The only show with a more sporadic schedule than the actual books of the bible.
My guys love doing episodes during presidential debates
Well this is certainly more productive than anything that could be said in the debate
37:54 my favorite Bible verse is when Jacob said “Give me what I’m owed for my work” and Laban was all like “Äæąǔħūġľĩķę you being around”
For all the late comers, the stream starts at 2:46. Have a blessed day.
Thanks bro! 👍
❤
Honestly "work hard labor for 7 years and get a beautiful wife, guaranteed" might be a better dating strategy than using dating apps and asking for numbers at the bar
Endntured servitude looks good in comparison cause the modern actions you've stated are for hookups; not for love or marriage
1:20:36 "Oh right, the poison. the poison for Kuzco. The poison chosen specifically to kill Kuzco. Kuzco's poison."
As a fellow Baptist who is in the South, we also use Welches grape juice (my dads the pastor, I have often had to buy it before services lol)
I had a friend who was Lutheran but I grew up Fundamentalist Baptist. Apparently grape juice for communion and baptism.not.having much importance is strange. And by importance I mean that we don't believe baptism seals or has anything to do with salvation.
Oh, and I'm in California and Baptist.
Baptist in the Midwest: grape juice. I don't know if it's specifically Welch's though
30:07 tall goth women are wendigoon’s Supernatural
Awe man I keep missing these. This show is the only thing I look forward too.
Every rewatch helps us AND them, no worries mate!
I also keep missing them lol, but they update so sporadically it can’t really be helped 😂😅
If I’m remembering correctly, Benjamin is also biologically Rachel‘s son.
That’s the main reason why during the whole Joseph story ark in Egypt, Jacob was so against Benjamin going with them.
Was going to comment this but see you already have. Little facts like this are important for the story later. Also Rachel died when Benjamin was born thus Jacob was very attached with Joseph and Benjamin. They are all he had left of Rachel.
When you say it was some random dude out of the wilderness that comes up and wrestles him I like to imagine it as Macho Man Randy Savage
Heretical? Probably. Hilarious? Definitely. I like to think The Good Lord has a sense of humor with stuff like that.
BONESAW IS READDYYYYYY
*dislocates Jacob's hip*
SNAP INTO A SLIM JIM!
I grew up in a Church of Christ in ohio. We used grape juice.
Our church position on alcohol (and other things) was, it may not be a sin, but you have to consider if your actions might lead others to stumble.
1 corinthians 8:11-13 if something isn't explicitly or stablished beyond a reasonable doubt as sin i don't like to force others to abide by it, i just don't do it and if i feel that my action may lead others to sin or they feel uncomforted by it i don't do it in front of them.
Didn't expect to see another member of the Church of Christ 👋
This podcast is what got me back into the faith in a very depressed and paranoid time last year. I love your research and actually trying to place these things in a historical timeline. God bless you boys
God wins the submission via inside heel hook despite smooth Jacob’s greasing before the match
It was just Nick, the fat electrician, in just a white beater and nothing else. That's who God sent at Jacob to wrestle.
First WWE match in history
Nope Kane pulls a primitive version of hitting his opponent over the head with chair. Only this time it was a rock and Kane killed Able

@@pdg3513Abraham wasn't setting Issac on the altar for ritual sacrifice, it was so that he could get on the 18ft steel ladder and elbow drop him through the altar like a folding table
I like to think it opened with a clothesline
When I was in religious education in elementary school they taught us about David Vs Goliath and the entire time I could only think of "ahh cool it's like Rey Mysterio vs the Big Show, I understand this now"
I found Wendigoon through his No country for old me movie breakdown and found The lorelodge only enough through the wendigo video. I have been out of the church for nearly 30 years and this podcast and working with a preacher who hasn't tried to force his ideas upon me and has accepted me as i am in a very nonjudgmental way has brought me back to wanting to be a part of the church again thank you for all you do and the work you put into the videos and podcasts
Sent this to my Dad. Hope he enjoys as much as me and is something we can discuss.
I am a Baptist from southern PA and we use the grape juice also
New weird Bible let’s fucking gooooooo
Was hoping for a "trade offer" joke about the soup and the birth right.
Or maybe Aiden as trump saying "it was the worst trade deal in the history of trade deals"
I go to southern pentecostal church and we use grape juice instead of wine too even though we don't think it's bad to drink lol
Nice stream, thx for doing this podcast even if it’s once a month
The Measage version is SPECIFICALLY mentioned to us as teachers as one NOT TO USE
The angel of God really said Power Word: Dislocate
I watch all your channels (Aiden, Aiden, and Isaiah) but this is by far my favorite thing you do. I’m Catholic and teach math at a Catholic Middle School and when I retell my students stories from the Bible I basically mimic how you tell it. The kids are so enthralled and can connect so much more. Thank you for the “modern” take on the Bible.
And Veggietales does indeed SLAP.
These streams have provided some of the best laughs I've ever had, it's a shame this podcast isn't more popular. You're doing the Lord's work, and being absolutely hilarious while you're at it!
Put in my superchat, and now I’m back to actually watch the stream!
Found this through TimCast finally caught up with all the episodes can't wait for what's to come!
I look forward to watching these as much as the younger me looked forward to new Power Rangers episodes
Psalms 38:7 is pretty good verse
I'm halfway through house of leaves and this couldn't have come at a better time (iykyk)
YAS PRAISE THE LORD🎉
Hey guys love the show, was wondering if/when will it be put on audio platforms? I rarely catch the streams and would love to be able to listen to them when I’m at work. Keep up the awesome content and I hope this can become a more regular thing!
"I hope the husky calms down someday" nope fellow husky owner it doesn't happen lol😅
“We are gonna keep this to a solid hour and a half or so”
Please keep making these! They are amazing!
So happy yall did a podcast on this story. Thank you
52:00 Why is it when they explain this random figure jumping out of the trees to fight Jacob I think of Peter Griffin fighting the chicken man.
I watch very little video but I listen alot while I work. Like old fashioned Radio (Greek for the Voice of God.
I attend a Baptist church in Southern California and we use grapes and unleaven bread. Our Pastor likes the grapes because it symbolizes Christ’s skin being pierced with the nails and spear
Keep in mind that Abraham pimped out his wife to King Abimelech "because she was too beautiful," so much so that he would kill Abraham for her if he knew she was Abraham's wife. She was in her 90's, he was over 100. So they go into the nation and settle down, claiming to be brother and sister. Abimelech then gets a dream from God, telling him she's married and that he will die if he doesn't relinquish her to her husband, which he quickly does.
This is the wild stuff that they don't teach in Sunday school. It's also crazy to think that this was within 10 generations of Noah. It's fascinating.
Edit: It gets wilder. The above was the second time he did something similar, in Genesis 20. He also did the same thing about 24 years prior, that time involving the Pharaoh of Egypt.
Wasn’t it the Pharaoh of Egypt who fell in love with Sarah and had the dream? I could be wrong I haven’t read Genesis in awhile.
@@Toviyah1305 Oh my goodness, it actually happened twice. Once in Genesis 12 with the Pharaoh, and again in Genesis 20 with Abimelech. The man pimped his wife out on two separate occasions, once when she was in her late 60s, and again when she was 90.
@@scubajho classic Abram
Isaac did the same thing with Rebekah, too. In Genesis 26:7. 🤦🏼♀️ Like father, like son.
At age 11, when I was Baptized as a Baptist. The man that Baptized me told me the original Tora was originally sung in songs. That's the first 5 books of the Bible.
Violence within any orthodoxy has always been an issue, including during the Protestant refermation. Once any group of Believers reaches a certain size, disagreements within the faithful have turned bloody. Saying you follow something & practicing it are different things, when you're scared.
Nice new weird bible episode. It's such a shame these don't get many views
You two should absolutely do an episode on the book of Jonah. It's an absolutely crazy story and honestly one of my favorite books of the Bible... and Job.
We are so back!

I grew up in the Methodist church in Tennessee, and we also always had Welch's grape juice.
Thank you

I wish they had looked up how the Message butchered the Lord's Prayer.
The Message: Reveal yourself, God!
Also The Message: you can anything you want!
Leah having 'tender eyes' means she cried a lot, meaning she was emotionally troubled. Something that gets confirmed through her kids' names.
Just came here from the other Lore Lodge Livestream (haha alliteration) and My Lord, this is exactly what I needed to get my blood pressure down lmao
I put that stream to have as background when I go to bed but damn was I getting mad at the amount of talking over others that was happening. I guess I'll fall asleep to this then actually listen to it at work tomorrow
Anyone else having issue where all vids not appearing on the channel?
All the videos that have come out since they started streaming on this channel are under the live category instead of the video category because they were live streamed
Lmk if that helps
Wonderful stuff as always. Very much looking forward to the Unsubscribe episode. Those guys need an occasional checkup to make sure they aren't getting too silly.
Laban is unusually confident that Jacob won't kill him
What classes/training have you had? I’m starting listening from episode 1, and you talk about the proper translation from the Hebrew and the incorrect translation into Latin. You seem to have seminary level understanding.
Also, the level of investigative research on lore lodge surpasses what network news is able to conduct.
Granted, you seem to have perhaps a more focused subject that reporting breaking news, but every episode you put out is very informative.
And entertaining.
Keep up the excellent work!
I can't believe I missed this stream! I had a question about Jacob's ladder.
When I read the appissles of paul, I feel like I'm reading someone else's mail
Have y'all ever read the Hawaiin Pidgin version of the NT? "Da Jesus Book"?
Announcer 1: looks like Jacob is trying to get away!
Announcer 2: oh my god, here comes YHVH off the top rung with a steel chair!
Announcer 1: YHVH is going for his finisher, the Holy Piledriver.

Thanks 8060
Thank you soon much!!!!
Out of curiosity personal opinions on Ammon Hillman?
Thanks!
Modern Catholicism tends leas towards Papism and more Marianism, which a LOT of other denominations call Idolatry
Im Catholic BTW and teach in a Catohlic school
When I read the appissles of paul, I feel like I'm reading someone else's mail.
Classic bowl of soup debacle
My church uses grape juice, too, but we are not really Baptist
Most of the denominations of churches I have been to use grape juice. I’m guessing it’s a moral point so people under 21 aren’t conflicted.
The wine thing. Jesus drank real wine. John 2:10 NASB1995
[10] and *said to him, “Every man serves the good wine first, and when the people have drunk freely, then he serves the poorer wine; but you have kept the good wine until now.” I'm a recovering alcoholic. I know from experience, the reason they could tell that wine was better is because they already had plenty of WINE (not grape juice) to drink. They know that the wine Jesus made was stronger than what they were already drinking. Yes. Jesus gave people who were already drinking stronger wine. That's all I have to say.
Thank you. The gymnastics people do to get around this verse make me have very un-Christian thoughts. 😅
Growing up baptist i have found "go ahead and avoid it altogether since it may cause a problem in the future" as a way of thinking. In the past this has applied to dancing and playing cards, which are in no way a sin.
I also noticed a ton of older people who subscribe to this came from or experienced alcohol destroy either their family or a friends family so that is actually their motivation for this theology, not the bible.
man i keep on missing these livestreams.
Somebody needs to animate this fight in the Baki art style please 💀
I can attest to the grape juice thing in the southern baptist tradition here in Missouri in regards to communion. Been raised baptist and there is a very strong aversion in the older generation to any type of drinking. The younger generation is not averse to it they just believe that alcohol can lead to sin if one gets drunk.
Please come back sirs i need more earth lore

Y'all gotta check out the new series "The Promised Land"; It's Exodus meets The Office!😂
I was raised Lutheran and we had real wine. I now go to a nondenominational (mostly baptist) church that does the grape juice thing. Personally I prefer the wine route, however I understand why the grape juice is used instead based on the cultural alcohol problem the USA has. The church does not want to cause one of their members to stumble if that member has struggled with alcohol use in the past.
That's a very good point I didn't consider when asking myself the question of wine vs. grape juice.
Loved this! How can I contact you guys? I have a Bible question
Chiming in on 28:00 . Most Baptist take the Zwingli approach which says that the bread and wine are just symbols. Some churches would go as far as grape juice and a loaf of bread. Most anti wine Baptist beliefs seem to come from the prohibition.
More dunking on hilariously bad translations please!
Dang it missed it again
Glad you're here now 🙌🏼
Kane is sassy the Sasquatch confirmed?
Hey I wasn't able to ask a question during the stream. If you could answer, I would appreciate it.
Isaiah, when did you learn to speak martian?
Is there a petition to decare "The Message" translation heretical? Because I now want to sign it after hearing it's verson of John 3:16.
Oh, and here’s the Lord’s prayer in ✨the message✨(it’s heresy):
“Our Father in heaven,
Reveal who you are.
Set the world right;
Do what’s best-
as above, so below.
Keep us alive with three square meals.
Keep us forgiven with you and forgiving others.
Keep us safe from ourselves and the Devil.
You’re in charge!
You can do anything you want!
You’re ablaze in beauty!
Yes. Yes. Yes.”

Can someone tell me what episode the gourd is first mentioned in? I have watched every single episode and I cannot find the origin lol
It's the episode on Wendigang
Thanks for solving the mystery 😂
The guy who wrote The Message did my commencement speech in 2010. He was an old-ish man. Def a Boomer. I’m pretty sure he wrote it in the 70s or early 80s.
My bad. I just looked it up and guess he wrote it in the early 90s. He’s also deceased, so RIP you glorious lunatic.
What the last guy said, Come back pwease 👉 👈
The message be like: hello fellow kids
Benjamin is Rachel’s son also right?
The message is worse than what I did in my confirmation class when we had to translate Bible verses into text speak (like lol, brb, omg)
That sounds absolutely cursed, I must see an example
1:42:ish…prayer is not a sacrament, Catholics don’t teach that. You might be thinking of confession or conflating teaching about the Real Presence. Uniform prayers are designed to avoid heresy, but you can just free flow too.
may I interest you in New Living Translation? I think it blends the best of both sides quite well
❤️
Doesnt have to be on this chanel but yall do something with the dead sea scrolls
What the second to last guy said, come back pwease 👉👈
Bro, Isaiah said he would proclaim Kayla as a Godess while he burned at the stake for it. Man's roasting Jacob for pulling weeds for 7 years.
😂 just having a laugh
