That project was a win without measure! I just spent a week teaching my Son a few new skills (and learning a few things from him) on a project using mostly scrap...the satisfaction is beyond words🥰

I'm really enjoying the regular postings! The meals you guys eat look absolutely delicious, too! I love that the boys are getting to learn welding. That's something that obviously comes in handy in life! I like the way Buggy helps with planting the seeds. If one seed is good, 20 is better! LOL!
I love the way she cooks and not gain weight after having the baby. Good eating habits... making sure kids eat hearty!
You guys need to wear welding gloves!
@@stephencoppernoll4223 yes, skin damage is as bad as tropical sun if no gloves on. Also danger of metal spark embedding under skin. Protective equipment should be provided and all boys told to wear it.
Getting taught a skill has to include the full safety aspect, even if just in a 'home' environment.
Adorable how careful buggy is putting one seed at a time in the planters! Great helper! Learns so quickly!
You not only got a salt lick holder but a video. I have to admit I would have liked to see the boys making them. That video with you teaching the boys to weld reminded me of my father teaching me.

Watching you and Buggy out planting warmed my heart, Meg. It reminded me of when my daughter was that age. I planted some things, but my mom was the one who was always outside with her digging for worms (because why not!?), planting things, etc. To this day, it's some of my favorite memories, looking out the window as I made iced tea or lemonade and seeing my little girl getting dirty with Nanny. I jokingly used to say that the only part of her body that wasn't filthy was whatever was covered by clothing, but that wasn't even a guarantee if watering was involved! You will look back at these videos in 20 years and love seeing her toddling around helping 😂
I'll never stop saying how much you impress me, Ben with your ability to make something from nothing. Your skills are off the chart. It's a true blessing to your boys to have such a great teacher, role model and dad as well as a momma that loves her family so truly, is so smart and such a great, talented person. You ask your kids 20 years from now how they thought their childhoods were and I assure you they will tell you how lucky they are.

It was great seeing the boys weld and Buggy planting. Also her signing was GREAT! Taught my son early early, when we found out he had a hearing lose. My daughter carried it on and taught all 4 of her boys. The ability to communicate at a young age is priceless, especially if they are upset/crying and can't verbalize. Great job y'all. Ben, if you have a scrap yard that is close buy sometimes they have all sorts of metal that they will sell you at a very low price. If you can build it and involve the boys you have succeeded over and beyond. Thanks for the idea on the old shop broom, Our goats will love that also. God bless.

You might eventually have enough innovative, useful gadgets on that mobile stanchion to patent it. I love how your cows walk so nicely on the lead line, as opposed to others who do not want to “tame” their cows, and are dragging their animals around by force. You all have a very nice energy with animals, it’s a pleasure to watch. 🙏

The cows are very happy. You might want to lower the salt block so they eat from the top down. Otherwise they will lock until you have 3-5 pieces of salt block again. And the scratchbroom was a fantastic idea!

In the Netherlands we have “smeerkaas” which sounds like what you were describing. It is sold in tubs and it literally means “smear cheese” as you can spread it on bread, and yes it is kind of like the artificial cheese sauce but thicker. There is a extra mature version, personally I think it’s the best one. I was born in Gouda, city of cheese 😊
