That is one of my favourites!
I love that sketch for so many reasons, but mostly it's to see if someone is worth speaking to. If a person is offended by that sketch then they have missed the point. They think it's sexist when it's absolutely the opposite.
There are some very good old-fashioned public information film parodies (with or without Mr Greyson and Mr Cholmondley-Warner) including Women for pity's sake Don't Drive. But the best one IMHO is the one about how babies are made.

Harry Enfield is a legend. Harry created many characters and made several comedy series on BBC in 1990's. Many of the sketches from Harry Enfield and Chums are available on the official BBC studios UA-cam channel. Also a lot of pirated sketches on other channels. Some of the best UK comedy ever made.

Very funny and Harry's South African accent was pretty spot on.
From a time when mocking white South Africans was acceptable (cf: Caroline Aherne as 'South African Beauty Consultant' and the 'Air Aifrikaans' cabin crew from the show 'Beehive', and the unforgettable Spitting Image song, "I've Never Met A Nice South African".)

British comedy of the 70s 80s and 90s was some of the best in the world and your facial expressions just go to show what great eras they were, well done Amanda

Harry Enfield is a comic genius. The Harry & Paul series, with Enfield and Paul Whitehouse, is hilarious.
Thank you for showing this as it's not one I've seen before. It's interesting that they chose to give the Pharmacist a South African accent but it goes with him being very forthright. It really is clever as we've all been there - going to the pharmacy to collect or buy something that is a little embarrassing and we don't want the world to know about it.
Such a pleasure to watch and listen to your reaction watching this great choice, Amanda Rea.

As far as I know this one skit took all day with something like 17 to 20 retakes as the crew couldn't keep it together when working with Harry
Harry Enfield has created a lot of really funny characters and put them in great situation, some of the best was with Kathy Burke as the Slobs, try them, there are quite a few on UA-cam, they will make you laugh.
Kevin & Perry, the one where Perry has just come back from an Oasis concert...trying to speak all northern like 😂.
Back in the 80s, I was in a doctor's waiting room when the elderly dragon of a receptionist answered the phone. After taking and repeating the caller's name and date of birth she said 'Yes Miss Jones, the blood test was positive. You are indeed pregnant'. We all just looked down, wide eyed.
The receptionists at my doctor's are lovely, but one of them has a very loud voice and probably tells everyone in the waiting room of patients' problems albeit unintentionally.

The funniest bit which you may have missed is the use of the Sth African English accent. Hence the yelling at Meena and the abrupt manner of speaking. All much satirised characteristics of Sth African (or Rhodesian now Zimbabwean) migrants to other commonwealth countries, like England, Australia, Canada etc. it’s probably not really obvious to Americans or non commonwealth countries

Extremely funny. I thought I was bad by pulling stunts, like putting condoms in old ladies trolleys round the supermarket and I have a lot of other stuff inside pool. The more shocked people are the happier I am😂😂😂. I think I ought to become a pharmacist and up my game

I can recommend Harry Enfield and Kathy Burke in the Wayne and Waynetta Slob sketches. Another comedy series you might like to watch is Little Britain, which is hilarious.

This was off his 2000 sky series. It totally bombed in England and had no paul or kathy. I quite liked half of it. It never got released in full on dvd for those who collect sitcoms and Sketch shows
Hello Amanda, i have mentioned most of the popular comedy shows of the 1970s & 80s in the to you & think you have heard about all 2 Ronnies Dad's Army love thy neighbor Monty Python Benny Hill, morcambe & wise, peter Kay Dave Allen faulty towers Jasper carrot only fools and horse's Alan Murphy, One comedy show i have just remembered is George and Mildred that was very funny in the 1970s
I think Harry Enfield made the chemist character a white South African Boer/Afrikaner is because they say what's on their mind and right in your face too regardless of who is around. Genius.

Kevin & Perry sketches are terrific. They even made a film called Kevin & Perry go large - the film was ok, but not as good as the small sketches.

From my perspective, I like to imagine an attractive female in all her natural glory, tattoos, for me take those imaginings away.
Each to their own but I think tattoos look awful, especially on women.

That was excellent. Harry Enfield has been on tv for a long time. Started with Stavros, a greek guy that worked on a burger van, and Loads'a'money, an arrogant chad that had loads of money. Happy bumming peeps.

Have a look at the 'apothecary' scene iin Up Pompeii. 'The Love Potion'. (Frankie Howard et al) Early 70s. The whole episode is pure harmless filth without the need for the bad language that modern comedians resort to.
I don’t think there is a compilation of all of them, but the “I saw you coming” sketches, also by Harry Enfield, are hilarious.
Watch him as 'Pik' - another South African accent series of sketches. Extremely funny and the accent is so clever.
