Idk if Tango reads vod's comments, but for Fresh Animation extensions to work properly, place them above the default Fresh Animation resource pack. So you get fewer issues like spiders having extra legs in your last video.
In regards to throttling the copper farm: You could possibly use the zombie equipment drops in a sort of flow rate sensor. You could push them into an array of chests and hoppers, and with a fixed outflow rate. Then hook the chests up to some comparators. The more the chests backup, the more lights you turn on, thus throttling the flow.
Heyo Tango you won't need a copper farm to build your steampunk base once hermitcraft updates to 1.21, you can just loot a trial chamber and dig up the floor. Spent some time exploring one in my world and got a shulker box of copper blocks and there would've still been more copper blocks left to mine ^^
Manual mining can't be done while sleeping. Otherwise yes ransacking a trial chamber or even finding a copper vein or 2 and you would be set for a very long time especially with the new recipe changes. But again you can't do that while you are sleeping and a whole copper block every 30sec-1min is pretty darn fantastic for physically doing nothing. There will always be some argument between manual and automated and in the end its just about efficiency and time required. Mining for 30hrs is boring but building a farm in 2hrs and running it over night for a 10hr session is 12hrs invested but yields 6x as much as the 30hrs of manual mining and smelting.
My unprompted $0.02: I think a reasonable compromise on the subject of chunk loaders is to have them switch on or off in sync with your factory running (when the factory switches off, allow some delay on turning off the loaders so all the minecarts can finish). Then, out of courtesy to the server/hermits you still only run the factory while you are online, making sure you switch it off before you go offline or go afk etc, but you'd at least be allowed to fly away for a second. Doc uses chunk loaders too but his are also switched on when needed and otherwise switched off
If we're talking about TekTopia and changing villager/villages, I think the biggest issue with villagers is that you have no incentive to make a village. The goal of any change should be to incentivize the creation of villages by making villagers more useful when placed in a village. Villagers are typically kidnapped and forced to work in 3 types of "prisons": breeders, iron farms, and trading halls. Adding extra conditions to villager breeders would make it nearly impossible for villagers to breed, and shouldn't be touched. Adding more conditions to iron golem spawning could easily making spawning golems too rare, depriving villages of essential protection. That leaves trading, which works out well as that's how you actually interact with villagers. Trading should be reworked so that trade offers are based on a villager's "comfort" level. Comfort level could be managed in a variety of ways: increasing if the villager is near profession specific blocks or mobs, like a tool smith near ores, a shepheard near a sheep, or a weaponsmith near an iron golem. Socialization should also be rewarded, with villagers having more comfort if they've recently had conversations, maybe adding a use to Nitwits by having their conversations add a lot of comfort. Maybe adding an "exercise" and a "rested" statistic as well. Additionally, making the curing bonus be a one time thing. Multiple curings for stacking buffs is ridiculous. Since all this incentivizes players to build villages, where villagers can roam and interact, the maximum numbers of trades should also be reworked and integrated into the comfort, as villages hold less villagers than in trading halls. Adding all this, and more, is what I believe would be best for fixing villages and villagers. If now, in order to make best use of villagers you needed to transform a village into something that is better, it'd balance trading and add "movement" to builds that Bdubs is always complaining about.

At first I was going to say that I didn't agree with the idea that breeding or golems shoudl be impacted by comfort, but actually thinking about it, I do agree on that. anything that would be natural behavior - breeding and golems - should be as minimally impacted by generation as possible, so the village doesn't just die out over time because generation was bad, but anything which directly and exclusively involves player interaction - trading - should absolutely require by player actions to function and improve. It's not news that trading halls are both ridiculous from the standpoint of the concept of villagers, but also it actively rewards making things like that and therefore actively discourages building a more natural villager environment. I do think that villagers should gain a bonus from (or like prioritize sleecting) work stations located near other similar work stations, to somewhat reward the idea of trading halls still. A guild, conceptually, or a co-op. About a potential item delivery rework in the factory: You could always leave the minecarts as decoration, or only remove them from parts of the system that are more critical. When it comes to the zig zag over the crafter modules, aligning an item with a chest, honey block, etc will allow that item to be picked up from either side. So you just align the input items once and then set up a straight waterstream.

You just need to make sure the items are alligned in such a way that it can touch both hoppers on north and south side. So basically the items travel in a straight line west. The water goes west only over the crafter and 2 of the hoppers of each module. Block everything else off with glass panes or top slabs. Should be an easy fix, wouldn't take more than a hour (or 2 depending on distractions aka Scar)

Lesson learned not to judge a Minecrafter by their niche 😅 I love how there are a lot of people who can watch redstone tutorials for hours and still only understand enough to copy the demos, but with Pearl you just say "T-flip-flop" and she goes "oh, yeah, okay, I know how I can use that for my actual design!" And how she basically designed her own variation on a dropper shuffler with a timed lock just 'cuz. ...alright, now I'm getting parasocially gushy and should stop talking about it 😅
the hybrid /lazy chunks are for view range rendering pre-loading mobs and assets - mobs exist but don't move an no processing is performed in a lazy chunk. they should remove them for player items out of render distance anyways. i think the ideal solution is to have a redstone/minecart scripting layer where it always exists and runs in the server and when a chunks loaded it just updates Redstone states from the script layer.
Movable entity forms should be in the script as well but that brings into question how the entity dropped timers work you would need to make sure its a time in chunk render timer if the desired behavior is to maintain that rule. you would need to have the script quasi hold some items but not all items. for instance, a cactus for breaking a minecart would need held in the script with its state but not every cactus in the game.
thinking about it I bet the entity render distance is not static for all items so as to smooth out the resource grabs that might otherwise cause stuttering.
Lol while im not one of those people that comment about it on every video but i do agree... TekTopia is an AMAZING modpack and would be so awesome if it was compatible with all the new MC mechanics. I played the ever loving cubic poops out of that mod and loved every single minute of it. In fact i was trying to sus out just how close villages could be without things getting wonky so i could build a massive medieval castle city where the different quadrants were seperate villages that specialize in specific tasks. I would be playing the role of not only "mayor" like usual but also "hauler" to transport resources between the farming quadrant and the others, or the mining quadrant to the other, etc etc... with only Schools and Guard Posts (well and town center but lets ignore that) being common buildings in all quadrants. I never did get around to even testing if it was possible to get villages close enough to work for my idea as i got uber distraced and really into my first settlement. Crazy builds and loads of interesting pathing/terraforming to force their dumb ai to go where i wanted them to go for esthetics, no one wants all their villagers cutting through Huhmphrys garden to get to work. Lol!
Self throttling copper farm mechanism: pressure plates on either side. I'm thinking make an item counter that only counts when the pressure plate is pressed that tries to count say 20 times in 5 seconds. if it successfully counts a thresshold of say 15 of 20 items, then zombies are frequently on the pressure plate, thus turn lamps on. if it doesn't reach the threshold, reset and try again.
I think you could save yourself a lot of trouble with desyncing if you used short pulse signals a bit less. The slime farm would be harder to break if you had waterlogged trapdoors instead of dispensers. Would make the waterflow fully depend on the signal instead of the dispensers acting as a single bit memory that can get out of sync.
I think the water kittens could be dumb with pathfinding, thinking they can crawl up to air from the slabs and stairs and stuff, since it’s not a “solid” wall and it’s just empty on the outside of the tank? That’s my guess, I don’t know the technical stuff my I recognize mob behavior from the silly things they do in my own worlds and other content. Some mobs just can’t with the slabs and stuff in weird cases I think. And they get like a cooldown when they kill lol, I’ve watched them ignore fish for a long time after killing a lot of stuff, then like on a clock they start killing fish again, it’s kinda funny to watch

Tango I do nutrition as a job. I don't know the details of your diet, but if the shake is supposed to be a meal, then add some fats to it (healthy fats, not seed oils and such). Maybe eat an avocado with it or animal meat with some fat in it along with the shake. It should make you less hungry because fats satiate hunger far better than other nutrients and it's essential in small amounts anyway
thoughts on the copper farm. Rather than a timer try a counter on reinforcements that run in? string in front of an observer above where the baby zombies go into the opening for the lava blocks? For throttling the spawns, 4 or 5 stacks of an item to count before it throttles by turning on your lights? It's not time based but should count off the zombies/drowned so and lets you just AFK without your game becoming a slideshow? Just an idea I might be really wrong
Too automate the lights tango was right about the gold pressure plate but wrong about the location. If there is a way to put the gold pressure plate on the 2 zombie inlets to the killing chamber and taking a reading from that to the lights.
Uhmm Tango, talk to Xisuma. He made a fish farm or 3 a few seasons ago that produced a pretty silly amount of fish. A few shulkers here and there could totally take care of the axolotol issue. Then again, removing slabs and stairs and other non full blocks would drastically reduce them getting stuck. It seems like their pathing AI is stupid and gets stuck then cant find a way out but when they go aggro on something that attacking AI figures out the path out. Axolotols and Dolphins have the most janky AI of all mobs, yes even worse than villagers. I really think it all stems from the difference between render and simulation distances, if its rendered but isnt simulated then its AI isnt active then they die(dolphins) or get stuck on partial blocks.
Could have avoided a shuffler if she just put an extra set of letters in the chest in alphabetical order. Have a sign say “grab two leave one in chest” only have three letters so if someone does grab the extra letter, it will just stay in inventory and notice they hve an extra letter. Only downside is you can’t shift click all the items

If she had the space for it, she could just do a hopper line, wash the letters over a line where A is closer to the chest and Z is furthest - filter each of them to one letter, lock all the hoppers until they all have the letters in, then unlock and have them feed down into a hopper line back into the chest, and just let the natural delay of travel time sort them.

I wish he would just use the chunk loaders and make them turn on and off with the factory. Have a timer so a few minutes after the factory stops the chunk loader stops. He could also put a timer on the whole factory to stop after a x amount of time without him triggering something (trip wires, sculk sensors) around the factory so he doesn''t have to worry about accidentally leaving it on when flys away or logs off. It seems like you could have it work without breaking randomly without creating the contact load on the server of leaving it chunk loaded and running all the time.

And I'm sure this may be in 90-95% of all cases correct, as they are often used mainly for convenience. So, I think Tango should add timed chunk loaders, but chances are slim that he will.

Bedrock is transparent, so if you put torches on top of it you should see the glow underneath, so you could make roads that way.
That explains the random glowing blobs showing on the bottom of the bedrock, must be lava glowing through.

the risk being having too much Redstone running but it shouldn't be a huge issue unless you are updating too much on a visual chunk layers.
that said it should just throttle the update distance to keep a minimum frame count.

Lol while im not one of those people that comment about it on every video but i do agree... TekTopia is an AMAZING modpack and would be so awesome if it was compatible with all the new MC mechanics. I played the ever loving cubic poops out of that mod and loved every single minute of it. In fact i was trying to sus out just how close villages could be without things getting wonky so i could build a massive medieval castle city where the different quadrants were seperate villages that specialize in specific tasks. I would be playing the role of not only "mayor" like usual but also "hauler" to transport resources between the farming quadrant and the others, or the mining quadrant to the other, etc etc... with only Schools and Guard Posts (well and town center but lets ignore that) being common buildings in all quadrants.
I never did get around to even testing if it was possible to get villages close enough to work for my idea as i got uber distraced and really into my first settlement. Crazy builds and loads of interesting pathing/terraforming to force their dumb ai to go where i wanted them to go for esthetics, no one wants all their villagers cutting through Huhmphrys garden to get to work. Lol!
Self throttling copper farm mechanism: pressure plates on either side. I'm thinking make an item counter that only counts when the pressure plate is pressed that tries to count say 20 times in 5 seconds. if it successfully counts a thresshold of say 15 of 20 items, then zombies are frequently on the pressure plate, thus turn lamps on. if it doesn't reach the threshold, reset and try again.
Pretty interesting watching you mess with campfire mechanics. Placing 2 blocks on top of a campfire on Bedrock completely stops smoke particles.
I think you could save yourself a lot of trouble with desyncing if you used short pulse signals a bit less. The slime farm would be harder to break if you had waterlogged trapdoors instead of dispensers. Would make the waterflow fully depend on the signal instead of the dispensers acting as a single bit memory that can get out of sync.
I think the water kittens could be dumb with pathfinding, thinking they can crawl up to air from the slabs and stairs and stuff, since it’s not a “solid” wall and it’s just empty on the outside of the tank? That’s my guess, I don’t know the technical stuff my I recognize mob behavior from the silly things they do in my own worlds and other content. Some mobs just can’t with the slabs and stuff in weird cases I think.
And they get like a cooldown when they kill lol, I’ve watched them ignore fish for a long time after killing a lot of stuff, then like on a clock they start killing fish again, it’s kinda funny to watch

Tango I do nutrition as a job. I don't know the details of your diet, but if the shake is supposed to be a meal, then add some fats to it (healthy fats, not seed oils and such). Maybe eat an avocado with it or animal meat with some fat in it along with the shake. It should make you less hungry because fats satiate hunger far better than other nutrients and it's essential in small amounts anyway

Rather than a timer try a counter on reinforcements that run in? string in front of an observer above where the baby zombies go into the opening for the lava blocks? For throttling the spawns, 4 or 5 stacks of an item to count before it throttles by turning on your lights? It's not time based but should count off the zombies/drowned so and lets you just AFK without your game becoming a slideshow?

Too automate the lights tango was right about the gold pressure plate but wrong about the location. If there is a way to put the gold pressure plate on the 2 zombie inlets to the killing chamber and taking a reading from that to the lights.
Uhmm Tango, talk to Xisuma. He made a fish farm or 3 a few seasons ago that produced a pretty silly amount of fish. A few shulkers here and there could totally take care of the axolotol issue.
Then again, removing slabs and stairs and other non full blocks would drastically reduce them getting stuck. It seems like their pathing AI is stupid and gets stuck then cant find a way out but when they go aggro on something that attacking AI figures out the path out. Axolotols and Dolphins have the most janky AI of all mobs, yes even worse than villagers. I really think it all stems from the difference between render and simulation distances, if its rendered but isnt simulated then its AI isnt active then they die(dolphins) or get stuck on partial blocks.

Could have avoided a shuffler if she just put an extra set of letters in the chest in alphabetical order. Have a sign say “grab two leave one in chest” only have three letters so if someone does grab the extra letter, it will just stay in inventory and notice they hve an extra letter. Only downside is you can’t shift click all the items
That adds more instructions for Hermits and we all know how well they follow instructions…

If she had the space for it, she could just do a hopper line, wash the letters over a line where A is closer to the chest and Z is furthest - filter each of them to one letter, lock all the hoppers until they all have the letters in, then unlock and have them feed down into a hopper line back into the chest, and just let the natural delay of travel time sort them.

I wish he would just use the chunk loaders and make them turn on and off with the factory. Have a timer so a few minutes after the factory stops the chunk loader stops. He could also put a timer on the whole factory to stop after a x amount of time without him triggering something (trip wires, sculk sensors) around the factory so he doesn''t have to worry about accidentally leaving it on when flys away or logs off. It seems like you could have it work without breaking randomly without creating the contact load on the server of leaving it chunk loaded and running all the time.

The thing is, Tango is in general against chunk loaders. And I'm sure this may be in 90-95% of all cases correct, as they are often used mainly for convenience. Now, as he has one of the exception were a responsible use of chunk loading would be absolutley fine, he has a bit of a problem to change his oppinion. So, I think Tango should add timed chunk loaders, but chances are slim that he will.
