I’ve got the Jamaican black castor oil with rosemary. For those who don’t know rosemary mirrors the effects of rogaine. You’ll be smelling like herbs and pine trees, but getting an added benefit. 😆
Hey, did you infuse the rosemary with the black castor oil? Or did you buy it like that? Can you clarify, I really want to try your suggestion. Thanks 👍🏿
You can make a great rosemary tea which is wonderful for scalp and hair. Just take fresh rosemary leaves and boil in distilled water. Keep in fridge. Spray once a day. My locs loved this when they were babies and I still use from time to time
I'm so glad you were able to recover! I don't think people talk about how much postpartum shedding can affect one. Both mentally and physically. It'd so good that there are people like you that are helping others out! Thanks Dae ❤
@daelocs I've had my dream in for 5 months now & I'm now noticing that my crown of my hair is balding. I think I may have traction alopecia. Will my hair be able to grow back & and will a beautician be able to re-dread my hair ever again?
Thank you! I noticed this recently because I’m always pulling my hair up into a ponytail. But I just told myself, after I take down these two strand twist, I’m not going to do a style for at least a month. This was helpful!
This is why I love watching your videos (even though I never comment lol) but you encourage me to keep going with my 2nd loc journey. I started at the length you started and am currently 2 months in, plus it’s great seeing someone who doesn’t have a full hairline like me. I’ve always suffered from alopecia and my hairline suffers the most and I’m self conscious about it but your videos are encouraging so I want to say thank you.
I used to always put my locs in little buns when I first started my journey and I noticed I was losing my edges so I took a break. My edges has been doing way better with my hair down😅 This video is also very helpful🤍
Thank you for sharing these tips. Hair loss has been a recurrent thing for me. I talk about it regularly too. Recently braided my hair for the first time in 2 years and I hope it improves my hair growth:)
I keep forgetting that I just had two kids three years apart. Post partum hairloss ain't no joke. I am only two and a half months into my loc journey and I've only been wearing my hair down. It makes sense why hair would start thinning if you wear it up all the time because the same thing happens to loose natural hair when you wear it in the same style, where there's tension very often.
I too like black castor oil. My hair loose is on the top of my head. My front edges are better now that I am locking. I must drink more water - thank you for mentioning that!
loving your channel girl and i'm a local girl and teacher as well, so definitely great seeing the representation! Many blessings to you, your family and continued success on your channel!
The fact you brought up prenatal vitamins! I have a 2yo & 4yo so I haven't taken prenatal vitamins in years. I look back at pics or videos & miss how good my skin looked, I didn't realize it could've been the depletion of vitamins. I gotta start taking a daily vitamin
Thanks so much for this. I have some bold patches due to bleaching and crocheting my locs often. I'm definitely taking a break from that now and taking multi vitamins as you advise. I pray it grows back 😞.
Thank you so much for your video..My edges are similar to your before and it helped to see that I've not been the only one experiencing such thing...:)

I am in my 5th month of my loc journey and I have definitely started to notice some thinning around my edges. I am definitely cutting back on the tension that I put on my hair. I am starting a new Regina’s well and getting back on my water. I do think that the water in my neighborhood is harsh on my hair. I definitely will be switching to spring or rose water like you stated!!
Thank you so much for this video, I have a weak spot at the back of my ear, actually it feels aloepicha back there.I'm 5 months locked and I got my hair styled and it was done tight and what little hair was growing back there is now gone. So I decided to stop the styling, thank you, your tips were quite helpful.👍👍
You make me want to put in locs. I love your hair journey and the way you care for your locs. Had them in before, but my journey was stopped. Definitely feeling the need lately to restart my journey.
I definitely think I will. I used a loctician the last and she kind of did what she wanted with my hair rather than what I wanted. This time I thing I will try another loctician or even doing it myself.
I wore my hair in two buns almost everyday. Always had a style. I realized that the front of my hairline would be sore. So now I just wear my locs down. I just had a baby 6 months ago and the thought of pp shredding scares me.
I’ve been loc’d almost 2 yrs. I’m 5 months post partum and have lost a lot of my edges. Im contemplating on cutting this one loc to attract later, but it’s in the temple area and I’m afraid of being embarrassed 😞..
Good information that’s why when I get my re twist I opt for two strand twist or a simple re twist I don’t like the tension on my edges btw that style is beautiful 😍
Hi thanks for your video, lots of great info. I wear crochets alot, i will have to stop for my edges to grow out, im using Jamaican black castor and sulfur 8, thanks
What do you use to retwist your Locs and to lay your edges? Your hair looks fab ❤❤❤❤❤thank you for the tips … I need to keep my bonnet on, I barely wear it
For those of you watching this video my prayer is that you ALL come to know JESUS CHRIST OF NAZARETH as your LORD AND SAVIOR. ROMANS 10:9 say that if we confess with our mouth and believe in our heart that GOD raised JESUS from the dead we shall be saved.
This girl yanked my hair out (lesson learned the hard way not to let anybody in your head)combined with tight box braids I noticed I was losing my hair and that I looked bald at the top of my hair and on the side where that girl combed out a chunk of my hair when parted a certain way😢So I decided to do locs in hopes I can recover I’ll try to keep putting castor oil on those spots. If there are any more tips please comment below
Beautiful queen. My big take away here for me is the prenatal vitamins. I would not have thought of that. Thank you.🫶🏽 My challenge is that my roots in some places are thinned. To be honest, I think it came from one day not washing out the conditioner properly. I have past bum length locs. I am super happy with my hair. However, I am working on getting those thin roots to flourish again. I will add prenatal vitamins AND try to be more consistent 👀. I also use aloe vera.. the plant.. as well as castor oil and spray with rosemary water I make from rosemary leaves. I sometimes add rose water or ylang ylang water to the rosemary tea water, but I don't think those are necessary. I just add them sometimes especially when going out because it makes my hair smell pretty.😍 Stay Blessed and BE-U-ti-Full One ❤️🥰🙏🏾
Thanks for sharing 💕. I don't hear alot of mom's talk about the postnatal vitamins but I think they helped me. I'm pregnant again so not sure what to expect this time around. Do you think you experienced it more in second or first pregnancy or the same?
@@daelocs Thanks for sharing. I know its not easy talking about hair loss. Hi there! Great video, I'm currently experiencing this and wondering if I can still retwist my hair? Being conscious about my edges of course but I don't want to not retwist at all 😅
Hi I wanted to ask I’m interested in getting locs ? But my hair is thin on the sides do you think getting them will help grow back my edges and thin hair on the sides?
