The KO segment, with Tama where KO was bleeding even though it was a five minute segment is still better than a two hour show on AEW

Aew matches mean nothing most of the time. Pro wrestling/sports entertainment is story and character based. Workrate matters less in a pre determined sport. Stoylines sell. Just like a good plot in a movie. Good actors with a bad plot = flop

I watched the first AEW Double or Nothing. It was incredible.
After Dynamite started airing in October, i gave them a few chances. Every time i would tune in i would hear shots at WWE. i stopped watching.
2024- The night after AEW Revolution. I gave it another shot. They hooked me for the first few weeks. It was genuinely really good TV. Then the shots happen again. They aired the Punk footage, then Ospreay responds to Triple H, now TK saying this during draft week. I'm just over it. I gave it a fair shot.
OK that Tony Khan and elite segment was not good.. Tony can't sell a move to save his life the young bucks moves and acting look so fake it was a dumpster fire.

It also separates the fans that want to like both. I feel when Cody left we saw how much he actually put into AEW.

I'll be honest I turned it off every time he came out when he had the midcard title, I kinda just saw him as someone that couldn't make it in WWE so he went a started a company with his friends so he could hold a title. When he did that first promo on raw I was actually surprised at how good it was because I thought he was awful in AEW. Still not a massive fan but got a lot more respect for him now going back and proving himself at the top!
I liked that TK kept the neckbrace, but the Harvey Weinstein comment was definitely over the top

2023 failed to act as a boss,
2024 failed to promote his show and got Jinder over
2024 aired the footage of him not being a boss
And were still in the same year and hes making Rash Generalizations about a company which yes has a history however thats sorta finally being dealt with, and tony puts his foot in it less than 24 hours after having a storyline people praised out of a segment people didnt want to see happen

Tony thinks taking shots at WWE and mentioning the very dark past of the previous guy in charge is gonna change the ratings game and it’s not he’s just a line snorter who think he can run a wrestling promotion but in reality he’s a shindy booker with daddy’s money keeping him afloat and the ending of that segment proved it when his dad came into the ring

It’s crazy how TK is the owner of AEW and he had to go out and say shit like this for reactions. I don’t think HHH would even come out and say these things against the AEW product as a business professional. It doesn’t look professional at all for what TK said as a CEO/Owner for a wrestling company. I’m sure a lot of crazy fanatics praised Tk on it but the other regular wrestling fans are thinking “WHAT THE FUG” Tony lol 😂
Only thing hunter has said bad about AEW itself is that it is a pisssant company which at the time it was being a thing for only 3 months at the time of dxs hof induction when he told Billy Gunn “he will buy the pissant company you work for just to fire you again” so in reality even then not even a shot at AEW but more of a shot at Billy Gunn.
Tony is a clown and runs a circus. Instead of focusing on the entirety of what makes wrestling compelling to watch he only sees value in spotfest wrestling...rarely does he allow his talent to tell good stories or build their characters outside the ring. It seems he has one vision for his company and does not see much value in anything other than pleasing Dave Meltzer and his edgy internet fanbase, the whole 25 of them...
WWE never even acknowledged AEW at all until Tony shit posting on twitter called HBK and HHH bald assholes. Thus poking the bear and since that every so often they take jabs at AEW because of that. Everything AEW has brought on itself because of TK.

I recently got into an argument with a friend of mine about AEW and I brought up the fact that Tony Kahn seriously needs some help, and my friend basically said "That's what everyone says when it comes to what AEW needs to fix in order to be better!" like I'm the one in the wrong for bringing it up... but it's true.
Tony is losing it in front of everyone. This man SIMPLY CANNOT face criticism and has to resort to, quite frankly, petty measures in order to stay relevant and maintain competition. Calling WWE "the Harvey Weinstein of pro wrestling" is simply untrue. Now, apply that to Vince McMahon and some of his corporate yes men? Yeah, sure, absolutely, but certainly not the company as a whole. WWE has shown at length it can change and put out great shows in the past several months. While AEW's PPVs have been great thus far, it has struggled weekly. TK seriously needs to step down and let someone else take charge. He's not all mentally there anymore. It seems like he's saying all this stuff for the media attention and it is backfiring like crazy, making him and AEW look like a clown show.
Tony is a insecure teenager that hasn't faced adversity a day in his life...not really a big surprise he struggles with outside perception. Than add in a minor (turning major) "god-complex" with all his dedication to ehm...baking soda, and yeah that's a pretty solid blueprint to run your daddies Ferrari 300 m/hr into a brick wall.
Aew or any other wrestling company could be more successful if they all stop mentioning the WWE. Companys dont learn

This same thing is what helped kill WCW. Does everyone remember WCW announcing live that Mick Foley had won the WWF Championship and that there was no reason to watch? A million people instantly change the channel and never change it back to WCW again.

I am so over Con. I loved AEW the first 2 years but now I just cannot stand the company mainly because of its management. Still love Toni, Joe, Thunder Rosa and others but if I want to hear about WWE I will just watch WWE. Also, you lose the moral highground when you employ Jericho, Darby and Ric freaking Flair of all people.
The best thing for Tony Khan would be to get off AEW TV for awhile, and then any promotional appearances for his company, keep it positive and focus on what they are doing.
I know Wrestling is hotter than ever in a sense, but also WWE may have peaked with Wrestlemania 40 and the WWE bubble may be bursting sooner than later.
A WWE vs AEW 1 time a year PPV. Would be really cool. Split the profits!

Honestly iwatched AEW regularly for a while, orange cassidy was interesting fir about five minutes, thenit got old real fast then there was brit baker, her and ruby riot did a great promo when riot signed. Brit, Jericho, ambrose kept me watching for a while but then i had less time to watch and WWE started getting more interesting especially with the bloodline storyline, then i tuned in for punk joining but quickly left again because they didnt have a clue what to do with him. Putting him in matches that made no sense and only really damaged both parties. He looked awful because he was rusty and the guys he was against were still green or he just buried people on arrival. Daniel bryan, adam cole, punk, Paige, jericho, ambrose, heck even samoa joe, all wrestlers i watched WWE or TNA for and even NXT but i cant make it through an AEW show because all they ever do is take shots at WWE and every match feels the same. Honestly it feels like they decided to copy WcW and skipped the good oarts and went straight to what put them out of business!

If I didn't know about AEW by year one than I would probably assume all these mentions are cause Tony Khan loves WWE and wants it to be friendly competition. But apparently not and he dies so often it makes it seem like someone from WWE likely Triple H killed Tony Khan's puppy he just got. The only ways it should be fine for AEW to mention WWE is by either Max Caster raps or storyline stuff between 2 wrestlers who have history in WWE. Sure it was cool back then but that was cause WWE wasn't doing great now it just seems like notice me sempi. I agree Matt i dont aprove of the jabs but triple h makes far less. With AEW in the beginning the cody smashing the throne was enough it sent the message it was a good use but this week to week is crap. And while the angle is good this should havr been the kinds of stories they did right along. I am not a fan of Jack Perry i think hes a rude jerk and the bucks are overrated but are decent wrestlers. So far Kenny Omega is the one with the best outlook. Regardless how u feel about the CM Punk stuff its time to drop it. Also Kahn needs acting lessons u dont move your head in neck brace takes you right out of the spot plus him nodding while Perry talked to him was terrible. But ya the constent pot shots is why i stopped liking TNA like u said show me your better with your matchs and content dont worry what your opposition is doing. And dont get me started on Daxs comments blaming us saying were against him and his family wrong take to have i dont hate anyone accept maybe Perry. AEW has some fantastic talent and some great matches. But less spots to many getting hurt more story telling like this angle cool match types ect. However was terrible with money and paying his talent. Kahn has the cash and kindness but its his leadership skills that need help.
I love that TK is trying to keep Kayfabe alive but that ship has sailed he has the Young Bucks on his show and they kill Kayfabe every chance they get. Also he fired Punk for yelling at him but ya know The Bootleg Elite are going to get off free huh.

I enjoyed AEW when they first came on the scene because it was different. Once they started hiring every WWE stalwart available, I stopped watching it. It became TNA all over again.
Yup. It just became a depository for wrestlers that either got cut loose or just didn't want to work as much.
