Thunder Wave The only reason why is because they had to to get off of the Great Plateau. Link would not only have 13 hearts in this situation, but also the Master Sword, paraglider or not.
@@senordivinebeast646 you do notice tho that the only reason why speesruners do the first 4 shrines is because it litterly is impossible to leaves the staring area (without major glitch setups so much so that I do not even think you would be able to use it in aspeedrun because it involves multiple game files) because of long link does not have the power glider (and for that you need to complete the shrines) the game considers everything on the map except the starting area as an endless pit, meaning if you somehow get to another area besides the starting area without the power glider, doesn't matter the hight or anything else, you will be considered falling into your death thus spawning at the starting area again.
Shadow Sniper true but you can get off the great plateau without glitching anything. You just use stasis on a door and hit it a bunch of times. Then, you hop on it and you land in a pond that is off of the great plateau.
that part about ganon being unable to leave hyrule castle is eerily on point, especially after the trailer to BOTW 2... He must have still been bound to his physical form underneath the castle
Which might be exactly why Calamity Ganon and the blights were made; they are all simply distractions; apparitions; phase one of a bigger plan. Sealing Calamity Ganon away did nothing because the source of the Calamity is still leaking malice underneath the castle: Ganon's body. He cant move, so he sends out malice to build up over time and eventually it reaches a peak, which becomes the great Calamity.
Keep in mind that Link destroyed a group of Guardians with just a Sword before falling. He earlier defeated with a bunch of Lynels as well with just a Sword. Had Link used a Shield then he could have used Parry on every Guardian to defeat them.
I wonder this,why doesn't link and Zelda team up with the other races to make weapons to combat the lack of runes!The flame breaker or shika stealth armor could help link sneak in and out of guardians,use weapons like more durable shields or bombs,like the ones from past games and use all the resources link stole from guardians like Robbie could make some type of weapons which wouldn't be as perfect but something to help out as possible like a weaker handheld magnet or worse ancient arrows for example if they could? Link and Zelda with these resources could survive and fight back against Ganondorf and a few divine beast or at the very least put up a good fight in my opinion!
But the speedrunners have all the runes and the paraglider. And that scenario starts out with Zelda already having her sealing power unlocked. It doesn't fit the criteria for this video.

It could have been possible for Link and Zelda to storm Vah Medoh before the Guardians arrived, meaning that there would still be a Rito to carry them. This would also put Vah Medoh back to the good side, meaning it could take out the Guardians - or at least no longer prevent the Rito from flying away. Even without the paraglider, Link could hitch a ride on one Rito while another distracts the beast. As for the Zora... King Dorephan himself was strong enough to throw a Guardian into a river (as told by the second stone tablet on the path to Zora Domain), so, being younger, he would have helped Link board Vah Rutah himself. While the paraglider would have helped with hitting the points, the waterfalls still would have launched Link so it would’ve been possible to get the shots in - and it’s actually possible in-game to hit the weak points without even climbing the waterfalls, just by arcing your shots. The runes are almost an impenetrable argument... except... Link and everyone else have basic problem-solving abilities. They would have gone through many of the shrines, realised that some of them required very specific supernatural abilities, and eventually linked them to the missing ability slots on the Shiekah Slate - the only device shown to have any supernatural ability at all, even if it was just taking photos. Finally... are we really sure that the Great Plateau Tower was the only one which could have triggered the Shrines? We don’t see any other towers before we activate the Great Plateau one, so how do we know none of those were exposed? And they all have the whole Sheikah design going on, so the moment one was found, the Sheikah slate would have been brought to it and the Shrines and other Towers would rise. In the end, the Rito would be alive with a mostly intact home to go back to once the events swept over; the beasts would have their laser pointers aimed at Ganon; Link would have the Master Sword, at least 13 hearts, the champion powers, whatever he got with the spirit orbs, and Zelda’s help, and they probably would have decimated Ganon, allowing the rebuilding to begin. Considering Link can beat Ganon with 3 hearts, straight from the Great Plateau, I’d say the odds are in his favor.

Jam Usagi, these are all very great points, but I think something very important, none of the champions, link, or zelda have the shieka slate with them during the great calamity. Just a point.
But we DO know the other towers had never been exposed either because it says it in the game, which weakens your argument significantly. Also, even if they could make the connection to the missing runes, this would mean nothing unless they could find the runes, which as stated in the video, is actually impossible. You are also forgetting that Link and Zelda could not have gotten to Rito village before the guardians destroyed it, because of the distance and because Link and Zelda needed to reach Kakariko Village first so Link could heal normally. You also forget that given all the shrines that there are, it would have taken too long to even solve the puzzles. Even realistically having attempted half of the shrines in Hyrule would have taken too long. There is no evidence suggesting the Zora King would have bothered to help Link. In fact, he would have gotten lynched by the other Zora for helping Link. There is a reason he never forced any Zora to help Link at all in the first place, as mentioned in video. Your argument simply does not hold ground.
Actually, Zelda could of just temporarily sealed Ganon like how she actually but with of course Link surviving. It would be an emotional separation like in Skyward Sword, but would of been necessary for them to win with Link surviving.
Except... he doesn't NEED any of that stuff to take on Ganon, assuming that he has at least 13 hearts since he's able to wield the Master Sword, and Zelda somehow unlocks her power. Say, she unlocks it in the same instance, but he survives long enough to get to a healer or something. In case you forget, you don't HAVE to do more than the bare minimum in the actual game to take Ganon out. Paraglider? Optional. Runes? Optional. Shrines? Optional. Divine Beasts? Optional. Master Sword? Optional. All he needs to be able to do is survive long enough to scale Hyrule Castle, wipe out the four Blights, and then fight Ganon himself. With a powered Zelda, that shouldn't be too difficult. Remember, she had enough power to make it last 100 years non-stop. She can wipe out guardians en masse, and destroy or weaken the blights enough for Link to break them pretty easily. And if she brings all the power she has to bear against Ganon so early in his resurrection, the two of them can make short work of him. The ONLY reason they failed in the initial timeline was because Zelda's power didn't awaken in time. Even if all four champions died and the Divine Beasts were lost, they could still turn it around if only Zelda had her power and Link was able to fight.
@@danielola-abidoye1365 That was my supposition as well. If she's able to rip the malice out of guardians and hold back Ganon for as long as she did, it's perfectly reasonable that she could outright destroy the blights or cripple them to a point where Link doesn't NEED the runes.

And even after she couldn't hold him back completely, she could still tear open his defences to give Link a clear shot at his weak points in the boar form, and THEN, was still powerful enough to seal him. I don't think killing a few blights and the guardians at the Castle would impact her overall effectiveness in a decisive battle where she and Link are both actively bringing the smackdown to Ganon.
Considering he managed to defeat most of the Guardians chasing them, it's possible he used the friggen Master Sword to deflect the beams. BotW Link is the most badass version so far!

You should make a video talking about how other Links would handle the calamity, I.e Hero of Time, Hero of Winds, Twilight etc. Keep in mind the weapon durability won’t apply to them.
This would be a very interesting idea! Pre-Shrine of Rez the Mirror Shield having incarnations would be OP. Post-Shrine of Rez I think Majora's Mask Young HoT Link would be strong. (He can turn the champions into masks probably, as well as not even needing Sidon to board the Divine Elephant)

I completely agree! I feel like BotW set up a good base to build another story off of in future games. I was really disappointed when the 2nd DLC didn't follow up after the events of the game lol.
Great video! Also, I thought of two possible, but not so likely situations. 1) What about a case where Zelda is injured, and Link ends up taking her to the shrine of resurrection? He could possibly stumble upon the great plateau tower in this, as it is newly exposed, and kinda nearby. As I said though, unlikely. 2) A slightly more likely situation. The monks seem to be able to communicate telepathically with Link, whether this is via Shiekah Slate or not, I am unsure, however we see it a lot. They obviously are working towards him growing in power, and defeating ganon, so couldn't they have guided him to the great plateau tower, like they guide him to certain shrine trials, or the trial of the sword?
I don't get how any of the Hylians or Sheikah never saw the Great Plateau Tower... I mean, they obviously went there countless times to study the shrine of resurrection.
One of the only three items in the whole game able to damage Dark Beast Ganon, the embodiment of hatred and malice, I would say that combined with another one of the other only things that can damage Dark Beast Ganon, that being the master sword, I think they have pretty good chances.

Hi NBC, I loved this video, just one thing to point out. It said in the game that the Rito could fly low when Divine Beast Vah Medoh was rampaging. So they could still fly, which means that some Rito might escape the Guardians.

17:15 you said that the entrance to the great plateau was blocked AFTER link was placed into the shrine to protect him however with link never needing to use the shrine the entrance would never be blocked off to protect him because he was not there meaning that if zelda dose learn her power and find out about the towers making the ruins accessible to link to use to fight back against the divine beasts and the shrines. giving link a fighting chance to beat gannon COMPLETE SPECULATION AHEAD this in turn would make the great plateau a safe heaven so in time the kings spirit would travel tot eh holly place allowing the paraglider to be a successful idem also during your play through of the game meadow would is a accessible dungeon and with the set up just being a little harder to accomplish this in turn makes meadow a possible dungeon giving Ravali's Gail an idem you can get. also you could argue that link could make a paraglider to do this task if the king's spirit. also not everyone in Zora's domain would blame link for Mipha's death so this would make Ruta a yes as well. however i cant ignore the fact that link and zelda would need ot work their hardest to gain any ground in this fight but it would be possible just a very hard thing to do

@@jayley910 hyrule will most definitely fall, however just look at the games requirements to beat Ganon, litterly nothing other then any type of weapon, even a stick if you choose so (but if only that it will ake a lot lol) is enough to defeat Ganon. In the end you can skip the hole game and run straight to the castle once you wake up, even the things you forcibly get in the starting area to obtain the power glider or not needed to defeat Ganon. In other words, nothing except zelda (because she delivers the final blow in botw) is needed to defeat Ganon, every single other person in the game including every single anciant technology is 100% irrelevant when it comes to defeating Ganon and the story in general as every attack Ganon has can either be dodged or even repelled with normal means like a wooden shield (tho of course it would instantly break afterwards). Basically the story can either be the normal story with free the 4 Devine beasts get your memories back etc. BUT, it can be reduced to: half naked dude wakes up, grabs a couple free branches and walks of to defeat Ganon, that is basically botw in a nutshell, unlike in the game before that needed Story progression to even get to the point of being able to get to Ganon and/or defeat him in the first place or not needed in botw. Because of this the circumstances in botw could not be cared less about because the only real requirements of being bale to defeat this incarnation of Ganon is link being alive and zelda having her power awakened.
@@Shadowgamer-md5dd they actually couldn't, anything that tries to enter the forest (and yes, even from the sky, because of the towers and wind bombs (movement exoit in the game) it is possible to go way above in the air, but guess what happens, you still get lost in the forest and the fog consumes you, as a result no that would not be possible. Also are you serious? No guardian, or rather no living being except the koroks themselves are found in the korok forest because eit is protected by the lost woods. There are many people (npc) that try to get there hands on the mater sword in botw, if you could just enter via the sky then the korok forest would be full of the beings that could fly, for example the bird tribe in the game (forgot the name of them) and you cannot tell me that within 100 years nobody of them ever tried to enter like this.
6:33 it is also true that when link is at full health, the top of his power, the master sword shoots a beam of light, but when link isn't at full health, not at full power, the master sword can't fire these beams.
And although link doesn't have the Sheika slate he still has a ton of weapons that could help against ganon and his enemies! He has the bunch of armors that give him powers like fire resistant or stealth,shields like day breaker for guardians,the master sword,some runes like bombs and magnet could be replaced with normal bombs and Robbie and other allies link would have like the Sheika, Hyilans,Gorons and gurudo could help to make some type of magnet Device and hose are the most used runes in the divine beasts!
Hylia, in every game, arranges every single thing to revolve around Link's needs and preparation for taking on his destiny which is to fight the great evil.
Yeah they could still go straight to the castle (albeit more difficult with extra guardians), and maybe zelda would unlock her sealing power along the way, link could them beat ganon (naked if needs be), but it does depend on zelda being able to unlock her sealing by the time they get there.
My idea why Ganon didn't leave Hyrule castle is that he was basically scared. I mean - when you really get to fight him, he is super weak. Without all the guardians and sheikah-tech he can't really do a lot except fire lasers and wander the fields as a giant... Boar? Mind that it was the guardians that almost killed Link. Of course we don't know if Link would have succeeded if he had made it to Ganon. But I think so. And now, that the guardians are gone, Ganon isn't a real threat anymore. He apparently completely relied on all the sheikah-tech.
There's an old saying that evil is its own undoing. If he only had the patience to wait the reincarnation curse to come around once more. It was ten-thousand years between each Calamity Ganon attack. Which begs the question...if the goddess Hylia's bloodline had th sealing power over all those years what was she to do with it? And why was the goddess given homage once again in the future by all the people whereas in the past even at OoT there is barely any mention of her besides the Royal family's crest?
there is also the whole "not being able to hurt Ganon unless you have the power of the literal Goddess weakening him over 100 hundred years and using four lasers from the strongest machines just to harm his weaken form to be finished off by the most powerful knight that trained his whole life to beat said evil" thing. Also didn't the game say that Zelda has been keeping Ganon there the whole time?
@@mattp2788 yes, but Ganon also stayed at the castle before Zelda sealed him. She had to go to the Korok forest first and then to the castle, so why was he just hanging around then...? In theory, he could even have followed Link to the shrine of resurrection and completely killed him or something...
@@archmdc370 Maybe it's because of the research the shiekah have been doing. In Oot, everybody seems more or less ignorant. But in breath of the wild, at least before the calamity, the whole kingdom was involved in excavations etc. And maybe this also brought them to do more research on history/legends and therefore about the sealing power.
I disagree. Your "final nail" was not thought out. You said that the entrance to the Great Plateua was destroyed after Link was sealed in the Shrine of Resurection, but in this timeline, he was not sealed, therefore, the entrance was not destroyed and even if it was, Link is able to climb. He then would, probably, easily been able to see the large land mound with Sheikah tech sticking out of it, placed his slate on and activated the towers and shrines. He could then actually get the runes by seeing the now clearly orange glowing shrines, and then done more shrines, become stronger, board and complete most of the divine beasts because he now has the runes and defeated Ganon.
I'm not sure that Link and Zelda would do all that preparation while the whole world of Hyrule is getting destroyed by guardians. Plus, neither of them knew how to activate the shrines or towers at that point. Who's to say whether or not Zelda would have given Link the Sheika slate anyway? They didn't know much about the technology back then, and so they almost definitely would have failed.
@@likeagrape57 link could see the obvious spot for the slate in the tower, go back down, and ask zelda for the slate, and link can kill guardians with shields or by targeting the legs with the master sword.

At the very beginning you assume he has 13 hearts because of that's how many it takes to pull the master sword out, but that's not how Link first got it. It took 13 hearts to get *after* link goes to the shrine of resurrection and Zelda puts it there, making only a worthy hero (with at least 13 hearts) able to get it

My counter to this is that Link can beat Ganon with 3 hearts, no armor, a wooden shield, a bunch of wooden sticks & not defeating any of the devine beasts. All they need is Zelda to release her powers. Once she releases her powers they can go in the castle, fight off the 4 calamity Ganon clone beasts, defeat Ganon & seal him away. Even without using any runic abilities. Just as long as they don't take a single hit. Which has been proven to be done.
All of that keeps popping into my head. You literally do not need anything to defeat Ganon. The only thing needed technically are the light arrows from Zelda. So long as she releases her power then its possible.
I still like his theory. Cause I often wondered this too. And at times I still think they'd lose. But it all comes down to Zelda releasing her abilities. We already know Zelda is falling in love with Link when he saved her from Yiga Clan members. So all we need is something dire to happen for her to release it. Then they can go kick Ganons but with some sticks & apples.
The same idea kept popping in my head while watching. The theory wasn't too bad, but it regarded all the different shrines etc. as necessities, which they aren't.
I'm in a BOTW play through currently. Did Zora's Domain again. The King ask us when we come back to Vah Ruta if Mipha was still there, despite probably not hoping much after all those years. Point is that the now elders would have hope back in the time. 'Maybe she's still fighting. Maybe she's not dead yet." So I believe they'd help.
Well, technically, guardians can't swim, but they can walk underwater. To prove this, guardians are water proof, as they still work in rain. And also, I got a guardian to walk into a river by firing arrows at its eye to demobilize it, making it slip into the river, and it still went on to kill me, proving that they still work underwater. So even if the Zora jumped into the water, they could still be shot at from beneath by the guardians walking on the floor of the lake that surrounds Zora's Domain.
The Zora could defend themselves though to some extent. It's mentioned in the game that the King destroyed a stray Guardian that wandered near the Domain using his sheer strength
This might be impossible, but could they have helped at least one of the champions fight their respective Blight Ganon? Mipha would’ve been the most useful, and, coincidentally, the closest. Although, maybe I’m remembering wrong, and they were already dead. But even then, couldn’t one of them have been taken to the shrine of resurrection?
I’m not sure if I remembered that entirely correct but from what I believe Link haven’t die, that’s why he can be healed by the shrine. But the four already...
@@swagmiredoesall it was told that link and Zelda rushed towards the castle (closest towards mipha) but by the time they arrived, it was too late as the king was dead from the endless onslaught of guardians so it could’ve meant that the champions either had their last breath or died a few minutes after
@@regularhooman1568 likely a while after. I'd imagine after the divine beasts were hijacked by calamity ganon they'd have to reset the terminals like link does in the game. Meaning they would've had plenty of time. The next topic will spoil age of calamity if you haven't seen or played it so don't read on if you wish to experience the story yourself. Now assuming that's not the case, and they just get ambushed straight up, the champions would still hold their own for several minutes before being taken down as you can see in age of calamity even before the "new gen champions", I'll call them, came from the past. They lasted long enough that had link not fallen there could've been a chance for all of them to survive had they received Intel on the situation. I'm assuming they didn't though because link is alive and well when zelda is crying about their loss. So link dying made no real contribution to their deaths. However, had they went to one of them they could've found out about the situation and saved at least one of the champions. Why would they go to the divine beast, you ask? Why wouldn't they? They were written in history as useful in defeating calamity ganon the first time. They'd have to be dumb to not try and see if the divine beast are ready for battle at the start of the calamity.
Hey, here’s a math theory: While playing Zelda: Skyward Sword, I saw how big the moon was while walking around sky loft at night. I realized that the moon in SS is MUCH bigger than the one in BotW. Now I am not sure about this, but I think the moon distances itself from the earth VERY slowly. Using the velocity of the moon and how big it is in both games, is it possible to calculate the amount of years past? I am not sure about this, and it will probably be very difficult, however I think it is pretty possible and interesting.

That would probably be pretty much the same thing as Age of Calamity. The Battle of Akkala Citadel would play out differently though due to future Sidon not being there to pilot Ruta.
I think the reason why calamity Gabon didn’t go out to kill link himself is because he was too afraid of being defeated and sealed away by the master sword which is literally the sword that seals the darkness. Don’t know if it’s useful but it’s something to take into consideration
While a lot of the points that you said were true, a lot of them don't matter. All they need to beat gannon is 1) a Link capable damaging him(while link can damage calamity gannon with all weapons, he needs either the master sword's beams, the bow of light, or ancient arrows to damage dark beat gannon), 2) a Zelda capable of sealing him, and 3) both of them being able to get to him in the first place, since that is all that is required in the game itself. The first point is self evident in this scenario, since Link is both alive and equipped with the master sword. Plus, Zelda, and Link by extension, should have access to the bow of light since she has it at the end of the game. You already said that it is possible for Zelda to unlock her powers in this scenario, so as long as that happens, the second requirement is met. And Zelda literally walks right up to gannon in the games events, meaning that it would be even easier to get to him with link. You could argue that cannon link might not have the skills needed to beat gannon without upgrades from the shrines, or that the master sword might not be enough and run out of energy before he is able to defeat him, but gannon would only have his dark beast state at this point, and even if he did have a physical body, Link was able to take down multiple lynels and a horde of bokoblins at the same time as seen in one of the memories, implying that cannon link has more than enough skill to take on that state and that the cannon master sword should have enough durability to take down gannon.
In the memory where Zelda tries to get in the shrine she say that the shika-slate is the key to open shrines and that they are only opened for the hero but she is trying to find a loophole in this because she hated Link in that time. So is it not possible that if she just had let Link to try or even touch the shika-slate he could have opened something even before Gannon come if she had let him? I’m just going from my gaming experience so I don’t know if there is written somewhere that it had to be just that tower, but from what I have seen myself in the game end memories it only works after link touch the shika-slate.
The towers aren't unlocked (glowing orange) until you visit the tower. Try this sometime: start a new game and try to open a shrine before going to the tower. It won't work

Well I believe that after this years E3 it is clear why he couldn't leave. If we get going from the point that the mummy under Hyrule castle was Ganons body, maybe he couldn't leave the region due to his spirit beeing bound to the body which is sealed under Hyrule castle. Just a theory but I think it would make sense.
Counterargument: the ancient sheikah have the power of foresight, seeing the future where Link doesn't fall would make them build everything differently, allowing link to win.
I think the reason he didn't leave is because he was made from the malice of Ganons hatred beneath the castle, and the malice can't be manipulated purely at such a distance. This is why ganon needed to make a puppet in the sanctum, and the only parts he could use in the castle were from guardians. This doesn't quite explain things like how ganon could kill the champions if it took him 100 years to make a pretty weak puppet.
Ok I think that it would still be possible and I got some reasons for this (keep in mind I have not played the DLCs or looked at the book so this can be debunked.) 1. We already said that Zelda's sealing power could be awoken later on so if her power was unlocked she could has gone to Hyrule Castle and sealed calamity Ganon in the castle making it save to explore, there for the research could continue eventually making the ancient items. 2. Even if the rito did go extinct or the Zora didn't want to help. If the research continued I'm pretty sure we could have made some form of flying mech and boat. (I mean if we can make a motorcycle I think we can make something like that.) 3.Finally the tower on the great plateau could be located if Zelda had sealed Ganon ether by accident or by Zelda telling someone as she dose the the game. There for all the shrines and runes would be available. So that is why I think it is possible to beat Ganon without link going into the shrine of resurrection.
9:20 You joke, but I almost guarantee swimming guardians will be revised into existence in BotW2, assuming the dev team give us the opportunity to explore more of the ocean, either underwater or to more distant islands. I could imagine water guardians being a kind of difficulty "gate," barring players from going too far too early due to how nigh impossible it is to dodge lasers on a raft or while swimming. Then maybe after the player acquires some sort of upgrade, dealing with water guardians becomes feasible, opening up easier sea exploration.

To me Revali and Urbosa seemed the most capable against their blight. Mipha and Daruk were screwed by their shorter spear and the flame shield respectively, but Urbosa was a skilled fighter, and Revali had slots of room to fly. I guess without their stuff they got dunked

QuickSilver Gaming77 that would’ve been funny if the king had said “the champions lost their lives except Revali” and then after going to the rito village and having Revali say “It’s about time you showed up I’m too old to help you now.” Maybe then link would thank him for keeping one of the divine beasts free. I found it hilarious the first time I heard the deku tree say to link “even my patience has limits you know”. To be honest the shrine of resurrection is pretty sad if it takes a hundred years to do what mipha can in a few seconds.
technically, according to age of calamity, the towers were brought above ground before link fell to the calamity. and in one of the memories, it shows Zelda trying to access an activated shrine, therefore showing us that shrines were active before link fell. also, as shown in age of calamity, the sheika slate had all the runes, because we see Zelda use all of these runes.
AOC isn't canon though. We literally see the towers rise up in the beginning of BotW - it makes 0 sense for them to have been able to do it prior to Link activating the Great Plateau tower. They can get away with it in AOC cuz it's an alternate universe that's not tied to the canon/timeline.
After reading a lot of comments, I have to say that even if Link only had some sticks going into Hyrule Castle, he could still get weapons to face Ganon as Hyrule Castle is host to some of the best weapons in the game: the royal guards set. Also, the champions could've won against the blights. Fireblight can do nothing to daruk (thanks to infinite use of Daruk's protection)except hope that he steps into malice, mipha is not a fighter so will probably die, Revali can fly and from what I've seen stay steady in winds which negates most of windblights attacks and if unfortunately for urbosa she did not have the thunder helm to protect her from electric attacks. If I gave a percentage for each one to win it would be: Daruk - 95%, Mipha - 20%, Urbosa - 50%, Revali - 60%.
Except Daruk died to Fireblight. It's stated that the champions died to their respective blights. Also, Mipha WAS a warrior. Real Chances of them winning: 0%. They died in the game. That happened. One on One. Forget about Link and Zelda helping, they were somewhere else.
I believe all of the champions were unarmed/without their signature weapons. During the Lanaryu gate cutscene none of them have their weapons when they rush to the beasts. Their weapons are also in the possession of their village elders, meaning they left them behind. Fireblight's shield might've been too hot for Daruk to get through. Waterblight had a much longer spear. Urbosa lacked the Thunder Helm. Revali? IDK why he died
I think that fandoms power is stored inside the castle because of that core thing he comes out of in the fandoms boss fight so that would probably mean that Gabon’s power would slowly weaken if he left his power behind so that’s probably why he doesn’t leave the castle
@@aurora01010 The blights were only able to take over the Beasts after the champions fell. The chronological order is that Link gets injured and he and Zelda flee. The Champions all start to struggle, and Zelda laments her inability to help them, at which point Link falls unconscious and she calls for help, and asks for him to be taken to the Shrine of Resurrection to recover. After all of this, the Champions fall, and the blights take over the Divine Beasts, and Calamity Ganon starts taking over the rest of the Guardians and such, and starts to destroy the landscape.

Impa also isn't reciting things from her own experience, it's history at that point. This is the cutscene she first shows after you talk to her. The one with the tapestry showing Calamity Ganon. She wouldn't have had to have been there to know, because it's history (or story important, so she has to know. Just like King Rhoam has to know what happens despite him not being there.) But I remember her saying something like "The champions all fought valiantly, but ultimately they fell at the hands of Calamity Ganon's creations. With the Champions unable to pilot the Divine Beasts, Ganon quickly possessed the Beasts and Guardians, ancient machines designed to protect Hyrule. He turned the very protection we made against us. Cities and towns were destroyed with only the ruins of places and Guardians left to show what had happened on that day. The day Hyrule fell." I didn't get it word for word but I think that's basically what she said. I'm pretty sure I got the order correct, but if anyone has the actual order from the script, feel free to correct me. I'm not trying to insist something that's wrong, I just think I have a pretty good idea of the chronological order of events was.
I'm pretty sure link was actually super op before the shrine of ressurection considering he was able to pull out the master sword with ease originally meaning he had at least 13 hearts, most likely more since it was easy. He didn't even need the shrines, also, the master sword never breaks, the recharging is just for gameplay so it isn't too op. He was also able to kill at least 3 lynels and 10 bokoblins with just a few scratches.

But when you find the Master Sword, the Great Deku tree tells you that you would be able to pull it from the stone without problems, but after his recovery of 100 years, he has grown weak and NEEDS 13 hearts to pull the Master Sword, meaning that before/during the Calamity, he didn’t need to have 13 hearts to pull the sword.
Wouldn't they just go straight to ganon to fight and seal him after zelda knew how to use her power, and yes there would be gaurdians protecting him but there are already gaurdians in the preasent day.so the calamity would end within a few days insted of a hundred years.

I think that they may have discovered the Great Plateau Shrines. You state it yourself, The Great Plateau Tower was revealed when Calamity Ganon was revived. Not when he was sealed. At some point, Link and Zelda would have made a pilgrimage to the Great Plateau, to visit the destroyed temple. Once they visited this location, they would have had little issue discovering the tower. Link or Zelda would have used the Tower, releasing the other towers and unlocking the Shrines. With this, they would have tried the closest shrine, revealing the Magnesis Rune. Zelda would of course, be thrilled by this discovery and insist upon investigating the nearest additional shrines, giving Link the other three runes. I'd imagine they would clear the good portion of the Great Plateau, and set up base there. Methods of climbing up and down the plateau would also be created, as they would have naturally had to carry a dead Link up to the plateau at some point. With the four additional runes, and the Shiekah still alive, they could have boarded three divine beasts, and used the beasts to knock the fourth out of the sky, this would allow them to set up four beasts, and damage Ganon, when the time was needed. However, that is besides the point. With each shrine being available, Link would be able to access additional strength and power, and while some shrines required a verse from a song to unlock, seriously, at one point the Shiekah master would have had to discover this himself, thus I believe that a scholar like Zelda and Link combined, would have been able to discover the secret. So, in order: - They go to the plateau. - The tower is revealed, because the tower was reveal WHEN Ganon was revived, not when Zelda sealed him. - They unlock all Shrines. - They investigate the four Plateau Shrines. - They get the runes. - They make a base of operations on the Plateau. - They visit each shrine that they can. - They begin their assault again each divine beast. - They proceed to free each beast. - Once unlocked, they speak with the spirits. Also, Zelda's Father was a spirit who created the glider. If a King can do it, so can Zelda. - Link received Spirit Power. - They challenge Ganon. - Zelda Manefests the Bow of Light. - They proceed to damage Ganon. - They finish off the Beast. - They win. However, the Guardian will indeed continue to rampage during this time, but they are susceptible to damage. The world would be worse off, yes, but they could indeed win.
But I don’t think Zelda knew how to pilot the divine beasts. If she did, she probably would have at least tried to teach others just in case the champions died. Also who would take him there? Not saying no one would do it but who would be faster than link himself? The Rito WOULD be able to but divine beast vah medoh stops them from flying. I don’t think anyone would help him get there faster. Also, even if he could get there in time, and knew how to use it, I don’t think he could have “spammed lasers”. I think the divine beasts have to recharge after shooting, otherwise why wouldn’t at the end of the game, the champions and there divine beasts keep shooting lasers at ganon, getting him to lower heath and possibly killing him (or getting him to his boar 🐗 form). So, sorry, but your theory does not hold up. But thank you for thinking about it!

@@senordivinebeast646 you do notice tho that the only reason why speesruners do the first 4 shrines is because it litterly is impossible to leaves the staring area (without major glitch setups so much so that I do not even think you would be able to use it in aspeedrun because it involves multiple game files) because of long link does not have the power glider (and for that you need to complete the shrines) the game considers everything on the map except the starting area as an endless pit, meaning if you somehow get to another area besides the starting area without the power glider, doesn't matter the hight or anything else, you will be considered falling into your death thus spawning at the starting area again.
Shadow Sniper true but you can get off the great plateau without glitching anything. You just use stasis on a door and hit it a bunch of times. Then, you hop on it and you land in a pond that is off of the great plateau.

Which might be exactly why Calamity Ganon and the blights were made; they are all simply distractions; apparitions; phase one of a bigger plan. Sealing Calamity Ganon away did nothing because the source of the Calamity is still leaking malice underneath the castle: Ganon's body. He cant move, so he sends out malice to build up over time and eventually it reaches a peak, which becomes the great Calamity.

Keep in mind that Link destroyed a group of Guardians with just a Sword before falling. He earlier defeated with a bunch of Lynels as well with just a Sword. Had Link used a Shield then he could have used Parry on every Guardian to defeat them.

I wonder this,why doesn't link and Zelda team up with the other races to make weapons to combat the lack of runes!The flame breaker or shika stealth armor could help link sneak in and out of guardians,use weapons like more durable shields or bombs,like the ones from past games and use all the resources link stole from guardians like Robbie could make some type of weapons which wouldn't be as perfect but something to help out as possible like a weaker handheld magnet or worse ancient arrows for example if they could?
Link and Zelda with these resources could survive and fight back against Ganondorf and a few divine beast or at the very least put up a good fight in my opinion!

But the speedrunners have all the runes and the paraglider. And that scenario starts out with Zelda already having her sealing power unlocked. It doesn't fit the criteria for this video.

It could have been possible for Link and Zelda to storm Vah Medoh before the Guardians arrived, meaning that there would still be a Rito to carry them. This would also put Vah Medoh back to the good side, meaning it could take out the Guardians - or at least no longer prevent the Rito from flying away. Even without the paraglider, Link could hitch a ride on one Rito while another distracts the beast.
As for the Zora... King Dorephan himself was strong enough to throw a Guardian into a river (as told by the second stone tablet on the path to Zora Domain), so, being younger, he would have helped Link board Vah Rutah himself. While the paraglider would have helped with hitting the points, the waterfalls still would have launched Link so it would’ve been possible to get the shots in - and it’s actually possible in-game to hit the weak points without even climbing the waterfalls, just by arcing your shots.
The runes are almost an impenetrable argument... except... Link and everyone else have basic problem-solving abilities. They would have gone through many of the shrines, realised that some of them required very specific supernatural abilities, and eventually linked them to the missing ability slots on the Shiekah Slate - the only device shown to have any supernatural ability at all, even if it was just taking photos.
Finally... are we really sure that the Great Plateau Tower was the only one which could have triggered the Shrines? We don’t see any other towers before we activate the Great Plateau one, so how do we know none of those were exposed? And they all have the whole Sheikah design going on, so the moment one was found, the Sheikah slate would have been brought to it and the Shrines and other Towers would rise.
In the end, the Rito would be alive with a mostly intact home to go back to once the events swept over; the beasts would have their laser pointers aimed at Ganon; Link would have the Master Sword, at least 13 hearts, the champion powers, whatever he got with the spirit orbs, and Zelda’s help, and they probably would have decimated Ganon, allowing the rebuilding to begin.
Considering Link can beat Ganon with 3 hearts, straight from the Great Plateau, I’d say the odds are in his favor.

Jam Usagi, these are all very great points, but I think something very important, none of the champions, link, or zelda have the shieka slate with them during the great calamity. Just a point.
Link would also have bombs, they don't need to be shiekah bombs, and htey could probably make another glider.
But we DO know the other towers had never been exposed either because it says it in the game, which weakens your argument significantly.
Also, even if they could make the connection to the missing runes, this would mean nothing unless they could find the runes, which as stated in the video, is actually impossible.
You are also forgetting that Link and Zelda could not have gotten to Rito village before the guardians destroyed it, because of the distance and because Link and Zelda needed to reach Kakariko Village first so Link could heal normally.
You also forget that given all the shrines that there are, it would have taken too long to even solve the puzzles. Even realistically having attempted half of the shrines in Hyrule would have taken too long.
There is no evidence suggesting the Zora King would have bothered to help Link. In fact, he would have gotten lynched by the other Zora for helping Link. There is a reason he never forced any Zora to help Link at all in the first place, as mentioned in video.

Actually, Zelda could of just temporarily sealed Ganon like how she actually but with of course Link surviving. It would be an emotional separation like in Skyward Sword, but would of been necessary for them to win with Link surviving.

Except... he doesn't NEED any of that stuff to take on Ganon, assuming that he has at least 13 hearts since he's able to wield the Master Sword, and Zelda somehow unlocks her power. Say, she unlocks it in the same instance, but he survives long enough to get to a healer or something.
In case you forget, you don't HAVE to do more than the bare minimum in the actual game to take Ganon out.
Paraglider? Optional.
Runes? Optional.
Shrines? Optional.
Divine Beasts? Optional.
Master Sword? Optional.
All he needs to be able to do is survive long enough to scale Hyrule Castle, wipe out the four Blights, and then fight Ganon himself. With a powered Zelda, that shouldn't be too difficult. Remember, she had enough power to make it last 100 years non-stop. She can wipe out guardians en masse, and destroy or weaken the blights enough for Link to break them pretty easily. And if she brings all the power she has to bear against Ganon so early in his resurrection, the two of them can make short work of him.
The ONLY reason they failed in the initial timeline was because Zelda's power didn't awaken in time. Even if all four champions died and the Divine Beasts were lost, they could still turn it around if only Zelda had her power and Link was able to fight.
Possibly, don't forget though that defeating fireblight and thunderblight require the bomb and magnesia runes! ;)

@@danielola-abidoye1365 That was my supposition as well. If she's able to rip the malice out of guardians and hold back Ganon for as long as she did, it's perfectly reasonable that she could outright destroy the blights or cripple them to a point where Link doesn't NEED the runes.

And even after she couldn't hold him back completely, she could still tear open his defences to give Link a clear shot at his weak points in the boar form, and THEN, was still powerful enough to seal him. I don't think killing a few blights and the guardians at the Castle would impact her overall effectiveness in a decisive battle where she and Link are both actively bringing the smackdown to Ganon.

Considering he managed to defeat most of the Guardians chasing them, it's possible he used the friggen Master Sword to deflect the beams. BotW Link is the most badass version so far!

1) What about a case where Zelda is injured, and Link ends up taking her to the shrine of resurrection? He could possibly stumble upon the great plateau tower in this, as it is newly exposed, and kinda nearby. As I said though, unlikely.
2) A slightly more likely situation. The monks seem to be able to communicate telepathically with Link, whether this is via Shiekah Slate or not, I am unsure, however we see it a lot. They obviously are working towards him growing in power, and defeating ganon, so couldn't they have guided him to the great plateau tower, like they guide him to certain shrine trials, or the trial of the sword?

One of the only three items in the whole game able to damage Dark Beast Ganon, the embodiment of hatred and malice, I would say that combined with another one of the other only things that can damage Dark Beast Ganon, that being the master sword, I think they have pretty good chances.

@@jayley910 hyrule will most definitely fall, however just look at the games requirements to beat Ganon, litterly nothing other then any type of weapon, even a stick if you choose so (but if only that it will ake a lot lol) is enough to defeat Ganon. In the end you can skip the hole game and run straight to the castle once you wake up, even the things you forcibly get in the starting area to obtain the power glider or not needed to defeat Ganon.
In other words, nothing except zelda (because she delivers the final blow in botw) is needed to defeat Ganon, every single other person in the game including every single anciant technology is 100% irrelevant when it comes to defeating Ganon and the story in general as every attack Ganon has can either be dodged or even repelled with normal means like a wooden shield (tho of course it would instantly break afterwards). Basically the story can either be the normal story with free the 4 Devine beasts get your memories back etc. BUT, it can be reduced to: half naked dude wakes up, grabs a couple free branches and walks of to defeat Ganon, that is basically botw in a nutshell, unlike in the game before that needed Story progression to even get to the point of being able to get to Ganon and/or defeat him in the first place or not needed in botw. Because of this the circumstances in botw could not be cared less about because the only real requirements of being bale to defeat this incarnation of Ganon is link being alive and zelda having her power awakened.
@@Shadowgamer-md5dd they actually couldn't, anything that tries to enter the forest (and yes, even from the sky, because of the towers and wind bombs (movement exoit in the game) it is possible to go way above in the air, but guess what happens, you still get lost in the forest and the fog consumes you, as a result no that would not be possible. Also are you serious? No guardian, or rather no living being except the koroks themselves are found in the korok forest because eit is protected by the lost woods. There are many people (npc) that try to get there hands on the mater sword in botw, if you could just enter via the sky then the korok forest would be full of the beings that could fly, for example the bird tribe in the game (forgot the name of them) and you cannot tell me that within 100 years nobody of them ever tried to enter like this.
6:33 it is also true that when link is at full health, the top of his power, the master sword shoots a beam of light, but when link isn't at full health, not at full power, the master sword can't fire these beams.

My idea why Ganon didn't leave Hyrule castle is that he was basically scared. I mean - when you really get to fight him, he is super weak. Without all the guardians and sheikah-tech he can't really do a lot except fire lasers and wander the fields as a giant... Boar? Mind that it was the guardians that almost killed Link. Of course we don't know if Link would have succeeded if he had made it to Ganon. But I think so. And now, that the guardians are gone, Ganon isn't a real threat anymore. He apparently completely relied on all the sheikah-tech.
This game does seem to show Ganon in his weakest form
There's an old saying that evil is its own undoing. If he only had the patience to wait the reincarnation curse to come around once more. It was ten-thousand years between each Calamity Ganon attack. Which begs the question...if the goddess Hylia's bloodline had th sealing power over all those years what was she to do with it? And why was the goddess given homage once again in the future by all the people whereas in the past even at OoT there is barely any mention of her besides the Royal family's crest?
there is also the whole "not being able to hurt Ganon unless you have the power of the literal Goddess weakening him over 100 hundred years and using four lasers from the strongest machines just to harm his weaken form to be finished off by the most powerful knight that trained his whole life to beat said evil" thing.

@@archmdc370 Maybe it's because of the research the shiekah have been doing. In Oot, everybody seems more or less ignorant. But in breath of the wild, at least before the calamity, the whole kingdom was involved in excavations etc. And maybe this also brought them to do more research on history/legends and therefore about the sealing power.

I disagree. Your "final nail" was not thought out. You said that the entrance to the Great Plateua was destroyed after Link was sealed in the Shrine of Resurection, but in this timeline, he was not sealed, therefore, the entrance was not destroyed and even if it was, Link is able to climb. He then would, probably, easily been able to see the large land mound with Sheikah tech sticking out of it, placed his slate on and activated the towers and shrines. He could then actually get the runes by seeing the now clearly orange glowing shrines, and then done more shrines, become stronger, board and complete most of the divine beasts because he now has the runes and defeated Ganon.
I'm not sure that Link and Zelda would do all that preparation while the whole world of Hyrule is getting destroyed by guardians. Plus, neither of them knew how to activate the shrines or towers at that point. Who's to say whether or not Zelda would have given Link the Sheika slate anyway? They didn't know much about the technology back then, and so they almost definitely would have failed.
@@likeagrape57 link could see the obvious spot for the slate in the tower, go back down, and ask zelda for the slate, and link can kill guardians with shields or by targeting the legs with the master sword.

At the very beginning you assume he has 13 hearts because of that's how many it takes to pull the master sword out, but that's not how Link first got it. It took 13 hearts to get *after* link goes to the shrine of resurrection and Zelda puts it there, making only a worthy hero (with at least 13 hearts) able to get it

My counter to this is that Link can beat Ganon with 3 hearts, no armor, a wooden shield, a bunch of wooden sticks & not defeating any of the devine beasts. All they need is Zelda to release her powers. Once she releases her powers they can go in the castle, fight off the 4 calamity Ganon clone beasts, defeat Ganon & seal him away. Even without using any runic abilities. Just as long as they don't take a single hit. Which has been proven to be done.

All of that keeps popping into my head. You literally do not need anything to defeat Ganon. The only thing needed technically are the light arrows from Zelda. So long as she releases her power then its possible.
I still like his theory. Cause I often wondered this too. And at times I still think they'd lose. But it all comes down to Zelda releasing her abilities. We already know Zelda is falling in love with Link when he saved her from Yiga Clan members. So all we need is something dire to happen for her to release it. Then they can go kick Ganons but with some sticks & apples.

Well, technically, guardians can't swim, but they can walk underwater. To prove this, guardians are water proof, as they still work in rain. And also, I got a guardian to walk into a river by firing arrows at its eye to demobilize it, making it slip into the river, and it still went on to kill me, proving that they still work underwater. So even if the Zora jumped into the water, they could still be shot at from beneath by the guardians walking on the floor of the lake that surrounds Zora's Domain.
The Zora could defend themselves though to some extent. It's mentioned in the game that the King destroyed a stray Guardian that wandered near the Domain using his sheer strength

@@regularhooman1568 likely a while after. I'd imagine after the divine beasts were hijacked by calamity ganon they'd have to reset the terminals like link does in the game. Meaning they would've had plenty of time. The next topic will spoil age of calamity if you haven't seen or played it so don't read on if you wish to experience the story yourself. Now assuming that's not the case, and they just get ambushed straight up, the champions would still hold their own for several minutes before being taken down as you can see in age of calamity even before the "new gen champions", I'll call them, came from the past. They lasted long enough that had link not fallen there could've been a chance for all of them to survive had they received Intel on the situation. I'm assuming they didn't though because link is alive and well when zelda is crying about their loss. So link dying made no real contribution to their deaths. However, had they went to one of them they could've found out about the situation and saved at least one of the champions. Why would they go to the divine beast, you ask? Why wouldn't they? They were written in history as useful in defeating calamity ganon the first time. They'd have to be dumb to not try and see if the divine beast are ready for battle at the start of the calamity.
Hey, here’s a math theory:
While playing Zelda: Skyward Sword, I saw how big the moon was while walking around sky loft at night. I realized that the moon in SS is MUCH bigger than the one in BotW. Now I am not sure about this, but I think the moon distances itself from the earth VERY slowly. Using the velocity of the moon and how big it is in both games, is it possible to calculate the amount of years past?
I am not sure about this, and it will probably be very difficult, however I think it is pretty possible and interesting.

I think the reason why calamity Gabon didn’t go out to kill link himself is because he was too afraid of being defeated and sealed away by the master sword which is literally the sword that seals the darkness. Don’t know if it’s useful but it’s something to take into consideration

While a lot of the points that you said were true, a lot of them don't matter. All they need to beat gannon is 1) a Link capable damaging him(while link can damage calamity gannon with all weapons, he needs either the master sword's beams, the bow of light, or ancient arrows to damage dark beat gannon), 2) a Zelda capable of sealing him, and 3) both of them being able to get to him in the first place, since that is all that is required in the game itself. The first point is self evident in this scenario, since Link is both alive and equipped with the master sword. Plus, Zelda, and Link by extension, should have access to the bow of light since she has it at the end of the game. You already said that it is possible for Zelda to unlock her powers in this scenario, so as long as that happens, the second requirement is met. And Zelda literally walks right up to gannon in the games events, meaning that it would be even easier to get to him with link. You could argue that cannon link might not have the skills needed to beat gannon without upgrades from the shrines, or that the master sword might not be enough and run out of energy before he is able to defeat him, but gannon would only have his dark beast state at this point, and even if he did have a physical body, Link was able to take down multiple lynels and a horde of bokoblins at the same time as seen in one of the memories, implying that cannon link has more than enough skill to take on that state and that the cannon master sword should have enough durability to take down gannon.
In the memory where Zelda tries to get in the shrine she say that the shika-slate is the key to open shrines and that they are only opened for the hero but she is trying to find a loophole in this because she hated Link in that time. So is it not possible that if she just had let Link to try or even touch the shika-slate he could have opened something even before Gannon come if she had let him?
I’m just going from my gaming experience so I don’t know if there is written somewhere that it had to be just that tower, but from what I have seen myself in the game end memories it only works after link touch the shika-slate.
The towers aren't unlocked (glowing orange) until you visit the tower. Try this sometime: start a new game and try to open a shrine before going to the tower. It won't work

Well I believe that after this years E3 it is clear why he couldn't leave. If we get going from the point that the mummy under Hyrule castle was Ganons body, maybe he couldn't leave the region due to his spirit beeing bound to the body which is sealed under Hyrule castle. Just a theory but I think it would make sense.
Counterargument: the ancient sheikah have the power of foresight, seeing the future where Link doesn't fall would make them build everything differently, allowing link to win.
Lurelin also could be destroyed by skywatchers and guardians who maiden their way through the jungle

I think the reason he didn't leave is because he was made from the malice of Ganons hatred beneath the castle, and the malice can't be manipulated purely at such a distance. This is why ganon needed to make a puppet in the sanctum, and the only parts he could use in the castle were from guardians. This doesn't quite explain things like how ganon could kill the champions if it took him 100 years to make a pretty weak puppet.

Ok I think that it would still be possible and I got some reasons for this (keep in mind I have not played the DLCs or looked at the book so this can be debunked.)
1. We already said that Zelda's sealing power could be awoken later on so if her power was unlocked she could has gone to Hyrule Castle and sealed calamity Ganon in the castle making it save to explore, there for the research could continue eventually making the ancient items.
2. Even if the rito did go extinct or the Zora didn't want to help. If the research continued I'm pretty sure we could have made some form of flying mech and boat. (I mean if we can make a motorcycle I think we can make something like that.)
3.Finally the tower on the great plateau could be located if Zelda had sealed Ganon ether by accident or by Zelda telling someone as she dose the the game. There for all the shrines and runes would be available.
So that is why I think it is possible to beat Ganon without link going into the shrine of resurrection.
I just imagine him watching the memories until he finds something, and when he does he just freaks out. Lmao.

You joke, but I almost guarantee swimming guardians will be revised into existence in BotW2, assuming the dev team give us the opportunity to explore more of the ocean, either underwater or to more distant islands.
I could imagine water guardians being a kind of difficulty "gate," barring players from going too far too early due to how nigh impossible it is to dodge lasers on a raft or while swimming. Then maybe after the player acquires some sort of upgrade, dealing with water guardians becomes feasible, opening up easier sea exploration.

To me Revali and Urbosa seemed the most capable against their blight. Mipha and Daruk were screwed by their shorter spear and the flame shield respectively, but Urbosa was a skilled fighter, and Revali had slots of room to fly. I guess without their stuff they got dunked

Revali should have been able to win, but the tornadoes could have hindered his flight ability.

QuickSilver Gaming77 that would’ve been funny if the king had said “the champions lost their lives except Revali” and then after going to the rito village and having Revali say “It’s about time you showed up I’m too old to help you now.” Maybe then link would thank him for keeping one of the divine beasts free. I found it hilarious the first time I heard the deku tree say to link “even my patience has limits you know”. To be honest the shrine of resurrection is pretty sad if it takes a hundred years to do what mipha can in a few seconds.
technically, according to age of calamity, the towers were brought above ground before link fell to the calamity. and in one of the memories, it shows Zelda trying to access an activated shrine, therefore showing us that shrines were active before link fell. also, as shown in age of calamity, the sheika slate had all the runes, because we see Zelda use all of these runes.
AOC isn't canon though. We literally see the towers rise up in the beginning of BotW - it makes 0 sense for them to have been able to do it prior to Link activating the Great Plateau tower. They can get away with it in AOC cuz it's an alternate universe that's not tied to the canon/timeline.

After reading a lot of comments, I have to say that even if Link only had some sticks going into Hyrule Castle, he could still get weapons to face Ganon as Hyrule Castle is host to some of the best weapons in the game: the royal guards set.
Also, the champions could've won against the blights. Fireblight can do nothing to daruk (thanks to infinite use of Daruk's protection)except hope that he steps into malice,
mipha is not a fighter so will probably die, Revali can fly and from what I've seen stay steady in winds which negates most of windblights attacks and if unfortunately for urbosa she did not have the thunder helm to protect her from electric attacks.
If I gave a percentage for each one to win it would be: Daruk - 95%, Mipha - 20%, Urbosa - 50%, Revali - 60%.
I mean mipha can bring you back from the dead so she could last a while. also she could have jumped off vah ruta and came back with her spear
Except Daruk died to Fireblight. It's stated that the champions died to their respective blights. Also, Mipha WAS a warrior.
Real Chances of them winning: 0%. They died in the game. That happened. One on One. Forget about Link and Zelda helping, they were somewhere else.
I believe all of the champions were unarmed/without their signature weapons. During the Lanaryu gate cutscene none of them have their weapons when they rush to the beasts. Their weapons are also in the possession of their village elders, meaning they left them behind. Fireblight's shield might've been too hot for Daruk to get through. Waterblight had a much longer spear. Urbosa lacked the Thunder Helm. Revali? IDK why he died

I think that fandoms power is stored inside the castle because of that core thing he comes out of in the fandoms boss fight so that would probably mean that Gabon’s power would slowly weaken if he left his power behind so that’s probably why he doesn’t leave the castle
Zelda and Link flee AS the champions die, not after. Theoretically it is possible for Link to have survived ALONG with the champions.
But they were trapped inside the beasts with the blights controlling them. Probably there was no escape...
@@aurora01010 The blights were only able to take over the Beasts after the champions fell. The chronological order is that Link gets injured and he and Zelda flee. The Champions all start to struggle, and Zelda laments her inability to help them, at which point Link falls unconscious and she calls for help, and asks for him to be taken to the Shrine of Resurrection to recover. After all of this, the Champions fall, and the blights take over the Divine Beasts, and Calamity Ganon starts taking over the rest of the Guardians and such, and starts to destroy the landscape.

@@musicalmather1160 Yeah, that was about the Calamity taking over the guardians and such. Specifically about how they destroyed everything. That was what the swiftness referred to. Impa also isn't reciting things from her own experience, it's history at that point. This is the cutscene she first shows after you talk to her. The one with the tapestry showing Calamity Ganon. She wouldn't have had to have been there to know, because it's history (or story important, so she has to know. Just like King Rhoam has to know what happens despite him not being there.) But I remember her saying something like "The champions all fought valiantly, but ultimately they fell at the hands of Calamity Ganon's creations. With the Champions unable to pilot the Divine Beasts, Ganon quickly possessed the Beasts and Guardians, ancient machines designed to protect Hyrule. He turned the very protection we made against us. Cities and towns were destroyed with only the ruins of places and Guardians left to show what had happened on that day. The day Hyrule fell." I didn't get it word for word but I think that's basically what she said. I'm pretty sure I got the order correct, but if anyone has the actual order from the script, feel free to correct me. I'm not trying to insist something that's wrong, I just think I have a pretty good idea of the chronological order of events was.

I'm pretty sure link was actually super op before the shrine of ressurection considering he was able to pull out the master sword with ease originally meaning he had at least 13 hearts, most likely more since it was easy. He didn't even need the shrines, also, the master sword never breaks, the recharging is just for gameplay so it isn't too op. He was also able to kill at least 3 lynels and 10 bokoblins with just a few scratches.
Link can respawn and use save points because of -DETERMINATION- courage.
There is a theory that says that the Triforce of Courage gives Link quantum immortality, which is represented in the games by the ability to save and load.

But when you find the Master Sword, the Great Deku tree tells you that you would be able to pull it from the stone without problems, but after his recovery of 100 years, he has grown weak and NEEDS 13 hearts to pull the Master Sword, meaning that before/during the Calamity, he didn’t need to have 13 hearts to pull the sword.

I think that they may have discovered the Great Plateau Shrines.
You state it yourself, The Great Plateau Tower was revealed when Calamity Ganon was revived. Not when he was sealed.
At some point, Link and Zelda would have made a pilgrimage to the Great Plateau, to visit the destroyed temple. Once they visited this location, they would have had little issue discovering the tower. Link or Zelda would have used the Tower, releasing the other towers and unlocking the Shrines.
With this, they would have tried the closest shrine, revealing the Magnesis Rune. Zelda would of course, be thrilled by this discovery and insist upon investigating the nearest additional shrines, giving Link the other three runes. I'd imagine they would clear the good portion of the Great Plateau, and set up base there. Methods of climbing up and down the plateau would also be created, as they would have naturally had to carry a dead Link up to the plateau at some point.
With the four additional runes, and the Shiekah still alive, they could have boarded three divine beasts, and used the beasts to knock the fourth out of the sky, this would allow them to set up four beasts, and damage Ganon, when the time was needed.
However, that is besides the point. With each shrine being available, Link would be able to access additional strength and power, and while some shrines required a verse from a song to unlock, seriously, at one point the Shiekah master would have had to discover this himself, thus I believe that a scholar like Zelda and Link combined, would have been able to discover the secret.
So, in order:
- They go to the plateau.
- The tower is revealed, because the tower was reveal WHEN Ganon was revived, not when Zelda sealed him.
- They unlock all Shrines.
- They investigate the four Plateau Shrines.
- They get the runes.
- They make a base of operations on the Plateau.
- They visit each shrine that they can.
- They begin their assault again each divine beast.
- They proceed to free each beast.
- Once unlocked, they speak with the spirits. Also, Zelda's Father was a spirit who created the glider. If a King can do it, so can Zelda.
- Link received Spirit Power.
- They challenge Ganon.
- Zelda Manefests the Bow of Light.
- They proceed to damage Ganon.
- They finish off the Beast.
- They win.
However, the Guardian will indeed continue to rampage during this time, but they are susceptible to damage. The world would be worse off, yes, but they could indeed win.
what if Zelda taught link how to pilot vah ruta then someone took him there and THEN he spammed lasers at ganon! think about it
But I don’t think Zelda knew how to pilot the divine beasts. If she did, she probably would have at least tried to teach others just in case the champions died. Also who would take him there? Not saying no one would do it but who would be faster than link himself? The Rito WOULD be able to but divine beast vah medoh stops them from flying. I don’t think anyone would help him get there faster. Also, even if he could get there in time, and knew how to use it, I don’t think he could have “spammed lasers”. I think the divine beasts have to recharge after shooting, otherwise why wouldn’t at the end of the game, the champions and there divine beasts keep shooting lasers at ganon, getting him to lower heath and possibly killing him (or getting him to his boar 🐗 form). So, sorry, but your theory does not hold up. But thank you for thinking about it!
