I agree with the other reviewers. This is the best sewing machine tutorial I have ever viewed. Kathryn, BabyLock needs to see this video and hire you to do their videos !!
This is the absolute BEST teaching video I have ever seen! Clear and concise. Bravo to Kathryn! Thank you so much. I have learned so many things and I have had my Soprano for three years. :)
Thank you for this video. I purchased my Soprano yesterday, and after watching your video, you have answered and explained all of the features that I had no clue about. You are the best!!! Thank you!!!!!
Wow! I have owned my Suprano for 9 years. I didn't sew for quiet a few years and I learned SO much from this! Loved all the presser foot explanations. Some of this I knew...some I didn't. Thanks so much!!!
By far the best and most thorough tutorial on the Soprano. You’ve done an excellent job! I have this machine, but learned some new things that were confusing in the manual. Thank you so much!
This is an excellent tutorial video! I am new to sewing, and I am watching in preparation for the delivery of my new Soprano. I plan on revisiting this video when needed. I feel like I am in good hands with a great teacher. Thank you!
I ordered one and it is on the way! I had purchased the BL Brilliant and found I could not live without the pressure foot lift! LOL. You did a FANTASTIC job of covering all of the extras this machine has; had I seen this video prior to purchasing the Brilliant, I would have bought the SOPRANO first! Going to be a great travel/classes machine. Fourth Baby Lock for me!
This is the best video on this machine. The sewing Studio is my go to for my machines and help. Kathryn your AWESOME!!! Can you do this type of video on the Luminaire and Triumph?
Hi! Thank you so much for your feedback! Are you local to us? We would love to help you upgrade. If you aren't local, you can also purchase the machine on our website here: sewing.net/products/babylock-soprano-sewing-machine-blmsp
@sewingstudiofl Thank you for the kind offer. I am in Michigan. I will be talking to my local dealer quilt shop where I bought my Brilliant. I can do a trade in through them and upgrade to the Soprano. Best wishes and happy sewing. You have an excellent UA-cam channel.
Hi there, you can add subtitles to any video while you are watching it by going into the settings option on the bottom right of the video you are watching (the gear icon). We hope this helps!
Is there a chance you could send the quilt pattern behind on the wall for us to order, if we wish. Also, you are an EXCELLENT teacher - could follow and understand every aspect of the machine! Thank you so much!
No, you don't. I have had this machine for years, you just need to select the stitch number for button sewing (and use the presser foot for button sewing). You don't need to lower the feed dogs for any preprogrammed stitches, only for free motion quilting.

Please do a video writing words using the Soprano

@@sewingstudiofl They don't mean subtitles, they ask if you could do a video stitching words (i.e., "writing") with the soprano font stitches.
excellent resource!!

I love this machine, but I constantly have difficulty with the automatic threader!
Hi. Please do a video on the Baby lock Vesta. Have a nice day.
Awesome! I just purchased the soprano. One thing though, at start up it’s really loud, is that the way it suppose to sound?
Fabulous
Do you need to lower the feed dogs to sew on button?
Yes you do need to lower the feed dogs to sew a button on with your machine.
No, you don't. I have had this machine for years, you just need to select the stitch number for button sewing (and use the presser foot for button sewing). You don't need to lower the feed dogs for any preprogrammed stitches, only for free motion quilting.
Too bad this model is not available in Europe...
my autothreader quit working
Hi there, if you are local to us we would love to service your machine and get that needle threader working again.
