Bolton Food & Drink Festival - Ambient 4K video - Slow Scenes UK

Welcome to the Bolton Food Festival! This event has been held annually since 2006 and is one of the largest events of its kind in the world! There's almost every type of cuisine here and virtually every kind of food you can think of, there really is something for everyone. This video looks at Le Mans Crescent which is named after the city of Le Mans in Northern France with which Bolton is twinned. Le Mans is well known for its 24 hour motor race. The main building is the Bolton Museum and Art Gallery which opened in 1852. The museum was renovated in 2019 to include a new Egyptology area, one of the biggest outside Egypt itself. The building also houses Bolton Central Library. In 2022 the library closed for renovations. The library was set to reopen in August 2023, but at the time of recording the library remained closed. The refurbished library finally reopened in January 2024. Le Mans Crescent has also been used as a filming location for major TV shows like Peaky Blinders and A Gentleman in Moscow, as well as other high profile productions. This has led Bolton to earn the nickname 'Hollywood of the North'!
