    This was an incredible learning experience for me. I too have had lessons on this machine from the store I purchased it from, they didn’t even come close to what I learned today. Thank you so much. I have saved this video so I can come back whenever I need some help.

    Thank you for sharing this wonderful tutorial on this machine. I watched it as a review on my machine and it really helped me get ready to start sewing again.

    Wow, that was a fantastic tutorial! I've had this machine for a couple months and have been struggling with the silly (to me, anyway.. :D ) bobbin winder. Can't teach an old dog new tricks, apparently! Ha! Super cool! Thank you so much!! You're a gifted teacher!

    Hi Kathryn, can you use the large Thread Spools, that requires a (dritz cone thread holder) with the Babylock Presto II machine?

    There is one thing I haven't seen anyone on UA-cam cover: How to thread and use the twin needles. Do you simply thread like one needle, twice? How does the auto-threader handle that?

    • @sewingstudiofl
      @sewingstudiofl  2 місяці тому

      Hello, you have to manually thread your needle when you use the twin needle. The auto threader will not work. When you are threading the machine, just thread it like normal, but twice. When you get to the bar above the needle, one thread goes behind the bar, and one thread stays in front to keep the threads separated. Then thread your needles with one thread each. Hope this helps, and happy sewing!

    I am 54 and had a stroke 7 years ago that left me with left sided deficits. I got a Presto 2 about a year ago to do some mending, but I really wanted to try quilting. I am new to quilting and have some basic sewing experience. I wanted to make a lap quilt but my husband didn't want that, he wanted a King Size quilt. I have been working on sewing my blocks together but have come up with some problems that I need help with. Maybe you have some ideas that will help. Is there a seam guide for the Presto 2 that can be attached to help me guide my fabric when sewing? I sew at a slow speed but I only have good hand control with my right hand. My left hand has some control but not enough for sewing. I got a few pieces for my block sewed together and some pieces I only caught a few threads on the back fabric. How do I fix this besides starting over? What is the best foot for sewing my pieces together to form my block? Also, what is the best foot for sewing my blocks to the batting and the backing? Any other tips or tricks would be appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help.

      Hi there, for piecing your quilt blocks together, you can use the 1/4" foot with a guide, that helps keep your 1/4" seams perfect and in line. When you are quilting your top with your batting and backing we recommend using your walking foot. This will make it easier to keep everything feeding through evenly. Hope this helps!

    NO WALKING FOOT??

      Hi there, there is a walking foot available to purchase as an optional accessory for this machine, you can definitely use a walking foot with it.
