In The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap, if you take long enough in the room with three Darknuts before the final boss, you'll hear the third bell toll. This triggers a unique game over where Vaati, the game's villain, successfully drains Zelda of the Light Force, effectively killing her.
Again, an example of a alternative ending by just screwing about and waiting lol

7:16 this Easter egg works on all characters including transformations! Also works on Dragon Ball Infinite World too!
It's pretty well known but in Farcry 4 at the start of the game there's a secret ending that rewards patience. You get brought to a compound run by the local warlord and his compound is attacked by rebels during your meeting. He asks you to wait for him. If you do, you get the secret ending. You're meant to leave the compound during the attack but if you listen to him and wait (it's like 10 minutes or something) he comes back and you get some cutscenes.
I know this isn’t a really big detail, and again, don’t know if you’ve covered it but in titanfall 2 on the mission “Effect and Cause” on the last Anderson log, an IMC grunt will try to kill him by pushing off a ledge,and then fall himself when Anderson travels in time. If you then jump down, you can see the grunt’s corpse.

You've probably already featured at least one and I just can't remember when, but each character in Borderlands 2 has at least one special voice line for when you sit idle. I'm only really familiar with Zero's lines since that's the character I've played the most, but I assume the rest of them are fun as well.

There is a Easter egg in disgaea 6 when you are in the juice bar menu for 5 or 6 minutes the succubus will say having trouble choosing. And in 2 or 3 minutes later she will say I’ll help you choose or something like that I can’t remember. There might be more dialogue but I didn’t wait any longer to see if there was more.
The RAGE easter egg can also be a reference to the "Can it run DOOM?" meme.
Gang beasts actually has different things that happen on different maps if the round takes too long. For example, on the Ferris wheel map, if the round takes too long then the Ferris wheel will start to go out of control and the carts start falling off.

I don't think I've seen this mentioned but in Lost in Vivo at the Siren's Lair you can wait Five minutes next to a red metal door and it will automatically open itself to reveal a coffin you have to hit and then interact with for some lines of dialogue that flash pretty fast on the screen!! Figure it'd be nice for this series :3

7:18 this detail actually behaves similarly to the Idle animation in New Super Mario Bros games, (Only in Wii, 3DS, and U.) when you leave your player character (Mario, Luigi, Toad, or Toadette), for approximately 15 seconds they will stare at the camera and wait to you for controlling them, when you controlling them they stop looking at you and focuses on their journey.

I'm playing Horizon Zero Dawn again before playing Forbidden West. A cool detail I noticed is when you sprint long distances, once you stop Aloy has heavy breathing and grabs at her chest like she's trying to catch her breath.

The Bendy easter egg is just like the Far Cry 4 one, where the villain at the beginning tells you to wait in the room and if you actually do it he rewards you and the game ends

Just like the bendy and the dark revival, you can find a secret ending by waiting 15 minutes for pagan min to come back in far cry 4, and not arresting the father in far cry 5. Pagan Min and Joseph seed both tell you that if had waited in the beginning you could’ve got the best ending

I found a disk copy of the Deadpool game at CEX and due to how rare it is it's £35.00
the pizza tower jumpscare actually made me jump.
In Call of Duty Black Ops 4 Zombies, on the map classified, to complete the easter egg, you have to get to round 150, which takes about 10 hours
in skylanders all the skylanders starts to do something if u dont play them for an amountoftime (my favourite is jew breker whesitson his fist or something)
Street fighter 5 has some Easter eggs with characters where a character by the name of G dose a massive attack if you idle long enough
Here's a fun little detail in the game Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity.
The second mission of the game requires you to escort Zelda to a research facility in a monster-filled dig site when a rogue Guardian awakens and attacks the party. The stated mission objective is to escape the Guardian so that Terrako, your own little Guardian, can reprogram other drones in order to fry it with their lasers.
The reason you need to do this is because initially, you can't do enough damage to damage the stage boss. But come back after levelling up and upgrading your weapons a great deal and you can indeed destroy the Guardian without needing to do the mission objectives. This will automatically end the mission.
Similarly, in the mission where you have to recruit Urbosa, you need to aggro a large monster to scare off enemy reinforcements, but fighting it is optional - if you do, you'll get complimented for doing it by Urbosa.
