Solomon Wilcots is probably the best hire you guys have ever made. He's articulate, has a great voice, and speaks with clarity and proper emphasis on words to drive points home succinctly without sounding overly excited or fake. Keep him in videos.
I’m glad it’s cleared up. Now I get to watch Trubisky make 10 “turnover worthy” throws, but throw three TDs. 28.7 grade
kind of wish you also explained the INTs you don't credit to the qb because the receiver bobbled it 6 times. some people seem to forget that one
Gibster very true
really good video, thanks
Thanks to Shannon and Mark we all have a meeting today, just to reiterate what everyone else knows... it’s science, maybe a job behind the cameras might be better suited for you two... just something to think about.
makes sense.
Strip sacks are pretty easy and objective. Even then, do they get dinged if the sack comes so quickly that he has no chance to throw the ball away or protect the ball? Or is blind sided by a blitz and missed block?
Determining that a ball should have been intercepted is subjective. For example, at the 2:14 point in the video where the defender tips the ball and the ball is caught by the receiver, I would not count that because the defender just barely managed to tip the ball with one hand. His chance to have caught it was near zero. Maybe if he were 5 inches taller or able to jump 5 inches higher he would have had a better chance. Good QBs will often throw 50/50 balls to their top receivers and expect their receiver to be able to compete and win against the defender. A QB should not be penalized for those throws sometimes even if the defender wins.
Got a tad Orwellian in the end, but still a great explanation that helps make sense of the recent QB rankings.
If fumble is 50/50, you shouldn’t be as harsh on it as int. Should be half the negative grade of int. Tell me why not
PFF's system allows for different levels of turnover worthy plays

Appreciate it
A fumble recovery is a 50/50 chance, but unless the fumbled occurred in the process of the QB throwing it, the QB fumbling the ball is usually a matter of the QB doing a poor job at protecting the ball.
kind of like a cringe-worthy stat that no one pays attention to, also known as click-bait
If your offensive line doesn't protect you and a sack fumble occurs, it is a turnover worthy play. If the ball bounces out of the hands of your receiver and in to the hands of a defender, it is a turnover worthy play. If there is a full moon and your not near the coasts when passing, it is a turnover worthy play. Finally, if we want to say Dak Prescott is a better QB then Patrick Mahomes, and we need something to create this narrative, random plays will become turnover worthy plays.
Or stop crying that your favorite player isn't listed as the best because he fumbled
@@TheMrAlexi sensitive?
@@RobETaylor sounds to me like you are the sensitive one.
Robert Taylor non of those were turnover worthy plays. They have clarified that one in the past. If it’s not their fault it’s not a turnover worthy play
