆
Torin Hofmann I didn’t get to the highwood or the sheep this year 😿
I wanted to - and then it got cold! 🥶

Very cool! Definitely try to throw some streamers at them. They will either take it right away or they wont. Switch up the streamers quite often.
Why don’t you put the big fly up front?
Colorful CO Fly Fishing to imitate a large minnow chasing a smaller.
1 oz 6" white tube jig on a spinning rod will outfish any streamer 10-1
Thanks Kyle 👍🏼
Yeah that's bullshit 😂
