Well just to make it funnier for you, Saul went into the cave to pee😂 that's what "covering his feet" meant. Also the whole scheme with Jonathan shooting the arrow was completely pointless because Jonathan and David meet up right there anyway. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I am restoring an old car from 1972 by AMC called a Javelin. I like to picture that Saul is lobbing full-size 70s coupes at David anytime they call that out ha ha.
Imagining Saul gets in a bad mood and grabs a javelin, sitting in his chair, bidding a servant, "go get David"

I prefer to think that Saul is so often throwing javelins in a rage… that some armorer is just constantly keeping Saul supplied with slightly crooked or badly weighted javelins that won’t throw correctly. For the good of the courtiers and Saul’s family.
What if they were purposefully damaging the javelins to affect the aerodynamics so that Saul woykd be less likely to hit anyone.
The reason I believe every word of this story verbatim is because it's too unbelievable for it not to be true, like most historical events.

I know it was just recapped here but the sling is an absolutely cracked weapon and David is legendary with it because of his God given abilities with it. Try slinging, it’s actually amazing how fast you can throw rocks
I saw a guy that theorized he used a staff sling which is exactly what is sounds like. They apparently were a common tool for shepards because it could be a normal sling or attached to the staff and sling bigger rocks much harder.

Just finished reading Narnia for the first time since I was a kid! Definitely get far more out of it! Eustace becoming a dragon and the Underworld Witch hypnotizing everyone are allegories that I didn’t pick up on at all at 10 years old! Definitely reread them! Also, the Professor’s Trilemma Argument is a classic Lewis argument for the divinity of Jesus! Lewis was obvious in some areas, but he was very subtle in others! You can pull things out of the stories as a kid and new things show through as an adult!

About the Solomon key thing. I do not believe for one second that King Solomon would use demons to build the temple. The temple was built by man, by the God-given abilities that they had. Highlight God-given abilities. Read about the making of the ark of the covenant and the tabernacle. It is clear that God has given us the ability to be craftsmen and artists to his glory.

Thanks for answering my question at the end there. I have complete faith in God’s judgment of those people but that’s kind of hard to expand to an atheist or agnostic, especially since I’ve tried to make sure he’s double checking what I say with the actual scripture. I’ve seen a lot of people theorize Saul had some sort of issue and that’s something I could definitely see after reading Samuel so that’s why I went there for an example. Thanks for the input. In the Quran it mentions how prophet Solomon was given the ability of subjugating the devils/jinn to build for him as a gift and favour from God himself. A prophet of God would never commit idolatry or sorcery, they are free from such acts.
They tried to make this story into a show. I can't remember the name of it but it was based in a sort of future sci-fi Brave new world type of setting iirc. It lasted only one season tho

God would not put angels to rule over people and be worshiped because God is the only one who is to be worshiped. He would not put angels in a position to be worshiped. Maybe demons were the other “gods” in the Bible. But I think it’s more likely that the idols people built never had any power at all, not even demonic power.

Ok fellas, a couple of breif complaints:
1. EVERYONE'S audio is far too quiet.
I'm able to turn it up loud enough to hear clearly, but when the ads come in, they're like 200% louder than your actual content and it's deafening (especially considering i have to listen via headphones).
This leads me to complaint #2:
PLEASE do something about the UA-cam ads. I understand the need to monetize the channel, but ad breaks every 10 minutes makes it extremely difficult to listen to/watch the video.
I understand there's some extra work required to limit the number of YT ads and/or space them out more, but I'm 1000% certain every single one of your subscribers/followers will appreciate the effort.

UA-camrs no longer have control over ads.
Channels that aren't even monetized will still have ads play on their videos.
They can do nothing about the ads.
Ublock origin is your friend.
UA-cam is extremely inconsistent and opaque when it comes to ads. They're only supposed to show about a third of the time, so you theoretically should only see them every half hour. Sometimes UA-cam goes overboard. We can try setting them to 15 minute intervals, but all UA-cam lets us do is choose the number of possible slots and times.

1:40:52 ish i believe (as a random christian dude on the internet) that in the cases of those "evil men" like Saul were being used or assisted by god for their purpose, but without god they reverted back to their original state. God needing them temporarily wiped their slate clean and casting out their natural sins. Without God's direct intervention their faith is not strong enough and or they are simply not really following Christ in their hearts, they are open to the same evils that tempted them before. Nobody is born evil, and if one has become it in life, there is always a second chance in Christ.

Not a Calvinist, and I disagree with the doctrine for mostly the same reasons, but you guys weren’t quite fair with what they actually believe. Calvinism has a different definition of “sovereignty” than most other denominations. All believe that God is totally sovereign. For the Calvinist, that means that God has control of everything and for the rest of us, it means that God has power and authority over everything, yet leaves space for us to choose.
And “Calvinist” isnt really a denomination, what you’re looking for is Reformed church or a large percentage of the global Baptist church, Presbyterians, and a few others. That’s where Calvinists are.
Not trying to “uhm ackshually”, but I think this was important.

The Calvinism debate falls upon if you believe faith is a work or not.
If faith is a work than you did something to save yourself from sin, and that’s impossible therefore your faith had to be given to you by God.
If faith is not a work, then you can have faith without your works saving you.
The fact that the salvation faith is literally just recognizing that you need God’s Grace because you can in fact do nothing to save yourself.

Listening to this podcast. I'm really confused with what the boys have basically said about Catholics. Cause the Catholic church I use to go to had more of a Christian take on the Bible and its passages. Mind you I haven't been to church for over a decade yet I do still pray and hold my beliefs but don't feel that church is as important as it use to be due to the way some chirchs have gone with people I know. I know its blasphemy. But with some people at the two ones I have been to is why I dont go anymore. Yet pray almost every night
If you are a Catholic, then you do not go to Mass primarily for teaching. The Mass is done primarily for communion, in which we partake of the actual body and blood of Christ.
I would heavily recommend you start going to Mass again even if you disagree with the homilies.

You guys have a terrible understanding of Catholicism and, it seems, really anyone who disagree with you theologically. I would recommend you try to understand Catholic beliefs a bit better. I've heard the book 'Why We're Catholic' by Trent Horn is a great book to begin with.
The definition you guys give for Calvinism is vastly incorrect. I understand why that is what you have deduced based on the majority of people who use that term. But proper Calvinism is very biblical and does indeed include free will. Hit me up with any questions.
