The answer is - No its not forbidden. If you think logically, if it were forbidden it would make life so difficult always have to keep wondering if its permissible to stretch legs in one direction.
Great clarity
Alhamdulillah... This is what I've been asking since I was little.
The Moroccan “jellaba” is beautiful for this sheikh mashaAllah💙⭐
We have hundreds of thousands of different cultures in the Muslim world. We cannot and we will not integrate them into Islam. Doesn’t matter whose feelings are getting hurt. LEARN YOUR RELIGION.
There are aspects of every culture that either can be acceptable or against shariah. We acknowledge culture , lineage , tribes. Labelling culture as haram blindly is a false narrative too commonly portrayed today.
Eg clothing we all differ , wedding ceremonies we differ , the wife of the prophet PBUH opting for her kafaan to be like the African not the Arab as it had more modesty etc.....everything comes under halal and haram. Not Saudia and its modern day scholars Vs rest of the world and Islamic history
But the LGBTQ love Palestine
thank you
It’s pretty hard to point to a specific city in a spherical world …. What’s on the opposite side of the world to Saudi Arabia as their legs would be pointing to Mecca even while walking or standing straight … even if it’s while floating in a boat…
Asalamu alaykum warahmatullahi wabarakatuhu Ramadan karim
Wa aleikum assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh
It is narrated in a saheeh report that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade facing towards the qiblah or turning one’s back towards it when relieving oneself. The majority of scholars (including Malik, al-Shaafa’i, and Ahmad, may Allah have mercy on them) are of the view that this prohibition applies to one who is relieving himself in a place where there is no screen between him and the qiblah, but inside buildings they say it is permissible to face the qiblah or turn one’s back towards it when relieving oneself.
Others (including Abu Haneefah, and Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah, may Allah have mercy on them) are of the view that it is haram to face the qiblah or turn one’s back towards it when relieving oneself in all cases, whether out in the open or inside a building.
We are talking about the same cubed building that is not God correct?
@@mattpowell6291 yes, we have respect. unlike paul followers who reject all Jesus taught for the tales of Paul and Church
@@fuuf7092 I follow Jesus from the Gospels not Paul. You follow Isa from Mohammad's imagination not the real Jesus
A prophet is someone SENT by God, God is not a prophet by definition, they are mutually exclusive.
If this man was GOD, he would never have claimed to be a prophet or called a prophet by those who saw him.
Matthew 21:11
And the crowds were saying, “This is the prophet Jesus, from Nazareth in Galilee.”
Luke 7:16
Fear gripped them all, and they began glorifying God, saying, “A great prophet has arisen among us!”
John 4:19
The woman *said to Him, “Sir, I perceive that You are a prophet.
Matthew 21:46
When they sought to seize Him, they feared the people, because they considered Him to be a prophet.
John 6:14
Therefore when the people saw the sign which He had performed, they said, “This is truly the Prophet who is to come into the world.”
John 7:40
Some of the people therefore, when they heard these words, were saying, “This certainly is the Prophet.”
John 9:17
So they *said to the blind man again, “What do you say about Him, since He opened your eyes?” And he said, “He is a prophet.”
Luke 24:19
And He said to them, “What things?” And they said to Him, “The things about Jesus the Nazarene, who was a prophet mighty in deed and word in the sight of God and all the people,
Mark 6:15
But others were saying, “He is Elijah.” And others were saying, “He is a prophet, like one of the prophets of old.”
Mark 8:28
They told Him, saying, “John the Baptist; and others say Elijah; but others, one of the prophets.”
Luke 9:8
and by some that Elijah had appeared, and by others that one of the prophets of old had risen again.
OK, so Jesus doesnt refute anybody calling him a Prophet, he reaffirms it😇
Luke 13:33 . . . . I must proceed on my way. For it wouldn’t do for a prophet of God to be kwil. Led except in Jerusalem.
Mark 6:3-4 Then they scoffed . . . . They were deeply off. nded and refused to believe in him. Then Jesus told them, “A prophet is honored everywhere except in his own hometown and among his relatives and his own family”.
In the above two verses, Jesus called himself a prophet. There are also many verses indicating that during his lifetime on earth the people in Judea and Galilee regarded him as a prophet.
Regarding the verses in which Jesus says that he is equal to God (mainly in the Gospel of John) most scholars believe that Jesus never said that. It was what people started saying about him after his deaff and put on his lips in the Gospels written at least 4 decades later.,
Jesus Christ not God. It is clear from the verses below that he was indeed 100% man.
John 17.3...jesus says to the father...that they may know you, THE ONLY TRUE GOD and Jesus whom you sent.
John 20.17 Jesus says....I am ascending to my father and your father, my God and your God.
Acts 2:22
“Men of Israel, listen to this: Jesus of Nazareth was a man accredited by God to you by miracles, wonders and signs, which God did among you through him, as you yourselves know.
1 Timothy 2:5
For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.
Numbers 23:19
God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man…
Numbers 23:19 (NRSV)
God is not a human being, that he should lie, or a mortal…
Hosea 11:9
For I am God, and not man- the Holy One among you..
Which way do you stretch your legs when you are asleep in your bed? Stupid question, there are many more serious things to deal with.
Literally 1 week ago at the back of the masjid lying down feet pointing towards qibla, 2 Pakistani ignorant guys 1 after another disturbed me and we debated, ended up leaving the masjid due to them disturbing me, no wisdom from these individuals, i was in a place of safety with angels then back out into the streets. Brother, I've had the same. I was stopped from reading quran because someone had their back to me, hence their back to the quran. On another occasion, I was stopped whilst reading quran because again there were too many people in front of me.
You can't win with such ignorant people who follow cultural practices that have nothing to do with islam.
Don’t lose hope or faith because of these people, it’s not worth it. In fact you will have to learn how to deal/cope/handle with these kinds of ignorants, there is no other way.

Give me reply my dear sheikh, some people's stretch his legs exactly in front of holy quran.
Still means nothing, unless his legs r PHYSICALLY touching the quran, then that would be straight up kufr.
Nothing wrong with legs facing the quran tho

There is no difference between body parts “head” versus “leg/feet” ! All are body parts, in terms of “instrumental for etiquette” ! In Hindu religion “leg” or “feet” are lower status than “mouth” or face” or head”! The cultural values deep rooted in India Subcontinent including Afghanistan. “Muslims (men or women) they usual do not touch “feet of other worshipers” in congregation in mosques. They feel “gesture of disrespect” touching feet one another ! 😮 same community member nurture the same attitude about “extending legs towards Qiblah” “An act of disrespect “ ??? Rasoolullah saw forbade from spitting in the direction of the qibalh.
So dont make it as if it means nothing.
It has significance.
If done out of necessity, then fine, it is at the end of the day permissible. However out of laziness it is no doubt disrespectful.
Just because something is permissible doesnt means its ok to do.
It's permissible (not prohibited) to lick your snot/bogeys. Go ahead and do it!
Brother share the evidence please.
The things Prophet Muhammad pbuh mentioned you follow. But stretching legs, sleeping with your legs towards qibla mean no disrespect. If it was Prophet Muhammad pbuh would have definitely mentioned this!
On Spitting toward qiblah; there are clear ahadith on it. The hadith specifies this spitting during prayer. Becoz when praying Allah is facing you. And it's disliked while outside prayer.
But on stretching legs, there is Nothing concerning it.

I don't know the merits of this person and also if he is worthy to be a scholar. The only people who stretch their legs towards are salafis and he is one of them . Now he smartly introduced the concept of culture to dismiss the severity of this act. Here I want to ask him what was Arab culture at the time of Prophet (peace be upon him). Was stretching legs towards somebody or something was considered bad? The answer is Yes . Stretching legs towards somebody or something was considered a disrespect at the time of Prophet(Peace Be Upon Him).Did Companions ever stretched their legs towards Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) or towards Kabaa? The answer is NO. Infact we have a Hadith that Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) was in negotiations with an elite Quraish to lift the siege on the City of Madinah during the battle of Trench. This person was stretching his legs towards Prophet(Peace Be Upon Him) as sign of disrespect. His act of stretching his legs towards Prophet ( Peace Be Upon Him) infuriated a companion of Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) who Drew his sword out of his sheath and called him a Monkey.

...I am no scholar but by using common sense I would disagree with Dr Bilal . Why cant you change your position by a few degrees if you must stretch your legs. You can even stretch them for a fraction of a minute and fold them again. In any society or should I say culyure if two people are sitting opposite each other withe a distance of say 5 feet , and it would be considere most rude if the other stretched the legs out. Do educated or upright members of society behave in a manner that can be deemed as 'substandard' ? . As for the back he mentions is not a benchmark. Even when the subjects go to see the queen to shake hands, they take a step or two back and turn around walk away. Then he dsays that not to answer the call of nature in that direction. Think about that for a moment ? So the stretching of legs is bad as answering the call of nature. It is possible that the flat or house you buy that has a bathroom suite planned out that you would be facing the Qibla then what are you going todo ? You have just bought the house, or you might have decided to become a muslim so what are you going todo ? It may well be that unless a lot of money is spent the position can not be redesigned then wht ? So that argument makes no sense at all.
Remember, one & only Jesus died for us; he is the path, the truth and life.
He died for you. He should have saved himself from dying. Please don't come to the platform with this bunkum
