This is referencing the exact same line from Marathon 2 of the famous Marathon series.

Here’s an Easter Egg of sorts in that Silent Hill reference you spoke of. Spoilers for SH2 if you haven’t played it ever and are waiting for the remake. You were warned so here goes. When you check the trunk he comments about smelling something foul and wonders what’s in there. A theory since the original sh2 is that Mary is inside James’ trunk and hasn’t actually been dead for years. Instead having died recently and put into his trunk.
That is a likely possibility. It could also be a type of suppressed trauma like imagining blood on recently washed hands, where even if he cleaned his car it still 'smells foul'. Or if gone down the violent/bad route, he could have both killed his wife long ago and recently killed a girl he paid to dress like his dead wife.
I like to think Snake, Sam and Gabe are in the same universe. Or at least Sam and Snake since they have both mentioned each other in their own games with Snake in MG3 and Sam I think in Ghost Recon. And god I hope they make a new Splinter Cell

In "The Talos Principle," there's a "Papers Please" Easter egg behind a hidden wall. However, if you find the stamp tool and use it on said wall, you gain access to a different Easter egg room.
Talos Principle has a lot of really cool Easter Eggs, some of them being references to the Serious Sam series (same developer). One of my favourites though has to be the Portal moon one.
If you ever do one referencing movies, a game you previously covered, Forgive Me Father, references Evil Dead when you collect the key on the level where all of the cultists chase you in a thunderstorm (it is an ammo drain if you actually want to 100% the level)
If you go on the MGR and do the magoon fight (I think that is his name) and when he throws the trucks at you, you can see your reflection in the rain drops

If you do another, sly cooper 2 band of thieves has a Easter egg found in the mission crypt of the wolf priestess, and if you stand on one of the pillars in the room and use the binocucoms and face the coffin, wait a little either rocket or Jojo will appear above it. This is a reference to the first sucker punch game ever, rocket: robot on wheels. Speaking of sly cooper in the dlc for ghost of tsushima you can find a painting depicting sly Bentley and Murray running. Also in infamous second son there’s a playground decorated in sly cooper references.
Every time that I hear you pronounce "Flowey" as flowy a part of me laughs and a part of me dies. It's an entirely reasonable interpretation of how the name would be pronounced, so I accept it.

- Even if the Master Collection's a surprising success, I doubt Psycho Mantis can read your mind much in the MGS1 release for, say, the PC, which is a shame. (Ugh, not the excessive Twin Snakes remake.) - A good crossover, but I never played Ape Escape, so it never endeared me much. Plus, I only played the MGS3: Subsistence release, which doesn't have it. (At least Sam Fisher is still an expert, as we see with the first Splinter Cell and Chaos Theory. Gabe, alas, is all but dead.) - I still think Telltale's TWD peaked at the first Season. - Weird way to say "chrysalis"... anyhow, always depressing to see Silent Hill here, since that franchise is also all but dead, while I don't give a darn to the overrated P.T. - Good taste in game there, though devs might need to reference Deltarune more even before it gets the full release treatment. - Honestly, better a game with few references than be overloaded by too much Assassin's Creed references. Plus, Fallout is a gold standard. - Nintendo is losing its charm. That'll only end if and when they finally recant their console exclusivity clause. By the way, Cap, I'll highly recommend the full version of Trepang2 and SlayersX: Terminal Aftermath: Vengance of the Slayer for more possible video game references. (Oh, and I seriously didn't make a typo on "Vengance".)

Snake vs Monkey was on the OG MGS4 too, I just believe the Subsistence version had some new maps
Snake VS Monkey existed in the original PS2 release of Snake Eater, it was removed for the HD collection though due to it being Ape Escape related
