Love to see the way u make pickle..earlier I used to eat a lot this chilli but here not available now whr I'm residing...if I visit my home town definitely I'll gonna make this small red bomb's pickle..Though Appreciate u n ur team....
A crisp and engaging video! 👏👏 Liked your presentation style, sincerity in conveying authentic recipe and most importantly the reasoning, even for a minute change that had to be incorporated! 👍 Purchased couple of jars of this hot, eye-watering, tangy-spicy red chilli pickle in Sohra and fall in love of it! The taste of chillies and masala that well-pickled mustard oil carries is unmatched! Mind well, not for fainthearted souls! 😵😅 Thank you Nambie for this wonderful recipe from Northeast! Kindly keep posting videos, which carries taste, aroma and music of the place so dear to all of us!!! 😃
My mum had a good harvest of chillies this season,we were really confused on how to make chilli pickle even after watching so many tutorials finally found your channel and I'm really happy that I've stumbled upon your channel. Loved all your videos 😊 btw How long can we store this pickle?
hey thats great. Thank you so much for finding my Channel..yaay :). Also we store the pickle for over a year. so whenever the harvest happens I am never around and my mom knows I love them. so she would just pickle and keep them till I come home ..They last long
mom makes them every year from her kitchen garden. mijao akdame ontaiaha achar donchina. This chillies are awesome maybe as a chutney or achar or raw with sour fruits.
Umm i tried these chillies recently n i guess they're from garo hills(that's what a friend of mine told me),they kinda look like these mini versions of these king or ghost chillies right, pack quite a punch but they taste so freakin good, the moment u bite em,u get a fresh smell of lemon, like the round local lemons, sumin like lemon grass,do u know what chilli it is?,if its a local chilli,a cross, hybrid or wild?🤔🤔 and its name too please,Mitela 😊
Thank you I am glad you like it. It is a regular pickle masala. You can get it from any provision store. Just ask for 'achaar masala'. I have separately shot a video on how to make pickle masala at home, you can try that too. the taste varird depending on what kind of masala you are using.
aah...my fav...chillis..n its oil...awsme...waiting to see some of ur traditional recipes nambie...can u share? and it will be awsome if its with dry bamboo shoots or may be usual bamboo shoots...🙄
I know right! Even though that chili and its oil burns the mouth, you end up craving for more. That particular chili has distinct flavor. I have shot few videos with bamboo shoot, will post them soon.
Which part Of Mizoram my Dear Young Mizo Chef . Thanks for sharing all those Recipe. Well my GF is From. Lunglei . I am chef by profession working in Mumbai
What masala is pickle masala? Ans: Pickle masala -- Fenugreek seeds, Fennel seeds, Black cumin/nigella seeds, Carom seeds, Asafoetida and cumin seeds is optional.
I followed your recipe n made the pickle. But I couldn't get as much red chilies they were green. My query is, should it be consumed immediately or does one have to wait a few days. I tasted it a few hours after making. They are damn spicy.
They are damn hot, You can have it immediately, but I suggest wait for couple of weeks as the chilies will soften in oil and the hotness will diffuse in to the oil. It tastes better that way. As long as the chilies are matured, red or green doesn't make any difference.

Two things: don't do it indoors, and these wild chilies do pop like pop corn during cooking. So it's going to be like a WW1 warfare.
My grandma makes these chilies and they are spicy ass hell . But when i make it, it comes out like jalapeños. Why is that .
