Hi Khan sir, @12:49 the job links which you show on UK's government's website clearly mention "Visas cannot be sponsored" corresponding to visa sponsorship status. Sir, I'd like to ask you like how difficult it has now become to get a primary or secondary education teaching professional job in the UK while applying from India because you must be aware that from April 04, 2024 onwards these jobs don't form a part of the Immigration Salary List (earlier known as Shortage Occupation List)?
Raman, you are right. UK immigration policy that has undoubtedly impacted the ability of international teachers, particularly those from India, to secure positions in the UK. But still its not impossible. To qualify for a skilled worker visa, applicants now need to meet a higher salary threshold. This can be difficult for many teaching positions, especially at the early career level. For example, Head Teacher / STEM average salary is £45k, you also needs to consider private schools they pay very good pay. You won't try, you won't Get...Just try and hope for the best...
@@UKknowledgeGuru Yeah sir thanks for the reply. But since I need to complete iQTS first from India which costs £8000-9000= INR (900-100)K and takes about a year to get completed, I feel still it'd be very difficult to get an entry level job and as far as positions such as Head Teacher etc. are concerned, one needs to have a minimum of 3-4 years of teaching experience in addition to QTS. So, according to me it doesn't make sense to invest such huge amount of money first to complete iQTS because the current visa rules aren't at all favourable to get a job anywhere from outside of the UK.
As you might be aware that the median annual salary in the UK is about £35K (as of 2023) so considering this why would a UK based school like to give a much higher salary to an immigrant? Sir, even IT professionals with a decent skill-set are struggling to get visa sponsorship. Had these teaching jobs still been a part of the Immigration Salary List, then it made a lot of sense to get iQTS.

I have done my graduation in community science. Post graduation and PhD(currently persuing) in foods and Nutrition in india through UGC NET. What is best route for me to get into teaching in UK. I want to come to UK immediately after completion of my PhD.

I've been an ICT teacher in Sri Lanka for 10 years. I hope to come to the UK next September for a master of research management. I don't want to fulfil IELTS because I have met the level 7 requirements for that master. But I hope to become a teacher by completing QTS after coming to the UK. My problem is, will IELTS be wanted in the path where I want to be a teacher in the UK?
Yes, even though you don't need IELTS for your Master's program, obtaining IELTS with a minimum score of 6.5 (with no subscore below 6.0) is still required to qualify for Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
@@UKknowledgeGuru thank you so much dear...💖
Hi sir I have completed my bachelor's in agriculture.is pgce worth or a masters degree worth to become a teacher sir
Both a PGCE and a Master's degree can be valuable paths to becoming a teacher, this link will be helpful for you

I completed my graduation and post graduation in commerce...have done UGC NET in commerce and have two year experience in Degree college as Assistant Professor...also have B.ed with commerce subjects...can i apply for QTS and become teacher in UK..
Your qualifications are definitely relevant for teaching commerce in the UK, but there are a few things to consider regarding applying for the UK's Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with your background. If you add any of these qualification your chances will be better.
Subject Knowledge Enhancement (SKE) courses: These additional courses bridge the gap between your Indian commerce education and the UK curriculum for specific age groups (e.g., GCSE, A-Level).
Qualified Teacher Training (QTT) program: Depending on your experience and qualifications, you might need to complete a full QTT program in the UK. These programs typically last a year and combine academic training with practical experience in schools.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL): You can explore having your Indian teaching experience recognized by the National College for Teaching and Leadership (NCTL). This can potentially reduce the time needed for a QTT program.
A o A sir i have done my m.phil in maths 2016 to 2018 and i have more than 6 years experience of teaching maths in primary and secondary school in lhr pakistan .now i want to move to uk with my 3 kidz .which course is best for me to pursue ...i want to become a tchr in uk school i am a sngle mother plz guide me thank you
Let me break this down for you to explain you :
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): This is the essential qualification for teaching in UK schools. You'll likely need to undertake a teacher training course to obtain QTS. This could be a postgraduate certificate in education (PGCE) or a similar program.
ua-cam.com/video/E1LLlcaU9TA/v-deo.html
Your M.Phil in Mathematics could be recognized, but it might need further assessment to determine its equivalency to UK qualifications.
What's best for you ? I think PGCE in Secondary Mathematics: This is a common route for experienced teachers. It involves both academic study and practical teaching placements.
or
School-Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT): This is another option, often involving a partnership between schools and universities.
Hlo sir ...i have B ed degree nd also M sc maths degree ..bt i dont have any experience in teaching....can i eligible for uk Teaching..plz tell me
Yes, you are eligible to teach in the UK with a BEd and MSc in Mathematics. However, you will likely need to complete a teacher training program to obtain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Look for teacher training programs in the UK that are accredited by the Department for Education. These programs will provide you with the necessary pedagogical skills and knowledge to teach in a classroom.

Sir I'm on spouse settlement visa so i want to do some school job.
Kindly help me how i can get higher level teaching assistant job.
I'm masters in economics from Pakistan.
That's great that you're looking for a teaching assistant job! Your Master's in Economics can be a valuable asset for higher-level positions. Consider taking relevant training or certifications in teaching or special educational needs (SEN) to enhance your qualifications. You just need something on your cv related to teaching, so just add that and your career will be sorted.

As u know there is high fee to get teaching certificate. My husband is can driver and he can't afford with 3 kids so sir kindly guide me, how can I get teaching assistant job without any certificate cz I will get it after getting some money
Hmmm..okie The UK offers Teaching Assistant Apprenticeships. These combine on-the-job training with classroom experience and can lead to a Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools. While you'd gain qualifications while working, apprenticeships might have specific requirements or age restrictions. www.instituteforapprenticeships.org/apprenticeship-standards/teaching-assistant/

The current processing time for QTS applications in England is around 90 days as of June 2024. This timeframe is an estimate, and the actual processing time might vary depending on individual circumstances and workload. While QTS is the primary requirement for qualified teaching positions, some schools might prefer candidates with additional qualifications depending on the subject area or age group they want to teach in. Here are some examples:
Subject Knowledge Enhancement (SKE) courses: These provide additional training in specific subjects.
Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) qualification: This demonstrates expertise in supporting students with special needs.
Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) qualification: This is required for teaching English to non-native speakers.
I want to do training for school placement. Do you provide training for school placement?
Consider National College for Teaching and Leadership (NCTL) www.gov.uk/government/organisations/national-college-for-teaching-and-leadership
I want to come to your office and contact you. I want to have a meeting. For information about it, I can meet you in the office or I can get the address of the office.

@@UKknowledgeGuru Sir, I think that if an applicant is able to provide a Medium of Instruction (MoI) Certificate which states that the medium of instruction for the required teacher qualification course which the applicant has completed is English then I think that the requirement for IELTS (minimum 6.5 overall with no less than 5.5 in each module) can be waived off.
Also, for this particular case the applicant is planning to do a Masters in Research Management first from UK based university then shouldn't the IELTS requirement for QTS be waived off owing to the education received in the UK itself??
