Ladies and gentlemen, it is finally here. And before you ask. Yes, I did all of this by myself. Breath of the Wild has many great stories in it that are sadly overshadowed by the main plot. Because of this, I sought out to make a video going over all of the stuff you might have missed in the game. Add another "layer" of depth to this game, to say the least. This is the end result after hours of diary reading, watching all the memories, and plenty of other things involved in this big video. Everything said in this video is canon to the game, but as a theorist it was my job to find out the best chronological order for these events to take place. It was tough...but I managed. Tons of time went into this, and because of that I DO have ads that play during the video. Don't worry, this isn't something I am going to start doing with all of my uploads. So nothing to stress over :) And finally, if Nintendo DOES claim this for copyright I WILL be reuploading the video. Considering all the time that went into this daunting task, not getting revenue would be a big stab in the back. So grab some popcorn, and enjoy the COMPLETE Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Timeline! -William
Alternate "Speedrun" timeline: After awakening from his slumber, Lunk ignores the strange old man, making his way uncannily to the tower to unlock the shrines on the plateau. Using rather... unorthodox... strategies, he swiftly defeats them all, learns of his task, and sets his sights not on the humble village, but upon Hyrule Castle itself. Using the Stasis rune to unorthodox effect on a log, Lunk swiftly travels over most of Hyrule Field, landing in the castle itself. Gathering a few necessary pieces of equipment, he makes his way to the evil at the heart of the castle. Battling all four of Ganon's blight minions which had conquered the divine beasts in a boss rush, he finally lays the killing blow on Ganon... with a Mop. All this... within a half hour.
New alternate “Speedrun” timeline: After awakening, link grabs the EyePhone, then jumps up on the wall, moves through it, then climbs up, moving through now the ground. Link sprints to the nearest bokoblin camp, grabs a pot lid, then runs to a cliff, climbs it up, then sprints rather weirdly to the stasis shrine, being interrupted by Zelda on the way there, on the way he also grabbed a bow and a woodcutters axe. After leaving the stasis shrine he swiftly makes his way to the cryonis shrine, and then the magnesis, and lastly the bomb shrine. He later makes his way to the church, speaks to the old man, then jumps on a bokoblins’ back to fly to hyrule castle, to then make his way to ganon, swiftly kill all 4 blights, then kill ganon himself, all in around 20 minutes.
32:52 Last I checked the hero goes to cut grass and snowboard for months on end before getting there. You can't skip such an important part of the story!
Well, that was quite the journey. Nothing new or shocking but that wasn't the intent: it's just the entire story of Breath of the Wild put together into a single almost hour-long video. Great work!
To be fair after age of calamity it is implied that windblight had two cannons instead of one, and he knocked one off during the fight, so he probably was the champion who gave his blight the hardest time
Maybe the fact that Revali weakened him is why I managed to one shot the blight. (I did a ton of wandering and weapon gathering before taking on windblight as my first divine beast. I used bomb arrows and a multishot damage up bow.)
You know I’m watching this and when you mentioned that Zelda never grieved after her mother’s death I find it weird that we only see one point in the timeline that she emotionally breaks and shortly after awakens the sacred power within her. Could it be possible that the reason her powers were held back because of her pent up grief of her mother’s death?
Lalalaii at the point where Zelda has her meltdown they were fleeing the castle and that scene is before link is injured. So I’m more inclined to believe she was breaking because of other things then link being wounded.
Bararuku There's an important scene where Mipha implies some stuff about using her powers. Mipha never gets to finish her sentence in that scene but if you watch all the cutscenes together there's a lot of context you can infer from that shows that she really cares for Link.
If I remember correctly, back around 2012 there was a survey that asked gamers which video game country/kingdom they preferred to live in if they could. Hyrule was the overwhelming response.
i only noticed it too because of your comment and thought thts why you can defeat the first part without the mastersword because in the end you will not kill him with it even if you have the master sword
Maybe if they stop calling the princess "Zelda" and ban the name "Link" to be used in Hyrule ever again, Ganon will be confused and the curse lifted... have they ever thought of that?
If Zelda doesn't have children, by the prophecy that was set by Demise, a blood of a princess and a soul of a hero, I think Ganon will never be resurrected.
But didn’t demise say something along the lines of “the princess with the triforce of wisdom and the hero with the triforce of courage” so the names don’t matter it’s just who has the triforce

You gotta be freaking kidding me. This game and the story Nintendo has created is just absolutely incredible. The word masterpiece is thrown around a lot with video games. But this game literally is one. I’m still blown away. Kudos to you for putting in all this effort to make this video for us. Thank you so much.
Can we just take a minute to recognize how much strength it takes to be able to so quickly enact that plan in the middle of such grief and devastation? Zelda deserves a lot of credit for being able to pull herself together in order to get the job done at 17 no less. This was by far one of the best written Zelda's in the series and this really did feel as much her story as it did Link's which I really appreciate. I hope that continues into the next game.
This was a great summary. You did a wonderful job. I do have one...criticism? You mentioned that Lady Urbosa's reason for joining the champions was for revenge, but that is entirely inaccurate. In fact, it is just wrong. If you recall, after you save Lady Urbosa from her divine beast, she gifts Link her power and then sends him away. Once she positions Nabooris and has a moment to reflect upon the upcoming battle, she thinks back to the legends of Ganondorf who assumed the body of a Gerudo and sullied the pride of her people with his evil. She then says, "I like that, Now I can take this battle personally." This was some 100 years AFTER she accepted Zelda's proposition and became the Gerudo Champion and it was very nearly an afterthought. To say that her reasons for accepting the noble task of defending the kingdom were based in revenge makes her selflessness and devotion to Hyrule, her people and her friends seem...nonexistent. Lady Urbosa deserves better than that. Her memory shouldn't be that of a woman thirsty for revenge. Honestly, though, that would the only thing that I would change about this documentary you have artfully created. Well done. 😊
One thing always stays true, Link must always awaken from slumber before his adventure. I’m starting to believe all of the timelines are different dreams of either Link or Zelda.
To continue, Link and Zelda continued to search for the source of the calamity, knowing that this was not truly Ganon, and stumbled across his almost lifeless body far under the castle. Under further investigation, Link accidentally releases a far greater evil that threatens Hyrule once again.
I think the plot is amazing, but the way it was told was flawed. Having an open world adventure like this is INSANE, but the issue is that you can do what you want how you want to. The memories I’ve gained while playing have been in such a strange order that it doesn’t evoke the emotion that this plot deserves
Pretty good story, but what makes this game amazing is Zelda's characterisation. Zelda makes this story so flavourful but because of the fact that you will only be able to see her character through memories which are in obscure locations in the game, it often goes unnoticed.
Wow, I actually just watched an hour long video on the plot of a game I've played three times. Incredible job putting everything together. Engrossed me so much it didn't even feel like and hour!
Agreed but i'd also dare to say that the following video is also quite long and extremely well-edited considering it's length: ua-cam.com/video/DgIdymgu0yo/v-deo.html
30 minutes onward is decisions made by the player... U see It says link made conversations with an old man after leaving the shrine of resurrection But actually no Instead link climbed a tree fell off the tree and died 30 seconds after waking up and that’s the end of the story
Still holds up 2 years later. The quality and effort put into this video is beyond astounding. Exemplary job m8, I fucking love this. I really do. I look forward to your take on Age of Calamity Complete Timeline. Cheers
I finally played BoTW about 2 years ago and I found this channel. It was so awesome playing through the game and watching these incredible videos side by side. I’m so freakin excited to do it again with TotK. Thanks for all the amazing content!
This story is just so beautiful I love every single part of this game and even tho I have more than 600 played hours into this game this made me appreciate it even more ❤️. This video is really well made it's a shame I only found it two years later
Don't ever feel bad for putting ads in your videos!!!! You deserve the revenue from them, look at how much time and effort goes into your videos! You DESERVE that money, and if watching a couple ads helps you make what you deserve, then your viewers should be more than happy to watch them. Great video, it's very apparent how much hard work and effort went into this. Superb!!!!!
In Skyward Sword, Demise places a curse on link and zelda that made it so that he would be reincarnated along with Link and Zelda, for all time, so, It's Ganon who's evil, as Ganon is the reincarnation of Demise
Ladies and gentlemen, it is finally here. And before you ask. Yes, I did all of this by myself. Breath of the Wild has many great stories in it that are sadly overshadowed by the main plot.
Well done. 😊
Chief* Urbosa
One thing always stays true, Link must always awaken from slumber before his adventure.
I’m starting to believe all of the timelines are different dreams of either Link or Zelda.
Link's Awakening was trying to tell us all along
To continue, Link and Zelda continued to search for the source of the calamity, knowing that this was not truly Ganon, and stumbled across his almost lifeless body far under the castle. Under further investigation, Link accidentally releases a far greater evil that threatens Hyrule once again.
Makes me realise what if Link was The True Villain
@@fristlystupidcraft5362 and ganon is the hero
to be continued in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
Tears of the Kingdom is 26 days away!!!

I know this is from two years ago, but I wanted to thank you and tell you how great this is. I felt every moment of that. Great job!
Oh, so this is how you get 10,000 hours out of Botw.
But he went 10,000 years back at the begging so wouldn’t it be 10,000
2 years later
“Ah shit here we go again”
I'm going to have to make another one for BotW 2 ROFL
Fi be like: Hylia, there is a 97% chance of saving Master Link through the Shrine of Resurrection
fr tho
I can hear this. And it haunts me. Fi made me so uneasy
Thanks so much for this! getting it "in order" was so much better! great job.
"Some shrines were hidden behind complicated puzzles"
Shows the easiest shrine puzzle
Anyone who thinks BOTW has a weak plot should watch this. Its the richest zelda yet
Matt Richards YES! Now I need to get the DLCs, I'm missing so many things! (I don't care if they're worth it or not, I need them now)
Ya... doesn't say much for the Zelda franchise from a story perspective.
Well not a weak plot perse but I think the way it was told was lacking.
I think the story is ok no more no less
I think the plot is amazing, but the way it was told was flawed. Having an open world adventure like this is INSANE, but the issue is that you can do what you want how you want to. The memories I’ve gained while playing have been in such a strange order that it doesn’t evoke the emotion that this plot deserves
Pretty good story, but what makes this game amazing is Zelda's characterisation. Zelda makes this story so flavourful but because of the fact that you will only be able to see her character through memories which are in obscure locations in the game, it often goes unnoticed.
Props my man 👊
Funny how popular BOTW still is
And will be
it reset the game's engine for the best. it's honestly the next Ocarina of Time based on what's been given to us.
yup
AmazingNintendoNerd god you really think botw is a bad game you got extreme issues u probably haven’t even played it
AmazingNintendoNerd its never gonna be outdated
This made me feel like I was watching a real movie about it. Good job!
Wow, I actually just watched an hour long video on the plot of a game I've played three times. Incredible job putting everything together. Engrossed me so much it didn't even feel like and hour!
Wow dude nearly 1 hour video?? And it’s edited so well i can’t believe you would go this far for youtube thanks
Agreed but i'd also dare to say that the following video is also quite long and extremely well-edited considering it's length: ua-cam.com/video/DgIdymgu0yo/v-deo.html
30 minutes onward is decisions made by the player...
U see
It says link made conversations with an old man after leaving the shrine of resurrection
But actually no
Instead link climbed a tree fell off the tree and died 30 seconds after waking up and that’s the end of the story
Or if that doesn't happen then he'll get killed by the guardians in the bomb shrine area.
Man watching the ending sequence after the sequel announcement game me chills.
I GOT LITERAL CHILLS WHILE WATCHING THIS
Still holds up 2 years later. The quality and effort put into this video is beyond astounding. Exemplary job m8, I fucking love this. I really do.
I look forward to your take on Age of Calamity Complete Timeline. Cheers
"Their jobs were finally done"
Ganon (hiding under hyrule): not so fast.
I'm not doing anything today so...
*Gets popcorn*
Nick Aikey I know
What about watching these videos when you're not doing anything?:

Wow amazing job on the vid!!!!! Let’s give a round of applause for NintendoBlackCrisis 👏👏👏👏👏
I hope you reach 1 million subs one day :) you deserve to have like 1000 million subs tbh.
Thunder blight Gannon... oh god the flashbacks
i don’t even remember my first fight with the 4 blights XD
And it's a happy ending for Link and Zelda !
"Breath of the wild 2 has entered the chat"
LoL Ganon Just Wont leave Them alone for 5 mins
Link: **dies**
Zelda: Im about to save this mans whole career
**claps**
Link:*DIES AGAIN*
You forgot to mention the timeline where he exploits life and beats Ganon in 5 minutes from exiting the Shrine of Resurrection.
I finally played BoTW about 2 years ago and I found this channel. It was so awesome playing through the game and watching these incredible videos side by side. I’m so freakin excited to do it again with TotK. Thanks for all the amazing content!
is it weird that I cried when I watched this?
and sometimes when I play the game...
IT'S SO GOOD! DONT JUGE ME.
Yes it's weird
Not at all. It’s a very sad story told in a beautiful environment
”Free from this evil” boy only if you knew
Wow this was amazing, this defiantly deserves more recognition for all the work you put in!!
This story is just so beautiful I love every single part of this game and even tho I have more than 600 played hours into this game this made me appreciate it even more ❤️. This video is really well made it's a shame I only found it two years later
Thank you for making this fantastic video! It was comprehensive and really easy to understand all of the story threads. I'm ready for TOTK!
Superb!!!!!
me after watching : great, now lets wait until BotW 2 comes out so the full version with BotW2 in it will be upload.
Is it ever explained how Zelda never aged for 100 years?
ez, since this is a game, no sense is needed to exist
Maybe that's because link is doomslayer.
I'd assume a form of stasis?
Probably because she was in a stasis form due to her powers.
yeah well this is a world where link can teleport through the press of a button, it's safe to say it isn't exactly normal
The wild journey of the subtitles using a different word everytime Pura is mentioned
Link could've reloaded from a previous save, when Ganon took over.
Both would be relieved to know, their jobs would be finally over.....
Or so they thought..
... RATED E10... my god what a game, when you go in that castle, people DIED there, VIOLENTLY MURDERED!
damn...
The entirety of Hyrule when Ganon comes back: Ah S**t here we go again
I was whacking a Zeltik video and realized, is it Ganon who’s evil or is it malice that possessed him?
In Skyward Sword, Demise places a curse on link and zelda that made it so that he would be reincarnated along with Link and Zelda, for all time, so, It's Ganon who's evil, as Ganon is the reincarnation of Demise
What an amazing timeline! Thank you so much for taking the precious time to write such a great video! ❤
This video is incredible. Thanks for helping me finally piece this all together coherently!
